A month has passed since the southern academy was attacked, and Emma, David and Peter had became close friends as the days went on. But the boys hasn't seen their dragons in over a month, making them anxious. That day, Emma had a surprise for them. Sitting in a hallway and eating lunch with her friends was fun and all, but Peter was growing a bit too loud with his inappropriate jokes.
"Let's go to the dragon stables." Emma wisper-yelled to the two males. The two boys were filled with excitement as they followed Emma upstairs, a smile plastered on their faces. They sped up as they heard their dragons roar from up the stairs, Peter taking the lead.
"Hurry up you guys!" David yelled. Once they reached the top, Peter burst through the door and dashed through the stables, David and Emma closely following behind. Soon enough, David and Emma lost sight of Peter in the maze of stables.
"Peter? Where did ya go?" David called out, his only answer was a dragon roar from another part of the stables.
"If you are looking for your freind, he's in the hallway on the right, inside stable 667." a dragon spoke in Emma's mind. She sent a quick thank you to the dragon and grabbed David's wrist.
665, 666, here it is, 667!
Emma yanked the door open, only to be greeted with a wave of boiling heat.
"Peter? You in here?" Emma asked no one in particular. Suddenly, the red dragon with Amber horns came face to face with the girl, causing her to stumble back.
"Oh, it's you! Nice to see you again!" Emma said.
"Again?" A fimilair blondie called out. Suddenly Peter appeared beside the dragon, hand gliding across it's ruby scales.
"Yeah, I saw him last month, some time ago. He's really pretty, and a good conversationalist." Emma complimented, getting a purr from the dragon.
"Heh, he says he really likes you." Peter complemented.
"His dragons name is Joel, that was Peter's little brothers name." David whispered in Emma's ear, Peter too busy checking his dragons teeth to notice their wispering.
Once he was done; which took about half an hour to talk to his Dragon, and endless coaxing from his friends, he gestured to the door "Now come on, we still have to see David's dragon."
"Bye Jole!" Emma wave good-bye, and the dragon have her a thoothy grin. This time David led the way, using his bond to lead him towards his dragon. Not to long after, they stopped on stable 369. When they entered, the first thing Emma noticed was the damp air and how light the room was. David introduced his dragon with pride.
"Guys, meet Aqua. Aqua, meet Emma." The dragon was beautifully designed from its blue to white feathered wings to it's piercing light blue eyes, just like David's. It's white horns shone in the light, and it had a relaxing vibe around it. Emma and Aqua stared at each other, both taking in each other's appearances.

"It's nice to finally meet you Emma, I hope we can become good friends in the future." Aqua spoke in her mind.
I do too
David and Peter brought their dragons to the take-off platform and hopped into there dragons backs, but before they took off they looked back at Emma.
"Are you getting your dragon out Emma?" Peter asked. The question gave Emma a reminder that she didn't really have anything. And in this world, you need one thing to live.
But she had nothing.
Shaking the thoughts out of her head, she smiled and asked the boys a question.
"Maybe I can ride with one of you guys? My dragon is a bit sick so it can't fly right now." Emma lied, she hated lying, but she had to in times like these.
"Sure! Come climb on!" David patted the spot behind him and Emma swiftly jumped on the blue dragons back. She braced herself, wrapping her arms around David as the dragon took of with one beat of it's mighty wings.
Once in the sky, a once forgotten feeling of freedom came rushing back to Emma. The feeling of the wind against her face, the saddle beneath her legs, and the feeling of dragon scales against her skin, even the feeling and no blood circulation in her legs were missed by the brunette. Everything was so fimiliar and yet it did not feel complete.
The dragons flew close together, and Peter tried to do some aerial flips, but somehow managed to mess them up.
They flew for hours, ignoring the other students who were flying there diffrent coloured dragons as well.
The clouds bunched up together more, creating darker storm clouds.
"Maybe we should head back." Emma said in David's ear. His blue eyes met up with Emma's grey ones and he gave a nod.
A distant dragon roar pulled Emma out of the fimiliar trance and back to reality. The two dragons slowed and flew down a bit to find the source of the sound.
A flash of yellow passed them, heading to the direction of the school. The dragons quickly turned back and make their way back to the school as fast as they could.
"Emma! What was that?" Peter yelled over the wind.
"I'm not sure, but if it's heading to our school it cant be good." She replied. The dragons finally made it back to the stables and Emma hopped off the dragon's back. She was shocked when she saw what the yellow blur was.
It was a dragon, it's body a bit mangled from the crash but it was still breathing. The yellow dragons rider was knocked off and sprawled on the floor. When Emma approached the yellow dragon's rider, they moved a bit, making Peter and David jump a little bit. The rider lifted their head to look at Emma, there yellow eyes struggling to keep themselves open. The bright shining yellow pierced though the silver hair that covered the riders face.

