Monday morning rolls in and the alarm clock is hard to reach when I lean over Sophia to turn it off as she sleeps curled into my chest. It'll be our last morning getting up for work. We spent most of the day yesterday sleeping and the latter half packing up our bags and the things we think we will need, going over to her place and seeing what to take. We will have to come back and pack up the rest of our belongings in the spring of next year. By then we should have our house ready. Laying back down Sophia stirs as her eyes open softly before she closes them again, cuddling in closer as her nose brushes across my collar bone and her lips press against my neck. "We have to get up," she mumbles but makes no effort to move to get up as our legs tangle around one another. "We could skip the day and just stay in bed." I counter and that small laugh filters through the dark room before she slips out of my arms and grabs the clothes set out on the chair before slipping into the bathroom and locking the door. 

"You know if I wanted to I could get through that door," calling out after her as I get up and grab my outfit, looking it over. "Fucking lumberjack..." I mumble and she laughs more as I hear her changing. The door pulls open a moment later as I button up the shirt and Sophia is still laughing. "You know Wayne called you a LumberSnack."

"He would," I chuckle before looking her over slowly. Sophia adjusts her top as she tugs it down but it's too tight, riding back up instantly, gazing down farther she has on a short red plaid skirt, all covered by a small red cape over her back and black boots on her feet. Our costumes were picked out by Wayne, a dear friend indeed. Sophia gets on her tiptoes and she smiles coyly before flicking my nose. "Focus Hotshot, or we gonna be late and I don't like that." Swatting at her hand she laughs before tugging me out of the house and into the truck as she pulls her jacket on over herself as I start to drive. 

We arrive first and Wayne isn't long behind us as he climbs out of his truck wearing a full jumpsuit that isn't zipped up all the way and he whistles over at us. "I could still change, be your wolf." He grins wide and he looks me over before looking over at Sophia and I can feel the slight rise of her fur from her wolf. "Relax, you will get use to this. It's only Wayne." whispering in her ear as I put my arm over her shoulder and she pulls back on the leash before comforting her just as Dominic taught her yesterday. He has a better grip and teaching of how to handle their wolves than we seem to have, their connection with their own is much deeper than ours. She smacks Wayne in the stomach, "negative Ghostrider," she mocks and they both laugh as they talk back and forth while we wait for it to open and for her brother to come.

The work day starts first and both Luca and Conner arrive late as they walk in through the front gate and go to get their name tags. Dressed in a long silky pink and blue dress that's too small for him, Conner has a sneer set on his face as people giggle and laugh while they pass by and Luca elbows him telling him to smile better for the kids. Luca's outfit doesn't fit any better, a teal belly dancer's outfit and soft slippers on his feet he adjusts the top to try and cover himself more. Sophia is a fit of laughter next to me as she bends over, holding her stomach and Conner looks at her with unfiltered murder in his eyes while Luca tries to shove her to fall over. "I'll get you back for this one, promise ya that sis!" 

Conner starts to mouth off but his jaw clamps closed and his skin goes paler as he looks over my shoulder. "No... That's not... No," his voice waivers slightly before it turns to cold steel. Luca's lips tighten in a thin line as he looks at Conner and his hands ball into fists at his side just as mine do as I look back at that male. "Don't you fucking dear," the words slip out and Sophia is looking around between us all in confusion. "What's goin' on?" She asks as she watches Wayne get closer and she frowns before looking back at Conner. "What's your damn problem?" Her eyes start to narrow. 

Luca is the one to answer as Conner can't tear his eyes away as they turn to ice, "they're mates," he mutters and Sophia's eyes go wide. Wayne comes up beside me laughing and giggling as he looks over Luca before his eyes move to Conner and he snarls loudly before stomping off before Wayne can get the chance to even give him a glance. "What's with him? It isn't that bad. I tried to get something that would fit on short notice" Wayne covers his mouth with his hand as he laughs before his eyes flick away from Conner over to Luca with an easy smile. "You look good," he hums as he looks over Luca again while Luca watches Conner and that tightness is set in his jaw. He gives Wayne a quick wink as he forces a smile, "don't mind him, he's got a stick so far up his ass he gonna need some real surgery to pull it out." Luca laughs and Sophia and I have to force out small tight laughs and chuckles with it.

The words fling around my mind from Sophia as her eyes stay on Conner until he completely disappears and they flash with lightning promises of violence. "Well you two know what you're doing, have fun with your tours," Sophia says as she turns to her brother and he makes a mocking curtsy as he tugs gently on the sides of his too-small pants, walking off towards Conners direction. Wayne watches his ass, making low whistling sounds and Sophia chides him as she checks her hips to his. "You know what you're doing today?" She asks and Wayne fixes the glasses on his face as he smiles wider, "I get to sit around in the office and do help desk."

Sophia looks at him as she raises her brow, "who did you blow to get that job?" She asks and Wayne licks his lips as his brows waggle at her. "Someone didn't come in to work today and I was in the right place at the right time just now they switched me over there. Have fun with the wolves, I'm going to go sit on my butt," he stretches and sighs and she pokes him hard making him hold his stomach and laugh hard as he walks away to the front desk with a wave of his hand leaving Sophia and me to ourselves.

"That's alright I have a job for us, remember that cat we caught? She's going to a place and I need help in the clinic." Sophia informs me as she turns to me and smiles, "wanna come with me, HotShot?"

"How can I say no?" Her smile tugs up at the corner and she looks over me slowly while leading me to the back area of the clinic and she flicks on the light as she enters. Closing the door behind me I'm yanked into the back storage room and Sophia closes the door as she peers up at me, tongue slowly slipping out to moisten her lips. "Couldn't wait for us to get home?" We are both panting softly when our eyes finally meet when she peeks out from behind her fingers. Dressed like that he can still get the girls to flock to him. Sophia rolls her eyes before cutting into the middle and shooing them away and they bare teeth towards her. The growl she returns has them both jumping back and scurrying off before she glares at him and finds him laughing "what?" 

"You know damn well what! Can't you ignore the harpies for just one day? You are supposed to be here with us not flirting with anything on two legs," she crosses her arms, looking hurt and he apologizes before we walk towards the front to get Wayne so we can go to the diner for lunch. When we get there something seems off and I can feel my wolf tipping over the edge. Looking over at them, Conner and Luca seem to have the same idea as we head inside and stay back while Sophia and Wayne go first. 

"You feel it?" I ask them and they both nod as they scan the area. "I don't see anything yet."

"Best we can do is keep our wits about us, eat and get the fuck out of here," Conner says as he looks at me and I nod my head. Taking our seats they do their part to look unaware as a human would be with whatever wolves are around us but as we order our food and it arrives, we still have no signs of a threat. We almost give up on the possibility and chalk it up to some passing by until I hear Luca curse under his breath as he looks to the door when its bell jingles.
