《second best // dnf》40. The Beach

Sapnap pulled up his phone, Karl was face timing again and wanted to speak to George.
"Hello there Gogy! How are you?"
George just nodded, causing everyone to laugh hysterically. Karl asked when he was coming home and when he was heading back up England. George and I were propped up in the bed answering Karl's questions when I looked down, he was already asleep.

A few hours after George went unconscious (again) we were driving home from the hospital. We all decided they today was going to be a beach day because George was going back to England three. It was a tough decision but it was for the best. Ezra was still out there, waiting.
It was still quite early in the afternoon so we drove down to the beach. Sapnap suggested we listen to music, he was driving while me and George were in the back. He swiped through his playlist until he shouted, "Aha! This is a good one!" and turned up the volume.
A massive smile grew on my face as I heard what song it was: Classic by MKTO. "I LOVE THIS SONG!" I cheered and George laughed.
Simultaneously, me and Sapnap sang, "Ooo girl your shining like a 5th avenue diamond, and they don't make you like they used to, you're never going outta style!"
We kept on singing and George kept laughing, until it got to the chorus and all three of us loudly sang, "You're over my head, outta my mind! Thinking I was born, in the wrong time! One of a kind everything is so throwbackish! Kinda like it! Outta my league, old school chic, like a movie star from a silver screen, yeah one of a kind living in a world gone plastic, baby you're so classic!"

I leant over and kissed George. Sapnap saw from the wing mirror and yelled, "WOAH WOAH! Keep it PG back there please!"
I wheezed, "I only kissed him!"
"Yeah well I don't wanna see that!"
We all laughed it off and we arrived in the small town where the beach was. Sapnap parked the car on a small street and we all got out.
"Where's the beach?" George asked with a frown.
"It's about a ten minute walk away from here," I explained, "If you look over there, then you can see the ocean."
He got up on his tiptoes and started looking around, still frowning. His eyes scanned the landscape but he couldn't see it.
"Oh my God!" Sapnap chortled, "He's so short he can't even see the ocean!"
George crossed his arms and frowned, "Sapnap, what the fuck, we're literally the same height."
I put my hands on his waist and lifted him onto my shoulders, his legs dangled either side of my neck.
"Oh my God! Dream! Put me down, I look like an idiot!" he hissed.
I snapped, "Shut up and just look!"
I pointed to the ocean and he looked too. George's jaw dropped open as he gazed at the blue water.
Sapnap ruined the moment by saying, "It's almost as beautiful as me."
"SAPNAP!" I yelled.
George got off of my shoulders as we started to make our way down to the beach. George had a backpack of all of the stuff we need on his back and it looked heavy.
Once we got down to the beach, we kicked off our shoes and walked on the sand bare-foot. George stuck his tongue out and wiped the sweat from his forehead.
"It's sooooo hotttt!" he drawled and sipped his water.

Throwing our towels down on the sand and dumped down our bags. Sapnap put on a pair of sunglasses and started strutting around, modelling them.
"Snazzy," I smirked.
George got on the floor and started building a sand castle.
"Are you kidding?!" Sapnap snickered, "You're building a sand castle?! What are you five?"
"Shut up and help me, Snapmap!"
I wandered over further away from the two of them, I was going to build my own sand castle. After about thrirty minutes, I had finished my sand castle and to be honest, it looked really good! I glanced at them.
Their sandcastle looked trash and they were arguing about something. Sapnap threw sand at George and George shouted at him as it got in his eye. Sapnap then pushed George backwards and he stumbled and accidentally fell on top of their sandcastle.
"GEORGE! WHAT THE HELL?!" he screamed.
"Oh no! I'm sorry!"
Sapnap scrambled over to George and whispered something in his ear. A massive smile grew on his face and he whispered something back.
Then, George came over to me, glancing at my sandcastle every so often. "Hello Dream."
"Hi George."
"Nice sandcastle."
"Thank you," I said raising an eyebrow.
He smiled and sat on my lap. I gave him a confused look; his hands found their way to my cheeks and he kissed me. A small smile tugged on my lips as he wrapped his arms around my neck. Then, I leaned in towards him but he quickly dodged the kiss and jumped off of me, causing me to fall into my own sandcastle.
"YESSS GEORGE!" Sapnap cheered and high-fived George.
"You guys are cheaters!" I protested, "You're just jealous that mine looked better than yours!"
"As if!" Sapnap yelled in a disgusted manner.
We packed up our towels are our bags and headed back into the town. It was getting late now, stars were appearing in the sky. Sapnap bought us all ice creams from a parlour and we sat down to watch the sunset.
I rested my head against George's as he ate his strawberry ice cream. In awe, I gawped at the beautiful colors of the sunset: amber, yellow, pink, red.
After relaxing for while, the sun had been replaced by the moon and stars glittered in the night sky.
I put my arm around George's shoulder and whispered.
"I love you George."
"Shut up idiot."
"C'mon," I giggled, "You love me too."
"Whatttt? Nooo!" he scoffed but he reached up and kissed my cheek.
