《My BadBoy》Chapter 49: Roselyn

" Roselyn," Jackson banged on the door. " Roselyn let me in, I saw you move the drapes back"
I stood uncomfortably in silence wearing nothing but Jackson's T-shirt. I left my phone in his car because it was dead anyways. " Let me try" I whisper and stepped in front of Jackson.
" Look, Roselyn we're here because of Andrew—"
" She already—"
" Shh!" I sighed rolling my eyes at him. " Roselyn i'm really sorry this idiot has decided to bother you but, you see Andrew has recently taken advantage of me and—"
The door opened. "That son of a bitch"
"Exactly" Jackson smirked and walked in.
~
" I still can't believe you're not wearing any shorts under my shirt" Jackson muttered to me under his breath.
" And where the heck am I supposed to get shorts from?"
" You were wearing a dress weren't you?" He whisper yelled.
" Which I took off because it was wet" I crossed my arms.
" Um excuse me but you're atti—"
" I found you some sweatpants!" Roselyn walked back into the room smiling.
" Thanks Roselyn" I quickly slipped on the grey sweats.
" Please," She motioned towards the couch. " Have a seat, and call me Rose"
I froze.
" Wait...what did you just say?" I asked.
She looked at me confused. " Um... have a seat?"
" No," I shook my head. " After that"
" I said call me Rose. Roselyn is way too formal for me" She laughed.
Jackson studied my expression for a while but didn't say anything.
" Oh okay.." I nodded.
" So," Jackson clapped. Taking away from the awkward silence. "Tell us your story"
" Everything?" She bit her nails and looked down. Her long dark hair swooped down and covered half her face.
" Well no but—"

" Yes," I cut Jackson off. " I want to hear it. Every painful, excruciating detail, don't worry we won't judge you"
" Ashley" Jackson glared at me.
" it's ok..." Rose closed her eyes. " I will share if it helps you teach him a lesson"
" Thank you Rose" Jackson didn't look at me.
" This didn't happen recently but it wasn't that long ago either, it almost feel like it was yesterday," She began. " I was bestfriends with his girlfriend at the time and we both use to have a crush on him growing up. I had nothing on her though so I knew she would win. They started going on dates together and we would just stay home and play video games. The more dates they went out on the more friendzoned I became"
There's no way...
" They eventually became a couple and I knew that was it for me. She was my best friend so I would have to smile all the time and listen to stories about their conversations and how happy he made her feel, stuff like that. The day I actually decided to get over him he showed up at my house drunk. He was ranting to me about an argument he had with her and I accidently let it slip that I liked him" She began playing with her hair.
" Are you sure it was an accident?" I pressed.
" Christ," Jackson mumbled. " Ashley!"
" Yes," She met my eyes. " I'm sure. He was talking about what if he made the wrong choice and in attempts to make it seem like he made the right choice I kinda said 'hey it was either her or me' after that he made me tell him what I was feeling 100% and we..."
" Do you know what him and his girlfriend were arguing about?"
" Um yeah, I think it was something like her thinking all he wants from her is sex"
" So you sleep with him instead?" I rose my eyebrows.
" Ashley step outside, you're done here" Jackson stood up.
" No" I stayed seated.
" I-I didn't know...I said I loved him and...he was drunk...i'm sorry.." Rose looked up to avoid crying.
I sighed. " What happened after?"
" Well... he stayed with me for a while...until I got pregnant. He dumped me because I told him the baby wasn't his and I had an abortion after. I felt guilty for what I did to my friend" She frowned.
I stood up. " What I really wanna know is why did you let us in when I said Andrew's name when the guy you're talking about here is Pete?"
" Who's Pete?" Jackson piped in.
" Oh do you by any chance mean Pete Roberts?" She reached underneath her couch cushion and pulled out a half burned picture of her, Sadie and...Andrew"
" What...?," I looked up at her. " I don't..."
I can tell this picture has been through alot but nevertheless Sadie was standing next to Andrew with her arms wrapped around his shoulder and next to Andrew on the other side was Rose with her hands folded together looking down at the ground. I don't know why she seemed so insecure there for because she was beautiful.
" You wanna know a secret about Pete?, he's a compulsive liar," She clenched her fist. " We knew him for almost 12 years and he never once felt the need to tell us Pete was only his middle name. The mafia?—" She looked at Jackson. " Not an excuse to lie to someone you've been sleeping with, someone...someone you said you wanted to spend the rest of your life with"
" Oh this is great" Jackson laughed, pacing the living room.
" Ashley," Rose looked at me. " I know you hate me because Sadie have obviously told you this story before —minus the Pete part I guess— and you are obligated to hate me as her new best friend but I don't hate you. I completely understand how you feel though because karma has already made its way back to me and—"
" Mommy, Mommy! Tyler bit my finger!" A precious blond little girl with big brown eyes like her mother ran out crying. She was so cute I had to remove my bitch face and smile at her.
" Did not!" A boy with brown hair walked out pouting.
Rose kissed the little girl on the cheek and pat the boy's head before muttering. " What am I gonna do with you guys"
" I'm sorry" I was overcome with guilt.
" Oh honey you have nothing to be sorry for trust me if I was in your position I would've been a b-i-t-c-h too but now i've moved on. The married life is treating me well and having twins really helped me understand what's more important in life; love—" her eyes sparkled as she looked at her children— " And honesty so make that little punk pay and say hi to Sadie for me, I haven't seen her in weeks"
I nodded as Jackson and I made our way to the door. " Wait did you say weeks?"
" Yeah she showed up a few weeks ago with a couple bruises on her face from a current boyfriend i'm guessing so I told her she could crash here for a while" Rose sat her daughter down and looked at us as if we should've known.
I locked eyes with Jackson and together we sprinted for the car.

