We stopped at an abandoned building that had trashed things all around and waited. We heard a plane and all stood up, looking up to see the Cameron's plane flying off. "There goes the gold." Pope said. He turned around saying, "Shit!" JJ then kicked a chair. "Fuck!" Pope yelled and threw something. "Pope!" Kie said. "God damn it!" Pope yelled and grabbed a bat, hitting many things while saying many cuss words. JJ pushed me behind him protectively as if Pope was going to go completely crazy. I was gonna stop him, but then realized that it probably had something to do with his dad. He wanted to protect me as if Pope was his dad. Then I was sad that he had to think that. "Pope!" Kie yelled as he threw a trash can. Pope sat down on a couch, almost crying. "Pope." Kie said as we walked up to him. "Yeah, dude. I was wondering when this was gonna happen." JJ told him. He then got out a jul and held it out to Pope. "Here you go chef." He said. "A little weed never hurt no one." He added. "JJ." Kie said. "Relax, Kie." JJ replied. "You know he doesn't smoke." Kiara told JJ. Pope then grabbed the jul. "Well, maybe not until today." I said and sat down next to Pope, JJ sitting on the other side. "Pope. Yeah, what is that gonna help?" Kie asked. "I lost my scholarship. Walked out in the middle of the interview. Every- It's gone. It's not gonna happen." Pope replied. "You did that for us?" Kie asked. "No, not for us. For nothing." Pope said and handed me the jul, standing up. "I'm here for you, Pope." JJ said and stood up, putting his hands on Popes shoulders. I stood up and stood beside Pope. "Welcome to our world." I told him and handed him the jul. "(Y/N), JJ." Kie said. "What Kie? He's right. It doesn't matter anymore." JJ replied as Pope walked away and leaned against a pole. "You don't have to do that." Kie told Pope as he took a hit of the jul. "What do you care?" Pope asked her. Pope then looked behind us, us looking back too to see John B. Something was wrong with him. "John B!" I said. "Dude! Dude, you good?" JJ asked at the same time along with Kie saying, "Oh my god! John B." We all ran up to him, me first and I hugged him. He hugged me back but only for a second since I pulled away. I grabbed his hands that had blood on them. "Is this yours?" I asked him. "Who's blood is that?" Kie asked. "Hey, John B, are you okay?" I asked and held his face so he looked at me. A siren then came behind us and we all hid behind the junk. When it left, we all looked at John B. We then all got in the car instead of the van, and John B told us to drive to the police station. Kie drove and John B and Pope sat in the middle seats, me and JJ in the very back while John B told us what had happened. "John B, what are we doing at the police station?" JJ asked as we pulled up. "Somebody's gotta tell them what happened." John B replied. Pope started coughing hard because of the joint we gave him. "Easy there, chief. Damn." I said. "All right. I'm just gonna be real with you right now. You might end up in the lions den, but you don't go there on purpose. It's fundamental. Just like my old man always told me, you should never trust cops, no matter what the circumstance is." JJ told JB. "Your old mans an abusive liar." Kie replied. "I agree with JJ. Fuck the police." Pope said. "You goin to the dark side now?" Kie asked. "When's the last time the police helped us?" Pope asked. "Peterkin looked out for me and (Y/N), all right? Tried to, at least." JB replied. "They need to know." JB added and then got out of the car. After not even five minutes, John B ran back out yelling, "Kie! Start the car!" "What? John B? What did you do?" Kie asked as he got in the car. "Shit!" I said as cops came out of the building and to the car. "Kie drive! Go!" We all yelled. One deputy hung onto the door as Kie drove. "Open it." I told JB. He opened the door and the deputy fell before we drove away. Since it was night, we parked at a abandoned house in the woods that had a cover. Kie and Pope sat in the front seats, and me, JJ, and John B sat in the middle seats, them leaned back all the way, and I laid on JJ's chest. Since we had turned off the car, we opened all the windows and the back trunk. The next morning, we listened as the radio talked about Peterkin. Kie turned the radio off. "Let's game this out. Maybe you guys can help, being the smart ones and all, but, who are are the cops going to believe? Ward Cameron or us? So, the accuser is a big shot developer, kind of lord of the island, got the governor on speed dial kind of person, and the accused, is John B who is... pretty much a homeless 16-year-old boy at the moment." JJ told us. Oh, I should mention that me, JJ, and Pope has been smoking half the night so we were all high, Pope more than us. "Thanks." JB replied. "Shit." Pope said. "Okay, man. Yucatan, all