A couple of days passed by when Mahir constantly tried talking to Bela and clear out things with her but as decided Bela avoided him completely trying to forgot him and his memories.

She's currently sitting in her cabin in her lunch hour not in a mood to eat anything. Just then someone barks in the room without knocking and ofcourse she knows it's only Vish who does that.

"I have something to talk to you", Vish said glaring at her

Bela tried to keep a normal face and looked at her acting as if nothing happened.

"What is it babes?", Bela asked smiling

"First of all, stop faking it Bela.. you atleast don't have to act happy infront of me", Vish warned

Bela looked at her shocked thinking if Vish knows what happened.

"Vish", Bela whispered

"I have one thing to share and one thing you clear with you.. and the first one, I proposed Yuvi", Vish said blankly

"Oh my god, you finally did it.. what did he say? Yes ofcourse right?", Bela went hugging being happy for her bestie

"He said yes and asked if we can marry soon", Vish informed

"Ofcourse yes, so when are you getting married?", Bela asked excited

"After his elder brother gets married", Vish said observing her expressions

"Oh.. what?", Bela asked realising what she said

"Yeah, after Mahir gets married", Vish said

"Yuvi said such?", Bela asked to which Vish nodded

Bela got lost in thinking, she wondered why Mahir has to get married again when he's already married to Anu as per what Yuvi and Kuhu told the other day.

"Mahir is divorced Bela", Vish spit it out

"What?", Bela asked shocked

"Yes, that girl Anu.. she was Ananaya Mahir Sehgal, not anymore Bela.. she's just Ananya Mittal now.. it's been two years Mahir and Anu got divorced", Vish informed

"How do you know that?", Bela asked still not able to believe her ears

"I told her Bela.. and it's your turn to hear us out", said Yuvi who came along with Kuhu

Bela looked at all of them confused while Yuvi asked her to sit.. everyone settled in her cabin and Bela was waiting for Yuvi to speak..

"Anu and Bhai where in the same batch during there MBA and during there final year he proposed Anu who happily accepted having mutual feelings", Yuvi said

Bela felt her heart paining knowing that Mahir already had someone in his heart, whom he probably loved a lot in all these years.

"After an year of there graduation they got married with everyone's consent, we where more than happy when Bhai said he's in love coz he being always nerdy and reserved with his close ones is now dating someone is something surprising for all of us!

Nevertheless Anu was a wonderful person, she had become our elder sister than a sister-in-law and we where all extremely happy with her being a part of our family", Yuvi continued

"They where a happy family.. and here I was trying to make Mahir love me back when he already gave his heart to someone else.. how stupid of me", Bela thought blinking her eyes rapidly stopping her tears

"They where happy Bela, like any other happy couple.. but I don't know what happened that one day Anu and Bhai had an argument when she said that she doesn't feel the same between them..

Bhai couldn't understand what she was trying to tell, he couldn't bear the fact that Anu wasn't loving him like before.. mom tried to convince Anu saying it's common in any relationship to feel that way, and it's okay to adjust at times to be with your loved ones..

But that time Anu was adamant to part ways with Bhai, all she said was she wasn't getting the same vibes like before, wasn't feeling the love and bond like before.. she said there relationship isn't the same like when they where dating or when they recently got married..

Her parents also tried to change her mind, but she always being a little pampered and stubborn one wasn't ready to listen to anyone and got ahead with the divorce proceedings.

Bhai wasn't ready to let her go, he loved her.. she was her first love afterall and letting her go was something which was breaking him from inside but he being he, signed the divorce papers only because his love, Anu asked for it", Yuvi said thinking of all those days again

Bela looked dumbfound at this information, she couldn't help but think Anu was a dumb person to leave Mahir only for this lame reason which she thought..

Any relationship will not be the same all the while, but that doesn't mean you leave the person and go.. we should rather try to mend and make it beautiful like ever and she felt Anu did a huge mistake by divorcing him.

"That's wasn't the end though, Bhai started to isolate himself from everyone.. he felt he wasn't a perfect husband, he started to think that it's because of his failure that Anu left him..

