"Ugh, your bag is so heavy! What did you bring home?" Mason groans as he carries my bags into our apartment. He offered to carry them.

"I may have brought back a few things from home." I shrug. I just brought back a couple more outfits and things I received for Christmas.

"Can you at least open the door for me?" I nod and hold the door open. Mason waddles into the place and drops the bags in the middle of the floor. I'm not looking forward to unpacking all of that.

"I offered to help but you wouldn't let me."

"What kind of boyfriend would let his girl carry a heavy bag?" He grins causing me to roll my eyes. He's been throwing around that word ever since the plane incident.

"You're so cu-"

"Alex!" Before I knew it tackled to the ground. "I missed you so much!" I cough as the wind is knocked out of me.

"I missed you too Dylan." I giggle. He hugs me tightly. I'm just going to have to forget about breathing.

"Hey, can you please get off my girlfriend?" I look up to see Mason with his arms crossed and an annoyed look on his face. Cute. Dylan quickly let's go and jumps up. He helps me up as well.

"Oh I'm sor-"Dylan suddenly stops. He looks between me and Mason with a confused look. "You two?" He asks and then continues to look back and forth.

"Yes." Mason says and he walks over and wraps his arms around my waist, pulling me into his chest and resting his chin on the top of my head.

Dylan looks at us in awe. "That's kind of weird?" He says. "But I'm happy for you two!" His confused expression changed to a happy one.

"Who else knows?"

"Just you." I answer. He grins like he had just won something.

"I am so honored to be the first one to know. You guys are my best friends." He pulls us both into a hug. He was a hugger wasn't he.

"Dylan, please let go." Mason laughs. Dylan let's go and pats imaginary dust off of Mason.

"Knock knock." A voice called from the front door. "Wow Dyl, I thought we were best friends since I am your roommate." Cj fake pouts.

"Hey you're back." Cj smiles at me and then pulls me into a hug. He hugged me tightly for a while. I push lightly on his chest, trying to signal that I wanted him to let go. I guess he didn't get it.

"I miss you." He whispers. I give him a weird look. I held in a scoff and once again tried to push him off of me.

"Okay that's enough hugging!" Mason tugs at my hand. I push away from Cj with my other. Mason gives me a look. He was trying to ask me if I was okay. I nod so he'd know.

"Sorry I just missed yo-" he stops and notices Mason clutching my hand. Mason notices and then moves his hand so he could intertwine our fingers. I knew what he was doing. He was showing Cj that he missed his chance with me.

"Dude what the hell?" Cj glares at Mason shocked. "You're dating my ex? I thought we were friends? What about bros before hoes?"

Mason scoffs, "what are you, still in high school? No on uses that saying. And so what? You didn't want her remember. She was just to pass time." He knew about that? I never told him what Cj said.

"Whatever man, you still stole my ex!" He points at me. His eyebrows furrowed and I felt like he might swing at Mason.

I didn't understand why he was mad. He literally admit to not really liking me. Doesn't he have a girlfriend anyways?

"I didn't steal anything. She's your ex not like you are still together. Don't you have a girlfriend?"

"I do but that's not the poi-"

"Then why are you mad about me for dating Alex? The girl you missed out on."

"Well I," he began. "I don't know." He sighs in defeat. "It's just our relationship didn't last that long and I kind of blame myself."

"You were in love with someone else. It would have been wrong if we stayed together." I speak up.

"That's right. Well I should get going." He gives us a slight wave before leaving. I can hear him mumbling incoherent words.

"Well that was something." Mason sighs. He lets go of my hand and moves over to the couch to finally sit down.

"So what should we do?" Dylan plops down on the couch. Mason turns and gives him a look.

"You could leave? Just a suggestion." Mason shrugs.

"Now why would I do that? Oh! I know what we could do!" Dylan's eyes widen in excitement.

"A new diner opened up down the street from my parents house. We should go there for dinner it's already 5:30pm. It's also really good. I ate there a lot over break."

"I guess we could."

"Yes!"

"Told you this placed looked like it came out of the movie Grease!" I looked around in awe. Dylan was right! He described the whole place the whole ride here.

"Hi! Would you like a table, booth, or be seated at the bar?" A short Waitress stood in front of us holding three menus.

"Actually there's a lot more people comings. So we need like two tables." Dylan answers her. She nods with a smile and leads us to a table.

"Did you invite everyone?" Mason asks. We both had no idea. I had a bad feeling about this.

"Yep, well except Erica. I guess she's still in Florida."

For about 20 minutes we just sat there and talked. The waitress had brought us milkshakes and some fries to eat while we waited. I really liked the aesthetic in here.

The neon lights and checkered patterns made me happy. Not sure exactly why but, this place seemed like somewhere I could hangout all the time.

A bell rang causing my attention to move to the door. In walked in: Cj, Lacy, Lyndsey, and Marcus

"Hey, what's up!" Marcus shouts as he sits down in the seat next to Dylan. Cj follows him and the girls sit next to me. I'm kind of glad that Lyndsey sat next to me instead of Lacy. I might end up "accidentally" pushing her out of her chair.

"So are we just going to order a large pizza?" Someone suggests. We all nod in approval. I prayed that a pizza wouldn't take long. I wanted to get out of here as quick as possible. The air was already starting to feel thick.

"So how was everyone's break?" Lacy speaks. She stirs her tea and then takes a sip. "Anything new?"

"Break was fine." I mumble and then quickly take a drink of my vanilla milkshake.

"Or there's definitely something new-ow!" Dylan runs his arm where Mason hit him. He gives him the meanest glare I have ever seen on Masons face. It was quite scary.

"What's wrong Mason? Secrets down make friends." Lacy smiles at him. So now she wasn't going to act cold towards him?

"It's none of your business Lacy." Mason sneers. Marcus pats his shoulder and tells him to chill. If only he knew.

"Just tell me what's new, I thought we were all friends here." She whines.

"No it's my business not yours."

"Mason and Alex are dating!" Cj confesses for us. Mason and I look at him wide eyed. Cj looks between us and narrows his eyes.

"What!" Lacy yells.

"Cj what the hell man!" Mason yells. He stands up from the table. Oh god, we're all going to cause a scene.

"Friends don't date each other's ex's!" He argues.

"I thought you were over that!"

"I am! But Lacy and Alex are best friends!"

"Um I think your wrong there." Dylan glares at him.

"Were you not there when she called Alex a bitch and went crazy ex on her?!"

"Hey I'm not crazy!"

"I beg to differ!" I scoff.

She reaches in front of Lacy and grabs ahold on my hair. I cringe as she pulls on it hard. "You're a little bitch, you know that." She seethed. Suddenly I feel something cold cover my head.

She had dumbed her tea all over me. Without thinking, I grab ahold of her wrist tightly. I manage to get her to let go of my hair. Once her hand is off I tighten my grin even more.

"Ow, let go!" She begs. I tighten my grip even more and she lets out a hiss.

"Alright! All of you out of my diner!" I gasp as the manager pulls my hand way. "You all are band from ever coming in here ever again!"

So much for being a place that I could come hangout at.