right? I'm saying that's the only option. What other option do you have?" JJ asked. "Enough with the Mexico bullshit. Alright? Sarah will bail me out." John B replied. "She did witness the whole thing." Kie said. "Thank you." JB replied. "And she's gonna snitch on her brother?" Pope asked. "Even if she does, like JJ said, no ones gonna believe us. And their not just gonna let a 16-year-old girl bail out a accused murderer." I said. "It's not gonna happen, bro. We've gotta get you off the island." JJ told JB. "The ferry. It's the only way." Pope said. "Yeah, exit stage left while you still can. Before the entire island is on lockdown." JJ told John B. "Guys, just getting down." Kie said as a cop car approached. I grabbed the joint JJ had in his hand and took a couple hits of it. "Sarah's not a Pogue, John B." Pope told him. "Yeah. You can't stay here, man." JJ said. After a while, we decided to drive to the town to see about the ferry. Pope got out as we parked and then came back with a flyer as he stood by the car. I was sitting in the very back now, Kie and Pope has switched positions, and John B was laying with his head against the seat he was in earlier as he put it down and JJ stayed in the same seat. "So, um, bad news. The ferry's closed, and there is this." Pope said and handed Kie the paper. "What is that? What is this?" John B asked as Kie handed JJ the paper. I looked over JJ's shoulder to see the paper was a wanted paper for John B. "Well, John B, uh, this is a good farmer of you." JJ said and held up the paper to him. "Okay, so, the whole islands lookin for John B right now." Pope said. "That's a lot of money." Kie told us, referring to the 25k price on John B. "Congratulations, John B. You're now famous." I told him. "Guys, we gotta get to the HMS. I mean, it's small, no running lights-." John B cut Kie off. "It's at the Château, Kie." He said. "And I wonder if the cops got the entire place staked out. Let me think. Oh, yeah. No. Yeah, they definitely have that place locked down." JJ added. "Yeah, copy that." Kie replied. "Let me think. Just give me a second. Just give me a second. JJ." Pope said and turned around to face him. "What?" JJ asked. "Does your dad still have that boat? The cigarette boat, the Phantom. The one he used to race." Pope asked. "Maybe." JJ replied. "You could get right up the coast, no problem." Pope said. "It's not going to be easy Pope. I don't know where the keys are." JJ replied as Pope started the car. "Well find them." Pope said. "I'm thinking." JJ replied. "Why is nobody moving foreword?" Pope asked. "Can you relax? (Y/N), JJ, how much weed did you give him?" Kie asked us. "Guys. The cars in the poster." John B told us. Pope then honked the horn saying, "Can we move please?" He then kept honking it as Kie yelled at him. We then heard, "Thats the guy, right there." We looked to see a kid with his mom, pointing to John B. "Shit. We gotta snitch." I said. "Pope, turn the car on." JJ told him. A man then banged on the window saying, "He's right there!" We all yelled at Pope to turn the car on. Pope did and then rammed into a car. "Just go!" I told him. Pope drove away wildly. "What are you doing?" Kie asked. "We'll bump out." JJ said. Pope then ran into a mailbox, and me and Pope started laughing. "I'm livin my best life now." He said. "I should be the last one to tell you this, but you are not okay to drive, dude. Stop!" JJ told Pope. Pope slammed onto the breaks in the middle of the road. "John B, get out." Pope told John B. "He's right. We'll draw the cops, you run." I said. "Shit." John B said and opened the door. "I'll get the rig, and I'll meet you in the dump tomorrow okay? Three o'clock. Okay? Three o'clock tomorrow at the dump." JJ told John B as he got out and ran. "Go, go, go, go." I told Pope as I put up the seat John B was laying on and sat down in it. Pope drove off as wildly as he did before. We were now driving around as the sun was going down. Pope and Kie stayed the same, but JJ was now laying against the door, and I was in between his legs like we do in the van. "Pope, you clocked that car, man. Like that was so bad!" JJ said, laughing. Now me, him, and Pope were very high and each had a joint in our hands. "I'm just glad I'm not driving now." Pope replied, making me and JJ laugh. "Pull over." Kie told Pope who turned a hard corner before stopping. "It's not funny. He shouldn't be driving." Kie told me and JJ. "Mama's mad." JJ said, making me laugh. Pope climbed into the seat Kie was in as Kie walked to the other side. "Where are we going?" I asked Kie as she drove. "The last place their gonna look." Kie replied. By the time it was dark, we were at the Cameron's. "Perfectly focused." Pope said as him and Kie got out of the car. "You sure this is a good idea?" JJ asked. "She's the only one who can