Chapter 23. Wedding.
"Tae. Reach Medical now". Tae received a call from Thanitt while he was in a meeting with his seniors. He was kind of relaxed since the crazy doctors were back to their past terms. He was glad Tee and Thanitt were back to friends. They cleared their doubts and guilts and now the unofficial couple had to bear endless tease from Tee.
He was worried to listen to the panicked voice of Thanitt and excused form his seniors as soon as he held on his reflexes. Blasting his bike on full speed he reached the medical cafe in 2 minutes. His heart shattered to see Tee crying bitterly in Copter's embrace.
"Tee. Baby. What happened to you? What happened guys"? He took Tee in his arms, rubbing circles on his back.
"Tae. I think we should go home. We dont have any more classes and if you are not free....".
"There is nothing important than Tee to me. Lets go". He took Tee to his bike and clasped his hands tightly around his stomach. Thanitt and Copter took Thanitt's car and they reached in TaeTee's apartment in no time. Tee had still not stopped crying and every tear was upsetting Tae.
"Here. Have water Tee. Calm down". Copter held him a glass of water but Tee was more interested in clinging to Tae, almost sitting in his lap.
"Thanitt. Copter what is it? You guys are getting on my nerves. He was fine in the morning, what happened in 2 hours that led him to this state"? Tae snapped. Thanitt heaved a sigh looking at Copter who nodded.
"We were in the cafe when Tee got a call from his parents. They are looking for him. Its good that they dont know your apartment Tae, but i would say to shift on another place. They were very furious and said they would snatch Tee from you and will get him married to the girl of their choice. Hence...". Thanitt pointed at Tee who was still hiccuping in Tae's arms.
"The f.... I will kill them". Tae roared. Thanitt patted his knee, lip syncing that Tee was already upset. Tae took a deep breath and saw his baby exhausted. He picked him up bridal style and tucked him in the bed. He put his pillow for Tee to hug while he went in the lounge again. He dialled Singto to come with everyone.
"What are you thinking Tae"? Copter asked Tae who was frowning.
"I have to take Tee away. But this wont be a permanent solution. How long can i hide him? He is their son after all"? Tae said in an upsetting tone.
"Why dont you guys marry each other"? Thanitt said in a calm tone. Tae snapped his head to see him with piercing eyes. He was trying to judge Thanitt if there was some hidden agenda or what. Copter looked at Tae and Thanitt and nodded his head in agreement.
"By wedding it should be a legally registered wedding. Priest and mayor. You know you cannot fake it in front of his parents. One wrong step will destroy everything. You know they are powerful. We can arrange for everything as soon as you talk to Tee". Thanitt said. Just then their friends came too. They discussed it and it was Tul who second Thanitt.

"Thanitt is right Tae. You guys should get married. This way, one, only you would have a legal right on Tee. Second, there would be no sword of Tee's marriage with anyone else hanging on your head". Max said too. Tae was looking at them in deep thoughts.
"You sure guys"?
"Ofcourse. This is the only way to secure Tee. They wont be able to do anything. But again be very precise and careful". Krist said straightening his back. They were still pondering when Tee came in the lounge. Without saying a word he walked to Tae and curled at his side.
"How you feeling baby? Hungry"? Tae kissed his forehead. Tee sighed but nodded his head. He was surely hungry. He didnt have his lunch either. Singto called the food service to order their favorite.
"What are you thinking Tee"? Tae asked Tee who shook his head. Copter looked at him and held his hand.
"Tee. We know you are really upset. But we have a solution to it. A permanent one". Tee looked at him with a little hope in his eyes. "We think, hiding or running away wont solve the problem. We have come to a solution that you guys should marry as soon as possible. By marrying we mean priest and mayor. A complete process. Nothing to fake. What you say"? Copter explained. Tee had his eyes wide open for a while before he turned to all.
"My god Copgi. Why didnt i think about it. Ofcourse this way Mom Dad wont be able to do anything since Tae would be my legal husband". He smacked his own forehead. Tae heaved a sigh of relief. He thought Tee might panic but phew....
"Tae. You agree"? He turned to Tae who smiled at his warmly.
"Though it isnt as i had thought about our wedding, with all lavish arrangements, but i can do anything for your saftey. To keep you away from anyone who would snatch you". Tae gathered him to his chest.
"Great. Now"... Singto was about to say something but just then Krist received a call from the front desk about food delivery and Tul left with Max to get the food. They thought about resuming the talk after food.
"So.. I was saying, that i am sure Tee's parents will get to know about it. So have you thought how to deal with them"? Singto resumed once they cleared everything.
"I.. Well i dont know how would i react or what would i do, but i am sure i will fight for him. I wont trade him for anyone". Tee leaned into Tae who wrapped his arms around him. They had to do everything quickly to get it over. Thanitt had decided to go for the weekend since they were free from the quizes the next week. They didnt want to add burden to Tee's shoulders.
