《second best // dnf》2. Jackbox Stream

I was in love with GeorgeNotFound and he didn't love me back. I felt like I was falling. And I couldn't stop.
______________________________
I clambered into my bed, overwhelmed with a thousand different emotions all at the same time: anger, exhaustion, sorrow. Patches jumped onto my lap and I gently petted her soft fur. She purred. I grabbed a blanket from the edge of the bed and wrapped around my shoulders as I shivered from the coldness that consumed my room.
On Twitter the hashtags: 'EzraNotFound' and 'George'sNewBoyfriend were currently trending and fans had started posting fanart images of Ezra and George.
Usually, when I open Twitter, my home page is flooded with 'DreamNotFound' fanart of me and George; it's all really sweet. So, it was a kick in the gut to see that my own fans had replaced me with this Ezra guy.
A notification appeared on my phone, and I reach to grab it, squinting from the bright light that emitted from the screen. After sliding down the brightness on it, I noticed the notification was from Quackity.
Quackity: jackbox w/ me, Karl, Corpse, Bad and Sapnap?? I'm streaming.
I sighed and rolled out of bed. I could use a distraction from the whole George situation. Sitting down at my desk, I logged onto my computer and joined the discord.
Sapnap and Quackity were shouting at Bad for some random reason and Karl could barely speak, he was laughing so hard.
"Oh hey Dream,"Corpse said calmly.
"Oh finallyyy!" Quackity yelled, "We've only been waiting an eternity for you!"
I buried my face in my palms, I already had a throbbing headache but I decided to continue playing as I know how mad Quackity gets when you leave mid-stream.
I was deep in thought when Quackity began talking.

"Chat wants me to turn up Dream up cuz they can't hear him!" Quackity laughed, "It's cuz he ain't talking! That's why you can't hear him!"
I groaned, "Sorry I'm tired."
"Okay, is everyone here?" Bad asked.
"Yeah! I wanna play Quiplash!" Karl exclaimed.
I began typing in my answers to Quiplash. Most of the questions involved inappropriate stuff and other weird shit.
We all carried on playing for another 30 minutes or so. Karl was winning and Bad was losing. I was currently in third place behind Quackity.
Everything was completely normal. Until someone new joined the discord call.
No one noticed to begin with; everyone was too busy shouting about how terrible BadBoyHalo is at Jackbox.
"Hello,"said a small voice.
"GEORGE!"
"GOGY OH MY GOD HI!"
"WASSUP GEORGE"
Everyone exploded into excited shouts; everyone except for me, obviously. I inhaled sharply and rubbed my face with the back of my hands.
Quackity begged for George to play with them and eventually he gave in and joined the game. Everyone agreed they wanted the play the Rap Battle game on Jackbox.
Everything was going smoothly to begin with. Corpse battled Bad and won, George beat Karl and Sapnap had to go against a bot and lost which was embarrassing. Eventually, it was mine and Quackity's turn. I went first:
"Your rhymes are stinky,
They smell like shit,
My raps are amazing,
My lines are lit!"
Everyone cheered for me, telling me that I was definitely going to win. Quackity tried to drown out my compliments by swearing, very loudly. It was now his turn.
"Everyone loves me,
I start all the trends,
There's no hiding it,
We all know your jealous of George's new boyfriend!"
Quackity started laughing, hysterically, hyping himself up. However, he stopped immediately when he realised no one else had said anything.

An awkward silence lingered over the discord call. I felt my cheeks grow hot. I was trembling and there was a lump in my throat like when you dry swallow a pill.
The silence was shattered when George quickly said, "Um, I have to go, I-uh. Bye."
I tried to steady my breathing; there was a horrible ringing in my ears. George had left the call.
Quackity cleared his throat and with a serious tone, began to talk, "Dream I-"
"Sorry Quackity's chat. Guys I'll speak to you later," I quickly interrupted.
I hung up the call and slammed my fist against the desk. Quackity might have just ruined everything.
