《A Dark Past (Aphmau FNAF meets MyStreet)》Chapter 5: Shopping and Poppin'

Jay's POV (HA! Betcha didn't see that one coming!)
----------------------------------------
Aphmau had weird friends. Don't get me wrong, they seem nice, but several of the guys looked like they were about to explode.
I wasn't dumb. I can tell most of them like Aphie.
It just seems silly they're angry at me.
Oh....
Did Aphie not tell them I was just a friend?
Huh....
"Yo, Jay!" Aphmau nudged me, and pointed straight up ahead.
Giant flashy letters boomed and spelt out: Music City Mall (Its a real mall)
Lots of people were swarming the doorway, some coming out with giant shopping bags, others squeezing their way into the doors.
After 10 minutes of pushing, getting lost, and 'excuse me's' we finally got in.
The mall was decorated with orange and black balloons. Hairy spiders and bats decorated the walls. A few witches on broomsticks flew around in the air, suspended by thin, almost invisible string. Several people were already dressed up, and handing out candy.
"Oooh! Let's go to Maddie's!" Aphmau squealed, and dragged me off into a very pink store.
Viewing rack after rack of clothes, nothing really fit the true Foxy. Then, I spotted the perfect outfit.
(I know its for a girl, but I couldn't find a boy one. :l)
I snatched everything off before anyone else could and dashed to the changing room.
*Timeskip!*
I inspected my new outfit in a mirror outside the changing rooms when I felt a sharp tap on my shoulder.
Spinning around, I almost screamed in terror, but it came out as a muffled, "Meep!"
There stood Aphmau, wearing a almost perfect representation of the Puppet.
"Wow." Was all I could say.
"I know right! It's perfect! I was also thinking, maybe we could do cool side-affects while we're on stage!"
"Like...?"
"Make the stage look like a fizzy security camera!"

"Uhh...How is this-"
"As in, we move each time the 'screen' goes out, to make us look more real."
"I see what your trying to say...I think we can do it!"
"Really? But how?"
"Don't worry. I've got it."
"Oh, alright. Let's pay for our things!"
After getting our costumes, we payed at the cashier and left Maddie's.
"I'm sooooo excited!" She screamed, ignoring the odd looks others gave her.
"So am I! Oh, the prom! Who are you going with?" I suddenly remembered.
Her expression saddened.
"I'm not sure. I might take your offer, but I also wanna go with Aaron! I was planning on asking him maybe, but what if he says no!" She was visibly panicking.
Before I could reassure her, someone else butted in.
"Of course Aaron~Senpai will say no to you! Nya~!" A high-pitched voice said from behind.
I was faced with a meif'wa, that had lilac purple hair, and black ears.
"Aaron~Senpai is going with me!" She said, looking disdainfully at Aphmau.
How many enemies did Aphie have?
"Michi." Aphmau growled. "I didn't recall invited you into the conversation."
"Michi doesn't care! Nobody does. About you." She smirked triumphantly.
"Go away Michi. Come on Jay." Aphmau said stiffly, dragging me away.
"Wait til Michi tells Aaron~Senpai, you have a boyfriend!" She cat-called. (Hehe)
"And wait til I tell him, you lied!" Aphmau replied.
The meif'wa was shooting us dirty looks as we walked off.
"She's lying ya know." I told Aphmau.
"I know. But she gets on my nerves! She's constantly flirting with Aaron, but she has such a fat-head, she doesn't seem to realize, he's not interested!"
I went silent after that.
Families and groups of people pushed passed us in the busy mall.
Rounding a corner, we reached a dead end where few were hustling about.

Aphmau suddenly stiffed, and her eyes stretched wide with horror.
"What is it?" Is hissed, looking around.
"N...nothing. Just thought I saw somebody."
"Who?"
"No one. At least, no one too important..heh." Bead of sweat trickled down her face.
I frowned. "Your a really bad liar Aphie."
She flushed bright red.
"Fine. I saw Purple Guy."
That name brought chills to my bones. Just a single man. Yet so much innocent blood spilled onto his hands.
"You saw him?!" I said, alarm creeping into my voice.
"I...I think so. He was over there." She pointed to a nearby dark corner.
"Let's investigate."
Poking my head through, I followed Aphmau.
The quiet dripping of water was the only sound apart from our shallow breathing.
"NiCe TO SeE yOu aGAin." A creepy voice said.
Purple Guy appeared from the darkness in front, and we jumped back.
Grinning sadistically, he eerily stared at us.
"What do you want, ya creep?" Aphmau fearlessly stepped up.
He smiled. "YoUr POwEr Of cOuRse..."
"I don't have any power." Aphmau said quietly.
"oH Ho ho HO! BuT yOu Do!" He cackled. "ThE MaRrIoneTtE's SpIRt eXiStS WitHin YoU FooLiSh GiRl."
Aphmau stayed silent.
"AnD IT wIlL Be mINe!" He laughed, an evil, hateful laugh filled with madness.
He slunk back into the shadows, and the sound of his laughter vanished.
Aphmau stared shaking.
"Aphie?" I asked softly.
"I..I'm f..fine."
"No your not."
"I am..."
"No, your not. Come out."
I guided her out of the dark passageway.
Blinding light seared my vision as I walked back into the much happier part of the mall, only to be assaulted by a group of people.
Carried through the crowd, we managed to get ourselves a seat by Starbucks.
"...Why does Purple Guy want your power, Aphie?" I asked her.
She cast a shady glance down. "He probably wants to use it so he can...you know. Murder." She whispered the last part.
"Or take control of the animatronics..." She added, which only created another depressing layer to our conversation.
We both drifted off into Memory Land for a while.
We didn't notice a certain group of people approaching until one of them shook my shoulder.
Startled, I raised my hook, prepared to swipe when I noticed their faces.
"Oh. It's you."
Aphmau shook herself from her daze and looked up at her friends.
"Hey Katelyn, Kawaii-Chan, Garroth, Laurence, Dante, Travis, Lucinda and Aaron." She said with fake cheerfulness.
They seemed to buy it.
"Hey Aphmau. Whatcha got there?" The blue-haired girl, Katelyn I think, gestured to our shopping bags.
"Some costumes." She smiled.
"Can I see?"
"No."
"Why not?"
"It's supposed to be a surprise."
"Oh."
Grabbing more chairs, they scooted and combined tables to make a single table.
Most edged away from me except for the Travis guy who sat next to me.
"So....how was shopping?" The orange haired witch asked.
"It was great actually! We found everything we needed!" Aphmau said, trying to avoid talking about what we got.
All eyes turned to me.
"What?" I asked.
"How was shopping?" The orange haired witch, Lucinda I think, repeated.
"Great."
"....."
We all sat in uncomfortable silence.
"Well then." Katelyn muttered.
A little kid dashed next to us, and me and Aphmau froze at his costume.
It was a mini Bonnie costume, rosy cheeks, a bright smile, and an electric blue suit.
"Aphmau?" Laurence asked.
Her hazel eyes glazed over, and she started trembling.
I realized what was about to happen a second before it did.
My eyes widened.
"Aphmau, NO!" I shouted, trying to catch her before she fell, but it was too late.
She closed her eyes, and went limp.

