Why y'all ship David and Peter?
┗━━━━━━༻❁༺━━━━━━┛
The dark blue dragon let out a roar.
David stumbled on his bottom as he stared at the pissed Dragon, it's blue eyes shining as the glowing crystals shone brighter then before.
'It must be the mother' David thought.
Indeed the Dragon was, because once it roared the little Dragon hiding behind the crystal ran to the larger one. Hiding behind its mother's leg, it let out a small squeak of its own.
David sat on the cold ground, amazed as he watched the dragons. The mother Dragon took a few steps back and circled in a spot, watching David the entire time. As she layed down, A bunch of other baby dragons came out frombehing the crystals and joined its mother, but the one David saw was the one he couldn't stop staring at.
Unlike its siblings, she had feathers for wings and was light blue instead of dark blue. It layed on top of it's mother's head, eyeing David curiously.
David sat there, not knowing what to do. He couldn't go back the way he came, for the mother Dragon was blocking his path, but if he continued to go deeper in the cave, there might be a way out.
He began to slowly shuffle backwards, but the mother Dragon let out a warning growl and shifted its body. David frozen fear and sat there.
'guess I'm stuck here then.'
He lost track of time, but he was more worried about what his mother would do to him if he didn't get back home. Surley she would beat him again just like last week ,or maybe not feed him for a day. Either way he didn't feel like going back anytime soon, so he sat there, and unknowingly passed out, at some point in time.

When he awoke, the baby dragons were surrounding him and the mother dragon was gone. He slowly sat up, careful not to spook the baby dragons. When he did sit up, the dragons bounced around and tried to get him to play.
He happily obliged and chased after the small creatures.
He personally targeted the baby blue dragon. Its feathers seemed to be extremely soft as they bounced on the Dragon's back. Quickly gaining on the creature, he touched the top of it's tail and a blinding light shone from the contact.
°°°
A loud roar burst through the sky, thunder shook the window of the room as rain began to fall. David pushed away his thoughts and looked at his clock, reading the two hands to reveal it was 4 A.M.
He wondered what would have happened if he hadn't touched his Dragon then. Would he be here? Would he have met Peter? No matter what could have happened, he was thankful that he chose the path he was on now.
Closing his spell book, David made a ball of water appear above his outstretched hand. He furrowed his brows as he concentrated on the next part of the spell casting.
The ball of water began to freeze from the inside, the ice slowly expanding and working its was to the surface of the water.
Once complete, David had an ice ball in his hands, ready to be used.
His thoughts led back to Emma a few days ago. The though of her having to deal with being bullied enraged him. He knew what was happening to her was wrong, but what could be do?
Without noticing it, spikes formed on the ball and froze. David sat in his pal chair, shocked. Had he done that?
Emotions were a strong part in magic casting, the stronger the emotion, the more powerful the result.

David smiled and melted the spiky ice ball, turning it back into water. He put the remainder of the life giving liquid in a glass and set it aside for Peter.
The small peeps of a messenger Dragon rung outside.
David ran to open his window, and flying through the window was a small white and black spotted Dragon. It collided with a walk and sent papers flying everywhere.
"Spot! Watch were you're going, you almost hurt yourself." David said, concerned and wondering if it's head was alright.
The little Dragon shook some dust off itself and began to small about the room, taking in diffrent scents of the room. It paused at a bag and immediately dug into it, not caring that David was watching.
It pulled out a ham sandwich that Peter had bagged up from the cafeteria that day. It ripped open the bag and began to eat.
"Spot, what message did you bring me today?" David asked quietly, careful not to wake up Peter.
The small Dragon seemed to remember why it was there in the first place and gobbled up the sandwich, leaving no crumbs left. It Sat in front of David, a good distance away before proceeding, it's eyes looked at the male with anticipation, wagging its long tail across the ground.
Spot's pink eyes shone and an illusion of one of the 9 elite magicians was projected in front of the blue-haired male. Almost seemingly looking into David's bright blue eyes, the member began to spoke.
"Member of the water and healing factor, you have been chosen by the water elite to compete in the academy trials this spring." He began. David stood there dumbfounded.
"You will represent one of the four water users that will attend the spring trials, fighting until you use the last bit of your will to prove yourself. Remember, only one of the four water users that have been chosen can be the one to fight in the elemental finals."
"We hope to see you there. Details will be provided from your academy's headmasters." The hologram clip ended and the black and white dragons sat on the ground, waiting for David to move out of his shock.
He stood there, frozen, never had he been called to an official trial, or any kind of meeting. This was just out so of the blue.
David turned to look at his snoring friend. Even he was more capable of fighting in a trial, but David? He was just a nerdy book worm.
The little messenger Dragon grew inpatient and jumped into David, knocking him to the ground. He landed with a thud as he held the small Dragon.
"Spot! He careful." David whispered. The Dragon curled up into his arms while the boy tried and get him off.
Letting out a sigh of defeat, David took the Dragon to his clothes drawer and set the small Dragon inside.
'Safe and soimd' His mind echoed. Taking one last glance at the clock, Daivd decided to fit in at least a few hours of sleep, so he did just so, falling asleep in his blue bed, dreaming about the future trials.

Of Gods and Dungeons
March 16, 2021 - Hiatus note: I will come back to this story! I'm really struggling with it, though. It's been a number of years and I kind of forgot what the original outline was. I still remember the main path, but not any of the details, because I stupidly didn't write an outline. Progress is being made. I'd like a very decent sized buffer before I start posting again. Don't want to get hopes up only to immediately disappoint! ----- Amy Barnes, an aspiring chemical researcher, finds herself dying from cancer. One of her most desperate prayers is answered in a way that she'd never dreamed possible, and she finds herself living a new life as a dungeon. Warning: Violence, morbidity Cover: Taken from here, courtesy of www.pexels.com by photographer @tookapic. Author's Note: I've read some dungeon core stories on here, and they've tickled my fancy. I've thought up a whole story, start to finish, and thought it'd be a blast to put it into words. Other than the violent and morbid aspects, this story is suitable for children. Aside from the vocabulary, that is. I will avoid the temptation to have any cursing, sexuality, or gore. Excessive gore, I suppose - it is a dungeon story, after all. I’ll do a little research from time to time, but this story will not have a great deal of rigor. I’ve made Amy’s knowledge comparable to my own for that reason. There’s a few things she knows more about than I do, and a few things that she knows less about. Unlike me, she doesn’t have access to Google - it’s a non issue for her to be more knowledgeable than me, on occasion :P This story does not use the same magic system that I’ve used in either Sorcery in Boston or A Summoner’s Confession. This one is mostly intention based, and designed to be easier access for people who are more used to the idea of, “It’s magic, therefore it works” kind of thinking. Do note that Amy is, in most senses of the term, overpowered. This goes along with the usual dungeon core stories. She’s not more powerful than other dungeons per se, but she does have knowledge and intelligence that puts them to shame. I thought about doing this in a LitRPG style, but systems take balance, and I wanted this to be pure fun to write. This story was inspired from a few sources. Despite the title, it wasn’t really inspired by Of Mice and Men, though some of the themes match. Rather, I’ve taken inspiration from a few dungeon core novels on Royal Road Legends for the main idea. Many conventions of dungeon core stories have been perverted from the genre, however. I’ve taken my usual science-loving self to town to play around with the powers, and I can only hope you have half as much fun reading this as I have had writing it.