clear John B." Kie replied. "Last place they'll look because of how stupid it is." I told them as they both climbed over the wall, Pope struggling a bit. I laughed at him as he grunted and he fell over the wall. "Hey, John B will be okay." JJ said and rubbed my arm with his hand that was already around me. "Way to kill the mood." I replied. "I'm serious." JJ told me. After a while I replied, "I know." I sat up and turned around to face him. He looked at me confusingly before I kissed him. His hand moved up to my hair as I moved closer to him. After a while we pulled away. "I love you." He told me as he cupped my face. I smiled. "I love you too." I said before kissing him again. We pulled away when Kie and Pope came back. "Gross." Pope told us. "Oh shut up." I said. "It's disturbing and PDA." Pope told me. "Oh, really?" I asked, nodding. "Really." Pope replied. "Mm. Okay." I said and grabbed JJ's neck, kissing him. "Ah! Stop!" Pope said and threw something at us. I pulled away and grabbed it, realizing it was his hat, and threw it back at him. He then threw it back and I threw it back and so on. "Okay! Enough!" Kie said. I threw it back one more time before stopping. Kie then drove to her restaurant and we slept there.

Redemption
Remnants of ancient history told of a time when great magics were possible, but now most go their entire life without knowledge of its existance. However, things will soon change as the wall holding back the past begins to break and mana again floods the world. But more than just mana was sealed away... ~ Back from a long hiatus, this time with some semblence of a plan and both the time and the desire to write. Writing still needs work to be sure, but I plan to see that chapter number get as high as I can and work out the kinks along the way.

Why was he sent here? And where will he go now? Even he himself does not know. But one thing is for certain: the world will never be the same again. Book 2: Foredoomed to a Rendezvous Synopsis: As war continues to break out between the Five Lands, Gaius finds himself inheriting a legacy of ancient times. With the flames of battle spreading through the South once again, the lost soul throws himself into battle over and over, in an attempt to protect his home and those he holds dear. How will the boy, nearly unrivalled in martial might, fare in a web of conspiracies beyond his ken? Book 3: The Last and the Lost Synopsis: The boy has set himself an unbelievable target in a bid to save someone precious to him. Meanwhile, in the heart of the South, embers of war begin to rekindle. Will it be the death knell of yet another nation millennia old? Book 4: The Unravelling World Synopsis: Time is not on Gaius' side. Everyday life, already disturbed by the flames of mortal war, falls apart entirely as beings of legend once again appear on Orb. Forced to a foreign land to treat his injuries, the boy must confront the outcomes of his actions, directly and indirectly. But the tide is rising. Countless enemies are throwing themselves against the nations of Orb, cleaving a path of blood wherever they go. Gaius has to hurry...or drown with the rest. Book 5: World's End, Divines' Rondo Synopsis: The great gods of Orb have staked their claim on the world itself, killing all in their way. Meanwhile, a new threat stalks the whole of Orb, killing whatever remains of the Constellation Heroes. Against such a chaotic backdrop, a boy continues to protect a semblance of daily life for his loved ones, but will he be successful when the curtains finally open? Book 6: The Frenzied Tide Synopsis: A sword hangs above the Eastern Territories. The Human God, progenitor of all life, the direct cause of the beastfolk genocide, has made his will known to the rulers of the East — make peace with the God of Water, or be destroyed in three months. Gaius, who has left the battlefield to return home, is once again called to fight, to support a do-or-die offensive upon their foe's territory. But in the background, the threads of destiny are beginning to come together. Plots set in motion long ago are coming to fruition... Book 7: Limina of Ruin Synopsis: The chalice has broken. The East is beset with turmoil, as factions turn on each other. The Great Divide, however, brims with a setting radiance, ensuring a final, transient peace. And in the midst of it all, one young boy follows the fettered winds and the unshackled waters, heading to a new land to uphold a promise. For him, the days of fighting will be a distant memory before long...and a daily event in the years to come. Uncovering ancient memories, putting to rest regrets, enjoying the last of a peaceful life...the people of the Five Lands will live to their fullest. Yet, this is but the calm before the storm. Book 8: Power Talks Synopsis: Fate. A curious word to most...and a