I am so evil. Mwahahahha

Sorcery in Boston
The timid daughter of some of the greatest spellcasters ever to have lived has found herself in another world, courtesy of magic gone awry. In Boston, Massachusetts, in the year 1935, she finds some kind souls in a hard era. In the heart of the Great Depression, as war looms around the corner, she seeks to find her place, and must come to terms with both who she is and what she truly desires. Author's Notes: Release Note: I recently realized what the hold up is. My current mental state is not compatible with the planned ending. If I wrote the ending according to what currently feels right, it will be a wretched, cruel ending that feels monstrously unfair and invalidates the work of the various characters... because that's how my life feels at the moment. The planned ending is coming out hollow and awkward, no matter how I write it, and so I've been bashing my head. I will finish it, once I manage to either brute force something decent out, or once my head gets screwed on straight. Audience: This story is not for young children - it contains some profanity, sexual content, violence, gore, and significant adult themes. Most of these are handled delicately enough not to upset teens or adults (hopefully), hence the lack of relevant tags, but it is nonetheless unsuitable for youth. It's fairly slow paced, and focused on the development of very human, very flawed individuals. Length / Completion Estimates: The outline currently involves two books. Book 1 is expected to be done with Chapter 43. It'll probably be completely finished by sometime in March of this year. I expect to move on to the far-more-lighthearted Of Gods and Dungeons (currently in progress / on hiatus). Afterwards, I may decide to redo Book 1, or write Book 2, or actually start sharing the story most dear to me, that I've been working on for several years now. Draft 1: Please be aware that this is first draft material. I do intend to come back to do a second draft after the story is complete. If anyone notices any issues whatsoever with the story, please let me know (pm, etc) so that I can improve the second draft. Writer's Pledge: I've taken the Writer's Pledge, meaning I'm commiting to completing this story. I'm a proud member of WriTE, a group dedicated to finishing stories. It will be done! Behind the Scenes notes: This picture was commissioned from an inked artist by the name of DanP. Up until the time of the protagonist's arrival, history has proceeded as before. Some places and characters have been borrowed from wikipedia entries of interesting figures from the time. I will make note in the chapter comments when such things come up. Naturally, I've taken a great deal of liberty with them. In interest of respecting individuals, I've either attempted to portray them as accurately as possible, or modified them sufficiently enough that they're simply an inspiration, instead of a real portrayal. I've attempted to be as accurate to the era as possible, but I'm not a historian. If you're aware of inaccuracies, please, bring them to my attention so that I can correct them.

Elania, Arachne in a different world
Does have GL subplot later on. Warning: Since some people do not seem to get the slice of life idea, this story is SLOW. There is action and I intend to write more of it but don't come here expecting it to be the focus 24/7. A young woman from Earth wakes up in a cave, disoriented, confused, amnesic and with her lower body replaced by that of a giant spider. She has no idea what she stumbled into and all the extra sensations were definitely not helping. "Did I get reincarnated into a fantasy world?" She's not quite sure. But, the goblin, the troll and (soon enough) the hot elf all suggest "yes." As much as it creeps her out, her new body is powerful and flexible in some very interesting 'spidery' ways as she slowly learns to live with it. Combined with what modern knowledge she can still remember, the newly christened Elania soon finds herself building a new life as an adventurer among the elves. Who knows what awaits her? Maybe, just maybe, she might even find happiness along the way. There will be a fair amount of errors in writing up until chapter 43 (where I got a proper proofreader/editor to help me out.) Chapters 1-20 or so will at some point receive partial rewriting because I don't quite like the flow and feel there are some parts that don't make as much sense as they should. Please don't suggest edits for chapters up until 43, anything after that, feel free to in case we missed anything. Find me on discord at : https://discord.gg/TqFjdv8uaE
