《Cupid's Potion》Chapter 5: Coffee jelly

We're all now heading towards the Ramen Pastry Cafe, the name of the place is weird but as long as they have food I'm in.
I could tell Saiki was in a much better mood once he heard that there will be coffee jelly.
Well I guess he loves the dessert, it's kind of amusing how easily convinced he was by a simple dessert.
Coming out of my thoughts I noticed we would be arriving to the cafe in just another minute.
Once we arrived at the small cafe I felt a sudden feeling of nostalgia. I shrug the feeling off but the thought of visiting this cafe before was still in the back of my head.
"Welcome to ramen pastry cafe!" A man greeted while he was cleaning the counter with a rag.
I recognized the man, it was Francisco, the man who almost ran me over earlier today.
He's wearing a blue apron and a hair net for his hair and beard.
What a coincidence.
Francisco looks up and seems to be surprised to see me too, but he shook it off and places a smile on his face.
The group and I walk over to the counter to place our orders.
"Welcome to the Ramen Pastry Cafe what would you guys like today?" He smiles happily while awaiting our orders.
All of us had our turn to order our desired treat but when it came to Saiki he ordered like the rest of us but I noticed his lips didn't move again.
I tried hiding my confused face but I think I have a hunch on why his lips never move. Though it will be hard to prove if I'm right or not.
You can't possibly be a psychic, or are you?
I snap back to reality once I heard Francisco's booming voice.

"You guys don't have to worry about paying, it's on the house. I owe madame y/n here for almost hitting her with my car today in the morning." Francisco sheepishly mentions while rubbing the back of his neck apologetically.
"What?!" Kaido looks a bit concerned and starts rambling about being safer
while Nendou just stood there trying to figure out what to order, not paying any mind to what we're saying.
And Saiki, well he just took his coffee jelly and took off to the booth by the window. I expected more of a concern reaction from him but he didn't seem to care.
Sighing softly at the lack of reaction I regain my posture, I then look up at Francisco to see him with a big smile plastered on his face.
"Great thanks Francisco!" I give him a smile back and left to join the other guys.
I hope the guy named Saiki and Y/n don't notice what I've placed in their desserts. It would be terribly horrible if they did, if she knew who I was it would make everything even more worse. Although now that I've finally found her it means that are coming back. All that's left to do is figure out how I can keep her safe for the time being.
In the meantime I might as well help these two love birds. After all it is my job.
I stifle a giggle and go back to making my desserts.
Heading towards the booth I let out an annoyed sigh but soon realize that I can finally eat my well deserved treat.
Though for some reason something felt a bit, off? This cafe has never been here before and I've always pass by in this area.
I shrug off the weird feeling tugging at the back of my brain and ignore it.

Besides this cafe must have open recently, yea that's it. Either way they serve coffee jelly, and I'm not complaining.
I head towards the booth and sat next to Kaido and Saiki sat in front of me.
I look around to see where Nendou is and I spot him still at the counter trying to choose an item while Francisco helplessly tried to help him pick one.
I giggle softly, finding the scene quite amusing.
"Hey y/n, was what Francisco saying true? That you were almost hit by a car on your first day of school!" He exclaimed quite loudly while laying his hands on your shoulders and shaking them slightly.
"Yea it's true, but I'm glad I wasn't hit by his car. Because if I did I wouldn't have met you guys!" I exclaimed happily trying to calm the precious weirdo named Kaidou.
He really cares about me doesn't he, I'm happy I met him and Nendou. I'm also happy I met Saiki too even if he's been a complete jerk for all the time I've met him.
"Ok let's eat up guys!" I cheer out loud once Nendo finally came to the booth we're sitting in.
All of them dig into their item they ordered and I took a taste of mine as well. I was caught off guard with the slight tangy flavor, but it added a nice touch to the dessert.
I look up to see that the guys were enjoying theirs too, but then I awkwardly caught Saiki's gaze.
At first I didn't really mind the awkward gaze but for some reason my cheeks heated up. Quickly, I look back down at my dessert.
I went to take another bite but I notice a weird substance in my dessert, it was a pinkish color. I tried it with my spoon and it didn't taste bad.
I ate the whole thing trying to forget the cute image of Saiki from my head.
As I ate my coffee jelly I look up for a bit and met eyes with y/n.
For some unknown reason the top of my cheeks heat up at the sight of her beautiful eyes.
"Am I catching a cold or something?"
I look away from y/n after she looked away from me and I spot a pink substance coming from the coffee jelly.
Though I just passed it as a colorful topping to the dessert.
Not to long later I felt a pang coming from my heart, I clutched my hand over my heart trying to get rid of this feeling.
I look up and realized y/n was trying to do the same though she looks like she's in more pain.
But as quickly as the pain came it quickly diminished as well.
I looked towards the empty container that once held my coffee jelly. I didn't know what could have caused this but I decided to blame the one and only thing.
It was the damn coffee jelly's fault.
