《Hidden》Chapter 44

"Something I need to know?" Emma questioned. The illusionist nodded, patting a spot next to her, offering Emma a seat.
The brunette took the invitation but moved to the opposite side of Mira, keeping a careful eye on the elite. The older woman waved her hand over her dark oak coffee table, small snacks appearing on the table top. Mira helped herself to some of the crackers and cream, Emma hesitantly taking one for herself.
"You were invited here because we said that Your father had died in action 10 years ago, correct?" Mira asked, her voice a strained monotone. Emma nodded, making sure she was sitting up, being more 'lady like'.
"That's correct, you sent me a messenger dragon the day you sent messenger dragons to the competitor's of this year's trials." Mira nodded, no doubt knowing this already. Emma stuck one of the crackers in her mouth, the cream melting in her mouth, soothing her tense muscles.
"Well, not all of us were informed about this plan. Our strongest, the fire elite, decided it would be a good idea to try and see the efects of a grey eyes with a geo crystal." Mira explained. The woman took out her own geo crystal, the precious gem turning a light purple from absorbing the elites magic.
"He wants to see if you can absorb magic like the geo crystals, that way he can make moving bombs, moving magic vessels of his own. He wants to you and the other few people and turn you into weapons Emma." Mira's voice was no longer monotone, instead her voice held malice, so much of it, the feeling practically poured out of her.
She took deep breaths trying to calm herself, her hand crushing the light purple gem into small shattered pieces of sharp glass. The magic flew into the air, slowly disappearing. Emma looked at Mira as if she was mad. Wasting magic like that could cost many their position in the magic world.

"Emma, he wants to use you and the very few other rare people alike to take over the neighboring countries. He wants to use dragons and mages in ways we never would have dreamed of. Me and a few other elites would be disagree with his idea, but we can't speak against him, or we are drained." The older woman was settling down now, her anger now replaced with a bit of saddness.
"Mira, are you ok?" Emma asked gently. The purple haired woman shook her head, her eyes begging Emma for an explanation.
"Emma, are you ok? You're practically going to be a geo weapon, and you're not over reacting? So many's lives are in danger, and your asking me if I'm ok?" Mira was flailing her arms, scars that lined her skin showing in the light of the room.
"Emma, I need you to avoid the fire elite as best you can, along with his personal dog the earth elite. Although our earth elite is weak in our standards, he is an ass-kisser and will follow orders perfectly." Mira sighed, rubbing her temples. Emma stared at Mira with confusion.
Grey eyes were the absence of magic, unable to take in magic at all, so why would a fire master, want to know how to make human bombs when he could just make metal ones?
And why was she on his list? Why not invite the other grey-eyes?
"But what about the others? Why didn't he invite them Mira?" Emma quietly begged. Mira's eyes softened, shaking her head slowly
"You might be the last. The fire elite has already tried to claim about 20 other grey eyes, and has only managed to get 19. You might be the only one left." She said. Emma sat on the purple couch, no words coming out of her mouth.

"Emma I'm sorry, I would have tried to stop him but he's to strong for us, and if we're caught by him or his dog, then we'll be stripped." She tried to reach for Emma, but the girl flinched back.
"Why do you help me then?" Emma asked coldly. Mira's eyes darkened, her face saddening. She had clearly fine through more mental pain then most should, and the scars on her arms were a clear message she wanted to escape the world.
Although it's not like the world would let her do easily.
Mira's eyes shone a bright purple, power radiating off her body. The furniture began to disappear, leaving just the room, but not for long.
The walls began to tear apart, the roof flying away like in a terrible storm. The floor crackled away, Emma scampering to find a safe place. She was too late, and she fell through the floor.
It wasn't a long fall, and Emma thankfully landed on some grass. Shocked at the sudden change of surroundings, her mind went into panic mode. Had Mira teleported her away from the northern boarder? Leaving her for the creatures from earlier?
"I was only 19 when they began the experiments on us few elites." Mira's voice came from nowhere and everywhere, giving Emma the chiils. Houses and campfires scattered the open land, trees sprouting front he ground into large, twisted trees.
People stepped out of their homes, all passing through Emma if they came in contact. Then, a teenaged girl with light purple hair came and sat beside Emma, a purple plum tree sprouting right beside them, leaning over the two to give some protection from the shade.
"They only had the three oridginal elites at the beggining, fire, water, and Earth. Those three were close friends when they were kids themselves, and they realized that they needed to find powerful ways to make themselves stronger in order to remain in charge of the country."
A breeze flowed through the town, leaves from the season changing colours. The warm colours of Autumn flew through the air, creating a beautiful picture inside both girls minds.
"They needed to make sure they're methods worked, so they chose me and many others to become unwilling elites."
The nice breeze become too warm to just be a normal breeze, black leaves crumpled from heat flew through the air, and a large red dragon flew through the town. A man dropped off the dragon as it's ruby hide flew away, landing not to far away from the town.
The man looked around until his head leaned over to look at Emma. The elite wasn't as covered as he was now, he wore a fancy tuxedo under a red cape encrusted with only small red spirit gems. He wore a red fedora, but the area where his eyes belonged still were hidden by shadows from the hat.
His eyes shone red, Emma getting a glimpse from her own memory of the creatures from the night before.
A lady screamed when she saw the man, and the town was lit aflame.

Maroon Odyssey: Story of the survivors of a plane crash in a magical world
This is the story of a myriad group of characters who had the misfortune of being passengers on a plane that crashed in the remote mountains of a fantasy world. They now have to survive the harsh environment; find civilisation and rebuild their lives in the best way possible. A marine rifleman, a competition archer, a juvenile delinquent, an aspiring musician and a physics student with a love of the arcane are among the many individuals making their way in a new world of adventure. The story is heavily inspired by dnd style fantasy but it isn't a true litrpg. There are progression fantasy elements where characters grow in power of time. But they can't see their character sheets or assign points to attributes or classes. The story is survival focused. All the characters will struggle to grow and none will become OP. But their different backgrounds will enable them to gain a role in life that will allow them to thrive within reasonable limits.