Someday, he’ll find where his family went. Someday, he’ll uphold his end of the bargain and hunt beings powerful beyond anything he’s ever known. Someday, he might even – hatch? “CHEEP!?” Things to Know: -Cheep!? Will release on a minimum weekly schedule. -After a backlog of chapters, posting will slow, but in the interim you can expect a chapter a day up until roughly 25 chapters. -This story at times will potentially carry some heavy moments, but the tone is intended to be lighter overall. -There are invisible game-like elements in this story, but nothing so concrete as a dedicated gamelit novel. -I personally have some issues with anxiety, so I may or may not interact with the community a lot. I'll try if anyone has questions, but I can't guarantee that it'll be consistent. -MC is a non-human lead, and will never actually become human. Romance will potentially happen between side-characters, but not with the MC. -MC IS NOT THE ONLY VIEW POINT. I have to put that out there because people sometimes hate alternate PoV's in a story. None of them will be filler, and they'll be there only to give a little bit more nuance and meaning to the world that the MC has stepped in, or is about to be imminently important. I'll try to keep them down, but this also helps to prevent me from burning out getting trapped in one view. -Most of all, I hope that this story is enjoyable to you, and that you have a great time reading it! -Written by Michael Adams, Cowritten/Edited by Summer Kent

When hell freezes over
An ancient seal has been broken and a forgotten power returns to the world gradually, upsetting the balance of normality. People used to say "I'll do that when hell freezes over" jokingly, but now that saying holds more weight in a changing world where people have to get used to the unusual. Ancient creatures hidden in the earth stir from their slumber of centuries, and humanity is not prepared for their ancient powers. Can the human race of steel and fire stand against the creatures created by the most ancient of powers? Is the human race pure enough to band together and form a closed fist as they did centuries ago? Find out in this adventure where Jacob starts off on his way on a normal day towards his job. "I get the feeling this story might be one of those 'diamonds in the rough'. The premise is quite solid, there's plenty of room to flesh out the characters. It's quite easy to get into and be engaged by at the moment, imo. I don't know where the story will go from here, but it's off to a good start me thinks." - Xenower Attribution: The cave picture in the book cover is made by Stanislav Sedov and is licensed under CC-BY-SA-2.0 https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/2.0/ This picture was modified from the original with an overlaid moon and sea picture to be found at https://www.flickr.com/photos/ssedov/26342569905 The photographer has no affiliation to Tschallacka nor can be held accountable for the use of this picture the way as it is here.

Falling Through the Cracks
After falling through a rather unexpected crack in the universe that spawned under his bed, Alex finds himself in a world filled with monsters and magic. Now instead of worrying about SATs and college applications, he only has demons, magic and rips though the very fabric of the universe to occupy his mind. Quite a bit easier in his opinion. This story has abuse, trama and brushes breifly on suicide. I`ll try to include warnings on chapters that deal heavily in any of those. I’m also a very new writer, so please let me know of any mistakes you see! Updates Mondays and Thursdays Image credit: Credit: NASA, JPL-Caltech/S.