"T- The.....Eastern academy....under attack....dark....magic...." those were the only words the injured dragon rider got out before they collapsed on the floor. They stood there in shock until Emma stared yelling commands.
"David, get the first aid kit now!" David nodded and disappeared behind some stables to get the first aid kit. "And Peter, I need you to help David patch up these two."
"Where are you going Emma?" Peter asked.
"I'm going to warm the headmaster about this" Emma quickly dashed out of the stables and made her way down to the headmaster's office. Once she reached headmaster's office doors, she burst through, not caring of anyone was inside.
"Headmaster! The Eastern Academy is under attack!" Emma yelled, getting the attention of all the teachers in the room.
"What do you mean? How do you know?" One of the teachers asked.
"A rider from the Easten academy has flown here with the news. They need the healers right this instant, they have lost to much blood to be left unattended any longer." A few of the healers in the room burst out. Emma sent out a silent prayer that they would get to the stables in time.
"Headmaster, do you think this is related to the southern academy two months ago?" Emma asked.
"I think it is, and if I'm correct, there will be deaths involved" Was all the headmaster said. Emma's heart shattered and all her hopes were lost, but she kept her emotions away from the task at hand.
"So what exactly are you gonna do?" Emma asked, a little saddness in her voice. The headmaster put his fingers on his chin, his eyes looked distant as he though of a plan.
"I need the high rank teachers to check for any survivors. I also need our best doctor with them, as for the rest of the academy, Mr. Draco," At those words the teacher feared by most students stood up. Mr.Draco was in his late thirties, he had a black beard unlike the headmaster's shaven one.
Mr.Draco was the teacher responsible for the teaching of dragons, and magical abilites. But the reason why he was feared was because of a rumor.
It was rumored that his dragon was killed, but he lived through it, and because of that, his bond to his dragon broke, breaking his mind as well. Time to time he would break out in anger, yelling about how it was the black dragon that killed his dragon. Everyone thought he was crazy, the black dragon was extinct and will never come back. Well they might be wrong, seeing as if one of the two does in a bond, the other will follow suit.
"I want you to make sure that all the students are calm and don't leave to help, take all the secondary teachers to help." Mr.Draco nodded and left the room, a few secondary teachers following. The headmaster looked back to me, putting his hands on her shoulders.
"Emma, this is the second attack this year; I know you can tell that something is wrong here, but please, it's not your time, not yet." With those words headmaster left the room, leaving only Emma there, leaving the brunette confused of his words.
She left the room with her head hanging low, ignoring the pitter-patter of other students feet as they left their classes and ran to the're rooms.
David was the first one to find Emma sulking in the hallway. Her arms were wrapped around her knees while her head was looking down towards the ground.
"Hey, are you ok?" David asked. Emma's head shot up and looked at the two boys faces. She quickly pulled herself together and smiled, getting up and dusting herself off.
"Yeah I'm ok, just a bit shocked is all." Emma felt bad for lying to these two, even though it has only been a month, She felt closer too these boys then any one else. Emma's face changed from a smile to a worried expression as she remembered something.
"How's the crashed dragon rider?" She asked. This time, Peter spoke
"Good, she's in the infirmary right now, but that scary looking guy told us to head to our rooms, said something about an attack going on." Peter shuffled a bit as he thought back to when he bumped into him in the hallways. A shiver went up his spine.
"It's almost curfew time, let's just go to bed and sneak out, you can use some magic charms to help David." Peter said. David shook his head.
"In not using my powers for breaking rules! That's your style, not mine." His voice rose a bit, louder than Emma has heard I'm the past month.
"Guys, we will see the rider tommorow, let's just get some rest, it's been a busy day for all of us." Emma put her hands on their shoulders, reasurring them. They both have a nod as the three of them walked towards the doys dorms.
The boys went in without a sound, making Emma feel a little bit gloomy. She made her way back into her room, and to her surprise Ashley wasn't there. She put on her pjs and once again greeted the dream world with open arms.

Protagonist: The Whims of Gods
Book one now also on Amazon! After quitting her job as a therapist and grabbing some work at a dog shelter, Tess's life became pretty slow. A tad boring, even. It thus came as no small surprise when she was chosen by a god. Thrust into a new world where magic, monsters, and character levels are suddenly a reality, Tess will quickly find that just surviving can be a challenge. It doesn't help that dark forces are stirring, she's woefully underpowered, and that spiders keep trying to claw her face off. One thing's for certain, though: The possibilities are endless. Will she end up wrestling a dragon? Becoming an arch-mage? Opening a quaint, bookstore, coffee shop, and wine bar for elves? The choice is hers... As long as she can live long enough to make it. Protagonist is a fairly classic LitRPG novel with character levels, classes, stats, settlements, and other LitRPG elements. Unlike a lot of LitRPG stories, while the protagonist has some perks, she doesn't start off overpowered. You can expect to see her struggle as she advances. This novel also takes the opportunity to explore some less frequently seen builds, shying away from any min-maxing. Chapters are about ~2000-3000 words and are released at 8:00am ET every other day.

The London Phantom: A Superhero Webnovel
London is an old city. It has survived floods, fires, plagues and the man-made smog of industry. It has stood firm against the armies of Vikings, Saxons, Normans and the aerial might of the Luftwaffe. It has borne witness to dynsatic feuds, civil wars, military occupation and the sin of regicide. Through all these disasters the city has survived not through force of arms, though its walls were once the envy of the world, but through adapting to the times. Enemies become dependant on the city, and the wealth of the world that flows through it, and so become new allies. If the rulers change, then the city welcomes them with open arms, and open lines of credit. In this way the city seeks to preserve its ancient rights and position of power. Superheroes are a new phenomenon. The first superpowered man walked out of the Nevada desert in 1950, and the world was forever changed. Across the planet, men and women with exceptional abilities made themselves known. At first, they were little more than another source of fear in the era of Mutually Assured Destruction, but over time attitudes changed and the concept of the Superhero was created in the city of Los Angeles. From there the phenomenon spread across the globe; superheroes went from being feared arms of the state to a symbol of hope in these maddening times. Times have changed. Sixty years from the emergence of the first superhero, the City of London stands on a precipice. Two years have passed since the madman Fawkes nearly brought down the United Kingdom and the remnants of the Bow Street Runners, London's premier superhero team, are struggling to keep order in a city that seems on the brink of collapse. London stands on a knife's edge, with criminal organisations that once stuck to the shadows becoming more bold, and ancient powers from myth and legend making themselves known. Alexander Laszewski has recently 'awakened' and has become entirely unremakable, effectively making himself invisible to the world. He must use his newfound power to navigate a city on the edge of collapse. If only he could figure out how to turn it off.