The planning lasted till night and then their friends left to go shopping next day. If not lavish, or extravaggent, they at least needed rings and a reasonable dress other than tee shirt and jeans.
Tae Tee were excited. From boyfriends to husband. Tee couldnt sleep whole night, weaving so many dreams with Tae but all he heard was snoring. He chuckled looking at Tae and he pecked his lips, laying close to Tae. He prayed in his heart that nothing goes wrong on his special day, though he wished his parents would have agreed, that would have made him so happy. But, no use to waste the happiness over stupid past.

They really had a great time choosing rings for each other and then dresses. They treated their friends with lunch for sharing their happiness. They were eagerly waiting for the weekend to roll over soon. Tae was arranging the things he would need on Saturday, when he heard a knock on the door. Being careful he saw through the peephole and quickly opened the door to see his parents standing.
Tee greeted them happily along Tae. But surely they were surprised to see them at the hour and that too wiht so many bags.
"Mom, Dad what is it"? Tae asked confused. His mother smiled, kissing both of their foreheads..
"These are for your wedding. Just a little from a mom". She said cupping both of their cheeks in one hand. Tee suddenly felt guilty. He tried to push down the lump but ended up crying. He felt he snatched the dreams of a mother. He felt he broke her hopes and excitement of how she must have planned for her son's wedding. The bags were already countless, and how would she had recated if it would be according to her wishes.
Tae's mother smiled at him and gathered him in her arms.
"Tee. Son, i am not disappointed at you. You dont need to feel bad at all. It is not your fault. I know you wish, if your parents would have agreed too, but son, we are your parents too. And its not only for Tae but you too. Since you are my son too. Right"? She said in her loving tone.
"But Mom, i am not worth it. I broke your dreams. I snatched your happiness Mom. Please forgive me. I couldnt make my parents understand and i ....". He was hiccuping now.
"Sshhh Tee. Son. Time is the best medicine of all. One day or another, they will realise.. They will understand that a mother and father can only stay happy when their child is happy. I am sure son, they will come around. Hmmm? Now show me what did you guys buy"? This time Tae's dad spoke effectively changing and diverting Tee's mind.
Tae and Tee reached the mayor office together. They couldnt risk the security of Tee by taking him alone. Though it was all silent, but they couldnt not shake that nagging feeling in their heart. Even Tee had a hunch that something going to happen today. The mayor was all ready with the documents and they quickly started with the little ceremony.
Tae and Tee were in tears to say their vows in front of the priest while exchanging their rings. Even their friends felt his longing but they couldnt do anything. Everyone sighed in relief when they both signed the papers, stating them husbands and husbands. Tae lovingly kissed those red lips turning him into a shy princess. Today he felt his heart at peace. No one could snatch Tee away from him now.
They were surorunded with hugs and smiles when the mayor office echoed withh a loud noise of a lady screaming in pure anger.
"Thanapon Jarujitaranon". Tee paled listening to the loud voice of his mother. He clutched Tae's hand tightly.
"Mo...om". He stuttered turning around to see his mom and dad surrounded by their guards.
"How could you Tee. You ungrateful boy". His dad snarled. "Take him away". He signalled his guards to take Tee away but Tae pulled him behind. He was standing firm to defend his husband and love of his life.
"I am sorry sir, but he is my husband. And under no condition you can take him away from me". He said in a cold tone. His mother held Tee in his arms while his father stood beside his son. "Also, i am respectfully requesting you to please take your guards down. I dont want to creat a ruckus here". He tried to be polite but forgot that he was talking to the most arrogant people in the world. Or that he had met.
"He is my son and i dont give a fuck on the papers you have signed. Now Tee would you listen to me or not? Because boy you will face the worst consequences. I would kill this so called documented and staged husband of yours, with the friends and family and will drag you away.
No way in this life you will get married to a boy". His dad spoke in a hatred filled tone.
Tae was about to snap back but this time Tee held his hand. He was trembling and shaking, with fear and disappointment and anger. He was sad. But he had promised that he would protect Tae and he was a man himself. He calmly stood besides Tae, cupped his face and kissed him on lips before moving to stand between his parents and Tae. Tae moved to stand with him, to hold him, but Tee raised his hand.
"Mom. Dad. I wont say or ask anything. But one question. Am i really your son? Did i ever let you down? Did i ever do anything you forbade me? I always tried to make you guys happy and proud of me, but no. I cant make you happy ever.
He *he stepped back to hold Tae's hand* is the only happiness i ask for myself. And why does it even matter if i dont marry a rich girl? Take my all property if that makes you happy to expand your business but please dont take me away from Tae. I wont be able to live without him. Tell me where i have to sign to transfer all my property to you so that you will never need to arrange a girl for me. Please". He kneeled down in tears in front of his parents. Clasping his hands together in front of them.
Tae clenched his fists. He wanted to scoop him in his arms but he respected Tee's command to wait and let him talk to his parents. And apparently they knew it would be a waste of time. Because all Tae saw was a smirk of victory that appeared on Tee's dad as if he had got his son back from Tae.