frightening word to Gaius. Alongside the rulers of the North, Gaius witnesses frightening truths, proof of an inevitable future. Spurred by a myriad chilling revelations and urged by a god's killer, the Mortal Light Dynasty gathers both mortal rulers and divine sovereigns, covering past conflicts with a offer of cooperation of an unprecedented scale. However, can this unity, first of its kind, stand up to time, fate and mortal nature? Or will it burn, along with the Five Lands? Book 9: Homeland Song Synopsis: Gazing out at the Orb of old, Gaius ponders his destiny and the great stakes with it. Time and again, he has led a life of choices, making one after another for the sake of those he cares about. His latest choice, however, carries implications of an immeasurable scale. Charged with the protection of the future, all that awaits him is an eternal solitude... On the other side of the false world, a single star shines, one whose light is meant to protect. Gemini, who has long found a homeland in the form of Ark City, has spent years defending it with friends and family alike. However, an inexorable end is approaching. The day the Great Divide falls looms ever closer. At the crossroads of destiny, when the chains of fate bind him fully, what will the last Constellation choose? And what will his choice mean for the rest of the Five Lands? Book 10: Immortal Indignant Synopsis: As the Five Lands reel from an unexpected revelation, Gaius continues his struggle to accept his immortal destiny of eternal vigilance. Mortal fetters continue to tie him down, with the prospect of breaking them a heart-rending prospect. There is little light for him in the darkness; his emotions seemingly a poisoned apple. For him, the days ahead are one of balancing his emotions; his immortal destiny is antithetical to the aspects that make one mortal. However, he isn't the only immortal indignant at the current state of affairs. Behind the scenes, huge powers push and pull, tussling in an insane game of wrestling sanity. The Five Lands and the great gods prepare in the background, awaiting their time to strike... Book 11: Cause Convergent Synopsis: As Orb reels from an unexpected turn of events, the crumbling of the Great Divide speeds up. With time now at a premium, Gaius travels the world, addressing a particular personage's last will, while ensuring that he leaves no regrets behind. Revisiting the Five Lands with his beloved one last time, he casts his eyes to a new future, a world full of a peace forged by collective resistance. Far away from Gaius, at the very borders of the Southern Continent, soldiers train day and night, awaiting the day the rift between worlds crumble. But the battlefield there isn't just between the Five Lands and the Wildlands... Book 12: Boundary Belligerent Synopsis: The rift between worlds crumble. The moon, the sun and the sky shatter, revealing the vast expanse beyond. The cold light of the stars gaze down upon Orb, illuminating a bloody battlefield at World's End, where gods and mortals wrestle. Immortal troops charge the Five Lands, over and over again, only to be repelled by vast engines of war. For many, the moment of destiny has arrived. The Third Extermination has begun. However, Gaius gazes not at the present, but at the future beyond. What does he see there? And what will he do? Book 13: Destiny Divergent Synopsis: Bells ring, and destiny veers. Mortal miracles, having pierced a divine destiny, now turn their light of annihilation upon the legendary land of dangers and dark myth. A single being who should have slept forever reawakens, carrying out a inherited duty to protect. Under a dome of absolute law, the hulks that darken the skies are grounded, forcing the Five Lands to move ahead on foot. Hidden differences erupt, comrades turn upon comrades, and the alliance begins to crumble. What should have been a happy ending begins to fall apart. Watching from high above, the Abyss Sovereign laments his weakness, cursing the new destiny laid upon the world. And yet, he will never give up. Book 14: Abyss Ascendent Synopsis: As a future of never-ending conflict draws closer, Gaius stands at the centre of Orb, his will tempered and set. What the Wildlands has ceased to be, he will inherit. Divine Kingdoms and mortal nations clamour for peace to prepare for greater wars, but Gaius will no longer stand for that. For the sake of his dream, the Five Lands — and now, the Wildlands — must be unified against a common enemy. Gaius himself. Raising the flag of rebellion against mortal nature and destiny, the Abyss Sovereign commences a festival of creation for his new world, a paradise unimaginable to both mortal and divine minds. With his intentions made known now, there is no going back. He will succeed. Or die trying. Book 15: Terminus Transcendent Synopsis: ???