Mom tried to get him married again believing someone can make him smile again, laugh again, live his life like before again.. but Mahir Bhai always denied saying he doesn't want to spoil anyone's life by being a bad husband", Yuvi sniffed

"Until you came into his life Bela", Yuvi whispered looking up

Bela looked up only to find Yuvi in tears, she herself was controlling her tears and emotions from not showing to them but seeing him tearing for his brother she could no longer hold back and a lone tear left her eye.

"Your presence, your words.. you started to change him Bela, it's only after you came I saw him smile, he joined us for dinners, he started coming home early, he's spending time with all of us.. it's only after you had come into his life making it colourful like before..

I don't know what happened between you two, but I'm sure he must have tried his best to keep you away.. to not let you enter his heart but it was too late coz he already fell hard for you Bela..

He loves you, he really loves you with all his heart Bela.. he had took a lot of time to move on from Anu, I don't know if he was still loving her but I'm pretty sure now it's just you filled all over his heart", Yuvi said looking at her

"I'm sorry on behalf of him if he ever behaved like a jerk, but please don't leave him Bela di.. he needs you in his life", Kuhu pleaded

Bela pressed her lips controlling her sobs and just then someone knocked on the door. She quickly wiped off her tears when a nurse entered inside.

"Mam, your lunch hours are over.. and there are some patients waiting for you, should I send them in?", Asked the nurse

"Send them in five minutes", Bela said and the nurse nodded leaving from there

"I'll talk to you guys later.. I have to look after the patients now", Bela said

"Don't take any decisions in haste Bela.. you should talk to Mahir first", Vish said before all they left the cabin

Bela burst out crying thinking of Mahir, she couldn't imagine what Mahir must have gone through.

She was cursing her life when Mahir wasn't ready to accept her, but she couldn't even think of Mahir's condition when his love, his wife just left him like that.

She composed herself washing her face and got back with her patients.

Hours later Bela packed her things ready to leave to her house, she went towards her car but stopped finding Mahir there as if waiting for her.

Mahir wasn't at peace ever since he had argued with Bela before she left his house, he wanted to apologise and clear out things with her but couldn't get a chance so straight away came to her hospital knowing her timings.

Seeing Bela, he came towards her while Bela was still shocked not expecting him there.

"Bela, just five minutes please", Mahir requested

"I'm sorry Mahir", Bela said genuinely

"Sorry? For what?", Mahir asked confused

"For troubling you so far Mahir.. I never realised I was triggering your emotions by doing all that, I was just trying to.. trying to build a relationship with you not wanting to call our marriage a mistake but I.. I was probably so wrong all this while", Bela said

Mahir stood there rooted still trying to grasp her words.

"I shouldn't have even tried that Mahir, you where right when you said I should forget that we even got married.. I'm so sorry for troubling and irritating you all these days, I'll never trouble you further Mahir.. I'm sorry", Bela whispered

"Bela, what are you even speaking.. I'm really sorry for everything I said that day, I truly din't mean it Bela", Mahir said scared of her words

"Not for what you said that day Mahir.. I was honestly wrong for trying to be close to you, I was so wrong.. I'm just sorry Mahir, now even I'm saying.. let's just forget we even got married, I'm sorry", Bela said

She din't wanted to do anything which Mahir doesn't want, how much ever Yuvi or Kuhu said that Mahir feels the same and that he loves her.. she didn't wanted to listen to anyone nor assume any and take a step.. if Mahir wants her, wants there relationship she's more than happy to give herself to him.. but if Mahir isn't gonna voice out about it, she decided to stay away from him like he always asked for.

She felt as if she was intruding his personal space, she have seen Vish's situation after her parents divorce.. she knows divorce isn't easy at all and when it's only coz your partner wanted it, it hurts more.

She wanted Mahir to decide himself of what he wants in life.. if he chooses her then she wouldn't think a second before going to him, but she wants to know from him.. not from his siblings, not from his parents.

