《(Discontinued) Outer Banks | JJ x reader》Part 14

Gavin ran out of his house and got in his car.
"Alright, here he comes. Stay down." Pope told us, all of us ducking as Gavins car drove out.
"He didn't see us." JJ confirmed. "Go, go." I told Kie. "My seatbelt!" Pope shouted as Kie started the car. "You're really buckling right now?" I asked him. "You don't need it right now!" JJ added.
I listened to Gavin call Ward on the airpods. "He's talking to Ward." I told them. "Get closer, it's breaking up." I added as Gavins voice started to get staticky.
"He's talking about negotiating something, re-negotiating," I informed them as I kept listening. "Gavins got the gun that Rafe used to kill Peterkin." I continued.
"Holy shit." Kie and Pope replied at the same time.
"I think he's trying to use it as leverage." I told them as Gavin was trying to get more money and the plane for the gun.
"Wait, he's pulling over." Kie told us as Gavins car in front of us pulled to the side of the road. "Shit. He's panicking." I said as Gavin started ranting.
"Do I pull behind him? What do I do?" Kie asked. "Go around the block." Pope commanded. Kie did.
We went down a road but there was construction blocking it. Both of the boys started yelling things to Kie, and then when Kie tried to follow what they were saying, a construction vehicle pulled behind the car so we were stuck.
JJ got out and started yelling something but I wasn't listening. We needed this to get John B out. I got out of the car also, running towards where Gavins car was parked.
"Hey, (Y/N)! Where are you going!" JJ yelled at me. "We gotta know where they're meeting!" I yelled back, still running.

I'm pretty sure they followed after me, but I was more focused on running through the yards and jumping fences. Some girls in a pool even yelled at me, saying hi.
Finally I could hear them. They were going to a construction sight near the surf shop. Gavin was gonna bring the gun and Ward was gonna bring the money.
The others finally ran up to me as Gavin was driving away and I stood up from behind a hedge.
"What?" Kie asked me as I just stared for a second. "He's meeting Ward right now. We gotta go." I told them urgently. We all ran back to the car and got out as fast as we could.
When we got to the construction sight, it was raining, and we got behind a fence to watch. Pope pulled out a large camera.
"Nice camera. Where'd you dig up that relic? Why don't you just use your phone?" JJ question. "Well, first of all, I like my antique electronics. Second of all, this is a telephoto. It allows me to get a close image from far away." Pope replied.
"Lord of the dorks." I muttered under my breath as Pope continued, "For definitive proof of witness payoff, we're gonna need quality glass."
"There's Ward." Kie told us, stopping Pope from his rant. "Yo, get down." JJ said. We all ducked more. "And there's Gavin." I added as him and Ward ran into a building that was under construction.
"No, no, no, no. I'm loosing him. Shit!" Pope said, looking through his camera. "Hold on." JJ told us before running off. A second later we heard a whistle and, "Yo! Hey! I found something. Come here."
We all turned and followed JJ up a ladder and onto the top of a building where we could see Ward and Gavin.

"Are you getting it?" I asked Pope. "Yeah, I see them." Pope replied.
"Ward just handed Gavin something. I think it's a duffel bag." Pope said. "Guys, I think this is a payoff." JJ noted. Yeah no shit Sherlock.
"Gavin doesn't look happy about something. It looks like he's yelling at Ward." "Why?," Kie asked Pope. "I don't know, but he sure looks mad." Pope replied.
We saw them talk for a second longer but then they started grabbing onto each other. "Woah, woah, woah." JJ said. "What's going on?" I questioned. "I dunno. They're fighting over something." Pope replied.
We watched as Ward threw Gavin, punched him, and kicked him. We were all asking questions that none of us could answer.
Then Ward tossed Gavin into a table. We couldn't see directly but I'm pretty sure I saw dark red tinting the rain.
"Wards got a gun." Pope told us. "It's probably the murder weapon." Kie replied.
It was quiet for a while. Then there were gun shots. JJ grabbed onto my hand, Pope and Kie gasped.
Pope and Kie were mumbling things but it was like I had blocked them out. JJ and I were just looking at each other, nothing else was heard, nothing else was needed. Only me and the crystal blue eyes.
We finally looked away from each other when Pope stood up. "Tell me you just got that." I said to Pope. "Enough to put this asshole away for life." Pope replied.
There was another gunshot and Pope said, "This is freaking crazy."
"I think we should go right now." JJ told us. All of us wanted to get out of this situation clearly, but JJ had things with guns because of his father. "You have enough, right, Pope?" I asked. Pope nodded.
We almost got up before Pope stopped us, "Hold on, he's coming out. I think he's looking for the gun."
"I think the gun just went down the drain. He's looking for it." Pope continued.
"Hold this," Kie handed Pope a flashlight. "What are you doing, Kie?" JJ asked her as she stood up.
"What is wrong with you! Murderer!" Kie yelled out of nowhere. What the actual fuck. Is she trying to get us all killed.
I let go of JJ's hand (that I didn't realize I was still gripping onto), and pulled Kie down, also putting my hand over her mouth so she couldn't talk. I ended up on top of her because of how I pulled her down. "What the hell are you doing." I scolded her.
Kie bit my hand, letting her talk. "I don't care if he hears me. He's a murderer." She yelled a second longer before I put my hand over her mouth yet again.
"He's gonna murder us, Kie, if you don't shut the fuck up." I told her.
"Guys he's coming." Pope said. "Go!" JJ told us. I got off of Kie as we went down the ladder. They all went first.
Kie stepped on JJ's hand, making him and Pope fall. "Sorry." She said as we both made our way down as fast as we could after them.
Pope seemed to have broken the camera. Fuck fuck fuck fuck.
"Are you kidding me? Your fumbled it?" JJ asked Pope. "You kicked me in the face!" Pope retaliated. "She stepped on my hand," JJ pointed to Kie. "I was trying to hurry." Kie protested.
"Enough! We have to go." I yelled at them. Even though we didn't have evidence anymore, we still had our lives so we should probably take care of them first.

DarkBoi69's mediocre, rushed and badly-written aventure
Follow DarkBoi69's edgy adventure as I move him through a shitty plot where he meets terribly-written characters like angry evil stupid villains and naive cute useless busty women. This story is not really an actual serious story but simply a writing exercise for me to focus on overall writing speed, forcefully insert some writing in my everyday life to increase productivity and most importantly help with turning ideas, thoughts or feelings into writing directly without feeling blocked, hopefully trying to achieve something as close as possible to writing unconsciously what i’m thinking about. I'll probably try to do something like writing as much in 30 mins as I can, nearly every-day. So far I've only done this once and it already seems like a pretty good thing to do. I don’t have anything planned and that’s probably going to be a constant for every one of these exercises, so it’ll end up being not very good (although maybe better than it has any right to be? ) and nonsensical.
