Emma ran through the crowds of people in a race to the cafeteria. The room was already littered with people and scattered and food but that didn't stop her grey eyes from seeing a familiar pair of blonde and blue hair sitting opposite from a silver girls head.
With a smile plastered on her face, Emma walked behind the two boys and caught Jasmine's attention. Her jaw dropped and her spoon fell on the floor for her soup. The two boys noticed her sudden change of expresson and Peter asked her what was wrong.
Jasmine just pointed towards Emma and Peter turned around cautiously first. His orange eyes had become more red last time she had seen them and his hair was just freshly bleached.
Peter's eyes widened and he turned around and got himself a glass of water.
Then he poured the water on himself.
He turned around again, still silent at he inspected her up and down. He poked David on the arm constantly but got no response. David was already staring in awe.
His blue eyes brightened and a wide smile crept on his face as he looked at his friend.
"Emma!" He hugged the brunette, arms wrapping around her shoulders and almost bringing them both stumbling to the ground, luckly they were able to keep balance.
"Jeeze you guys all make it look like I was dead or something." Emma laughed. David let go of her and she sat down next to Jasmine, sitting opposite of the two exited boys.
"The doctors wouldn't allow us to see you! They said they had enough to deal with without anymore distractions." Peter said, David nodded in agreement.
"You know what else is strange, the doctors said that those snowballs that were thrown at me were actually frozen before they hit me."

"So that's why you were unconcious. They must have caused a concussion or something like that." Peter said, looking straight into Emma's grey eyes. The brunette nodded and sat down beside Jasmine, taking out some Caesar salad from the blue orb.
They all silently sat and are there food. No one dared to interrupt the peacful silence that had settled between them.
The bell rang, and the four split up for their classes. David was itching to ask Emma what she had sao earlier, but decided to give her some rest.
Emma however, had been itching to talk about what had happened while she was unconcious. Winter was halfway over and Christmas was right around the corner.
Classes want by with pages of Emma's notebook being stuffed with Dragon drawings. She payed no attention to the lectures the teachers have and didn't go to training at gym. Her mind was to fogged up with thoughts.
It was when her foot stepped into the snow when she realized what she was doing. The fresh white snow covered the entire yard with a beautiful scene.
Each individual flake of snow reflected the sun's setting light into a rainbow of coulours that danced across the ground.
The cold was comforting to the girl as she looked at the trees covered with ice. Hanging down the branched were icicles that shone, making the whole place like a winter wonderland.
The sounds of horses trudging through the snow snapped Emma out of her thoughts, but the once peaceful feeling was once again replaced with an uneasiness.
Walking over the the horse's, the brunette realized They were trudging a sleigh full of fire wood to the school.
"Heya young lady, watch'ya doing out here all by y'erself?" The man asked with a grin. His hands fumbled with the reigns of the horse as he looked at Emma from head to toe.

Suddenly becoming self-conscious, she squirmed under the made stare as his thirsty eyes drank up the sight of a young girl. Setting the reigns down, he got off the sled and approached Emma.
"J-just looking around, I thought it would be a nice day to take a walk." She shuddered, not knowing whether it came from the man of the cold.
"Well why don't we both take a look in the woods, I saw a nice frozen lake we could go to." The man stepped closer as Emma stepped back. Her instincts we're choosing a fight or flight choice.
She continued to step back until she bumped into someone else. She quickly spun around and looked up at the owner of the face.
David stood tall and firm and he sent a cold hard glare to the now stopped man. The blue haired-male set his hand and Emma's shoulder and stepped in front of her in a protective way.
"Don't you have to deliver that soon? I'm pretty sure your boss will be mad that your late." David said. The man scoffed and argued.
"Who says I'm late?"
David used a quick and unoticable flick of his hand and a ball of snow hit one to get horses rear, sending them the run at full speed forward, towards the forest.
"Hey! Come back!" The man yelled. He ran after his horses and was soon engulfed by the trees of the forest.
David turned around to look at a laughing Emma. He joined in and the mix of laughter seemed to fill the empty feilf with joy.
"Thanks for that, if it weren't for you, I would have been stuck in who knows what." Emma said. David ruffles her hair, earning a small squeak from her.
"Just be careful next time. Don't need you to be in trouble all the time." He smiled. "Come on, let's go back, my hands are cold."
Emma and David walked side-by-side back to the academy doors, where they were greeted by the scent of burning pine from the multiple fireplaces throughout the school.
Emma soon found Jasmine and returned to the dorm with her. Emma waved Jasmine a good night good bye and went back to her own room.
Ashely was there, but nether of them said anything to each other. Emma washer her face and prepared for bead as Ashley read a book for her class.
Crawling under her covers, Emma said good night the Ashley and got a good night back from her roommate.
Falling asleep to the silence of winter, Emma once again fell to the dreams that awaited her.

Madness Led by the Hands
‘Great, no… splendid. It was for naught.’ ‘Naught? Depends. If your desire is to send an army of killers our family’s way, yes indeed. If it’s plain survival you seek, then no.’ ‘They don’t coexist?’ ‘What… don’t tell me you’re still all groggy from the fall. Perhaps in novels, but real life is much tougher–––many more times a drag than anyone can possibly imagine. If dusty history is not a reliable teacher for you, then the pandemic surely took that place. Now we shall survive. And live a good life.’ ‘Ohh… pretty much everything here has something against this little weird wish of ours. Might you consider?’ ‘Then pretty much everything here is a goner.’ ‘Hm, I don’t like the sound of that. Too much trouble, you see. I’d prefer laying low somewhere safe.’ ‘…nobody told you it’s mutually exclusive, no–––or did you forget about that too?’ ‘Fine, then I wish my future enemies all the best.’ ‘They are undeserving of your pity.’ ‘Of course not. That unlucky bunch won’t ever comprehend the reason behind their demise. Just let me smoke in peace and offer my condolence in advance.’ ‘Idem, let me study alchemy, unobstructed by all, if possible. This also includes you. By the way, are you sure you smoke to offer condolences? It seems like an excuse to me.’ ‘I-it is none. Plain truth, you see?’ ‘Seriously, why did I even ask...?’