"You will forget our marriage?", Mahir whispered

"I don't want to, but if you don't want it.. then I don't see a point sticking to the same thing", Bela said not meeting his eyes

"Are you angry on me Bela?", Mahir asked

"No Mahir, I'm not and I was never.. I'm just saying what you have been saying for so long, you din't wanted our marriage, you din't wanted me.. I'm just accepting it now", Bela said looking up

Mahir din't know what to speak further, he came to apologise but din't expect the tables to turn this way.

"I should leave Mahir", Bela said looking down

Mahir just moved aside while Bela got into her car going away while Mahir stood there seeing her go.. he felt as if she left him, completely.

He loves her, he wants her in his life forever, but at the same time he doesn't want her near him fearing that may be like Anu felt, even Bela would feel such and he din't wanted to hurt Bela that way.

At this point, he himself couldn't understand what's going on in his life.. he want her, he doesn't want her.. he isn't able to move on from his divorce but all he knew was Bela was his peace, she is his happiness, she is his love!

The same night, Bela was sleeping in her room when she received a call. She rubbed her eyes and seeing it's from Yuvi she got worried as it's already half past twelve in the night.

"Hello Yuvi", Bela spoke

"Bela, is Bhai with you by any chance?", Yuvi asked tensed

"Mahir isn't here Yuvi, what's wrong.. what happened to him?", Bela asked

"I don't know Bela, Bhai haven't come home today.. I tried reaching him out but his phone is coming switched off and when I called Anu about it.. she said Mahir was coming to meet you", Yuvi informed

"He came to my hospital while I was leaving Yuvi, and after that I haven't seen him", Bela said equally worried for him

"Okay I'm already looking for him, if you see him anywhere call me immediately Bela", Yuvi said

"Yeah, and please inform me when you find him Yuvi", Bela said

Yuvi hummed and cut the call while Bela wasn't able to stay back after knowing that Mahir is still not home.

Deciding to search for him herself, she changed her dress and took her car without Raghav's notice and tried to look around guessing the possible places Mahir must have been.

On the way, she found someone sitting to a corner staring at the sky..

She quickly got down the car and moved towards the person only to realise it's Mahir.

She looked around and realised it's the same place where Bela once came with Mahir on a bike ride for an icecream where they had there first kiss.. tears brimmed in her eyes thinking of there first kiss and looked at Mahir who was holding an alcohol bottle.

Bela quickly sent the location to Yuvi and took baby steps towards Mahir snatching the bottle from his hand.

"Bela", Mahir whispered identifying her

"You are my Bela only right?", Mahir asked observing her carefully with his blurry vision

"That person said I would forget you if I drink this, but how come you are right infront of my eyes?", Mahir asked innocently

He tried rubbing his eyes and again looked at Bela who was already looking at him with tears.

"You are still here?", Mahir said more like a question

"We need to go home Mahir, come", Bela said trying to make him stand

"I don't wanna come home Bela.. it reminds me of it", Mahir said

"Of what?", Bela asked curiously

"Of your memories, of our moments on diwali.. of your presence around that house, I don't wanna come home", Mahir whispered

Bela blinked back her tears and made him stand on his feet and kept his arm around her shoulder trying to balance him.

"I won't come home Bela", Mahir said

"Please Mahir, let's go home and talk", Bela requested

Mahir looked at Bela while Bela also seems to be lost in his innocent eyes which was pleading her not to leave.

She suppressed her sobs and made him walk and just then she saw Yuvi came rushing towards Mahir and held him from the other side balancing his weight.

"Yuvi, I'm still not able to forgot my Bela.. this drink just din't work", Mahir mumbled complaining and Yuvi understood what must have happened

Yuvi and Bela helped Mahir to sit in the car while Mahir held Bela's hand.

"Don't go Bela", Mahir whispered

"You need rest Mahir", Bela said softly taking her hand back

"Take him home Yuvi, and stay with him for tonight.. I'll call you in the morning", Bela said

Yuvi nodded and looked at Anu who also came with him.

"You go Yuvi, I'll go home later", Anu said looking at Bela and Yuvi understanding left the place with Mahir

That's when Bela realised she's Anu, Mahir's ex wife and something felt very awkward to her standing along with her.

"Should I drop you somewhere?", Bela asked being polite

"We need to talk Bela", Anu said
