CHAPTER 2: CORNWALL
"Who wants to go to Cornwall?" My teacher asked writing it down on the board happily, only Stephen and Joe raised their hands.
"What the hell is Cornwall?" Chantelle asked disappointed
"Its a county, Chantelle" Alfie replied smiling.
"But it's abroad right?" Stephen asked excitedly.
"No, a county in England" He answered as Stephen slumped back disappointed.
"Rolling hills, smugglers cover-" He trailed on.
"Stinks of shit" I added as he sent me a glare.
"I ain't travelling six hours to stand in a field watching some big farmer want off sheep into a bucket" My best friend, Cleo, agreed.
"An agricultural practice, I'm unaware of" He passed back.
"We have to go on a post-exam trip, it's a right of passage" Jing said sternly.
"Did you go on one after your GCSE's?" Chantelle asked excitedly.
"Yeah, Shaguluf with the lads. I'm sworn to secrecy but I'm sure you can guess what we got up to" He said with pride.
"You didn't go to Shaguluf with my brother, he told me everything" I shook my head with sass.
"He must have lied then" Alfie snapped back to me.
"Keep telling yourself that" I muttered as he got back on with his story.
"Look Cornwall is gonna be insane, and get this, my best friend from school and Crys' brother of course, Atticus Hoye is throwing a massive house party down there" He explained before I cut him off.
"Got the invite" I held up the invite from my bag then I ripped it up and gave it to Mitchell who threw it in the bin.
"I'm talking popup tiki bars, fairground rides and frickin Nandos van" He smiled and then the whole class got excited apart from me.
"Atticus, man, your posh" Cleo said to my teacher "At least my bestie goes by Crys"

"How's that posh, he's just my old fencing buddy" Alfie asked confused. Me and Mitchell looked at each as we were thinking the same thing.
"Did you cross swords with him sir?"
"Hell yeah, I buried my tip into him more times than. Right I see what you did there" He stopped as the class burst into laughter.
"I hope you have a good time in Cornwall, wish I could come" Joe sadly replied.
"You are coming, mate" Alfie replied
"Take my place" I said as the whole class looked at me.
"Crys, Why you not wanna go?" Remm dog asked.
"My brother, who I haven't seen in bloody ages, is throwing a house party and I was invited however my whole class just has to go and he's gonna embarras me" I explained angrily.
"Come on" Stephen said as the whole class pleaded.
"Fine" I gave in.
"Mum will never let me go to Cornwall" Joe said sternly.
"She's not gonna know thanks to this" He held up this orange booklet.
"A fake itinary I have devised full of boring school trippy shit" He said.
