Xue Liang would wait for her husband as he was now traveling to the Qiliang Kingdom. She would await for him being restless nowadays. Sitting down, she would worry, Su Rong and Peng Lim we're always together, having to envy them wanting to hold Liu Gang in her arms.

She felt so lonely as she mainly remained in her bed chamber waiting for him and remembering his scent when they were together.

They were waiting, her father then decided to visit her since she would be known to be lonely. "Father, how is mother's incident being seen?"

"We've been watching and Ya she's been very secretive. She has a child with the Prince. Although she is carrying my future grandchild, I cannot allow her to scheme and harm anyone she sees as lowly." He told her as Xue Liang nodded. A messenger from the emperor then came running in as he was calling for Xue Liang.

"Madam Liang!!!!" He called out as she and her father got up going to the messenger.

"What brings this messenger here?" She asked as he stayed on his knees but spoke.

"This messenger has come to inform you that General Liu died in battle at the Qiliang Kingdom. Many soldiers were killed and too many bodies that cannot be brought back." Just as Xue Liang heard it she soon fainted as her father caught her.

"Liang!!! Quickly call a physician!!!" Peng Lim and Su Rong rushed into the room as Xue Liang was set down. She was light headed as she had tears forming in her eyes.

"Gang..." she called his name as the physician entered.

"Please check on my daughter!" Duke Xue Cheng then said as he did.

The physician checked her pulse as everyone waited silently, he had a serious face and checked a little longer to be sure. "This physician can only say that Madam is three months pregnant. She needs to have a lot of rest and eat nutritious food for her child." Xue Liang was shocked, rubbing her small bump that had formed very little within the three months. She cried as she only had the child left now.

Her father thanked the physician which Su Rong and Peng Lim went over to her. "Madam Liang, you have to take care of Master Liu and your child growing in you." Su Rong then said as she could only nod in response.

"The child is my masters and best friend's child so I will protect you and his child for as long as I live." Peng Lim said as she looked at both Su Rong and Peng Lim.

"Both of you are so generous but Lim, I need you here to help my father and brothers. Even if Gang isn't here I have his child to care for. I cannot afford to lose the only thing left of him. Since I'm with child then I will be leaving to protect my child." Xue Liang said wanting to ensure her child's safety.

"Liang what are you saying?!" Her father came in as he sat down on the edge of the bed looking at her. "I already lost your mother but I cannot lose you too." He held her hand as she shook her head.

"You have to take care of Brother Li and Brother Yahui. I have to take care of my child. Sister Ya will do anything to kill this child because she hated me and since I'm pregnant with Gang's child she will do whatever she can to kill me and the child." Her father could only sigh feeling so broken from her choice. He felt at fault for everything that was happening.

"I cannot even protect my daughter. Then I will have some of my guards help you go. I cannot let you go alone. Even if you have Rong and Lim I cannot guarantee all of your safety." They nodded as Su Rong and Peng Lim were packing what they needed.

The emperor called for Duke Xue Cheng to the palace.

"What may the emperor want with this Duke?" The emperor looked to him, he sighed knowing that the message must've affected Xue Liang the most as she was now a widow and needed a husband to support her.

"How is Madam Liang?" The emperor questioned.

"My daughter, Liang, was very devastated..." Xue Ya was there as she smiled looking down as she caressed her four month belly. Prince Ye Ping was also smiling, Duke Xue Cheng saw his expression making him feel angered.

"Duke Xue, she is a widow now. I believe she needs to find another husband to support her. If you'd like, I can have her marry one of my sons." Prince Ye Ping smiled as he wanted her as his consort.

"Your highness, I cannot allow that." Prince Ye Ping was now angered as the emperor was curious why.

"Explain why?" The emperor asked.

"Liang is pregnant with Gang's child. She will be leaving in isolation." Duke Xue Cheng then said as the emperor sighed as he nodded agreeing to her choices. Xue Ya and Prince Ye Ping were feeling anger rise within them.

"Alright, she may need time to heal since her husband was killed in battle. I will allow her to leave and live freely. Please do tell her to come and visit the Ming Kingdom if she ever wishes to." Duke Xue Cheng nodded as he exited the palace as Xue Ya went out.

"All of you get rid of Liang! Make sure she dies and so does her child." She ordered assassins as they started their way. Xue Liang left with Su Rong without her father's guards. No one could discover their secret home hidden in the deep unknown forest they found two years ago. Peng Lim followed them until he stopped to hold Xue Ya's men back.

They rode a carriage, Xue Liang could only keep rubbing her belly as she felt happy to have Liu Gang's child. "Liang, I can smell Ya's assassins nearby. It's a strong scent and they are riding by horse." Hearing Su Rong tell her.

"Lim is there for us. He will stay here for us. He will come visit us when we send him a message." Su Rong nodded as both girls started their journey to their hidden home.
