Truth or dare has been pretty uneventful. Helen hasn't lost her suspicious smirk seen Ryder, Molly and I walked in and took our seats on the ground

I agree, childish right?

"Talia truth or dare?" One of Helens 'friends' smirks after Helen whispers something to her

"Truth" I say not in the mood for their shit

"Bore" Cammy rolls her eyes but Helens smirk only grows

"Did you and Ryder ever sleep together or was that also a lie?"

"Also?"

"Cammy told us how you lied about your past to guilt trip her into being your friend"

I roll my eyes and swallow the vodka in front of me in one gulp "I never lied"

"About either?" Helen smirks

"Ask Ryder" I say looking at the boy beside me who looks anything but happy about the grilling I'm getting judging by the death glare Helens getting "Cammy would you mind saying that to my face?"

Cammys eye twitches

"Her right eye twitches when she's about to tell a lie, take notes, it'll happen a lot" I smirk

"I can also confirm she never lied about sleeping with me" Ryder adds with his own smirk "I mean those skills"

I throw a wink to a steaming Helen

The game continues on for another while and by the time my interest is peaked again Ryder and I had taken multiple turns in getting the next round of drinks

"Sean truth or dare?" Dani grins

"Dare"

"I dare you to give the girl your most interested in a hickey" she smirks and her eyes snap to Molly briefly

As expected Sean walks over to Molly and leans down behind her and moves her hair out of his way

Ryder and I exchange suspicious looks "that was done with ease" he whispers to me

I nod and whisper back 'it couldn't have been that easy if it was the first time"

"Suspicious"

Once Sean returns to his seat Molly looks over at me and I throw her a wink, to which she responds with a cheeky grin

"Cammy truth or dare" Helen says after a few minutes and they both grow scheming smiles

"Dare"

"I dare you to kiss" she looks around the circle to build apprehension "Ryder"

Cammy smirks and stands up

I roll my eyes and down yet another glass of vodka

Everyone's eyes are on Ryder and I. Dani and Molly look like they want to throw punches. Sean looks like he doesn't know what to do. Lorena with her boyfriend and Shay found tonight's hook up. And Ryder?

"Fuck this" he swallows his drink whole and stands up "I'm not playing your stupid games Helen and you" he turns his attention to Cammy "do you ever think about anyone but yourself? Because you will end up alone"

And the he leaves

"Ryder wait up" I shout once I get outside. I lost him between the cluster of people on the dance floor and he obviously couldn't hear me calling his name over the music "Ryder!"

I grab his arm once I catch up to him and spin him around so that he's facing me. He runs his hand through his hand, which reminds me I'm still wearing his cap, but I don't do anything about it.

He doesn't say anything instead his hand rests on my cheek and he pulls me towards him. Our lips connect in a passionate kiss. He bites my lip causing me to open my mouth, which is exactly what he wanted, and our tongues clash in a battle for dominance. His left hand runs soothingly up and down my back while my hands instinctively run through his hair

After a few seconds he breaks the kiss and stands back. He runs his hands across his face "I shouldn't have done that"

"It didn't seem like I had a problem with it"

"I know but.... your drunk, I'm drunk and we're friends"

I scoff "I'm hardly past tipsy and I know you can hold your alcohol. Are we friends or do we just act like it because everyone seems to notice if we even look at each other differently"

"And when it goes wrong?" He asks "I can't lose you even if that means we can't be more than friends"

"There's no changing your mind" I huff, surprising myself with my sudden reality check that Ryder and I will never be just friends and the fact that I'm so alright about it

He smirks "before we go back to being only friends I want to let you know you look sexy as hell in that outfit"

I grin "You don't look so bad yourself Smith"

"You going back in?" I ask him

He shakes his head "nah I'm just going to call Mike, he told me he'd pick me up. You need a ride?"

"That'd be good" I say sending Molly a quick message "I'm sure Sean and Molly are just about all over each other right about now"

Ryder laughs "they're never going to hear the end of this"

"You two wait up!" Sean shouts just as he finishes his sentence. I turn around to see Molly and Sean running towards us "Are you guys leaving?"

We both nod

"Can we get a ride too"

"Where are ye going, Mollys or yours?" Ryder smirks

"Seans" Molly replies. Ryder and I exchange surprised looks "no you idiots our own houses"

Sean laughs "you should've seen their faces"

"Oh whatever"

I stir awake the next morning with the worst headache which probably had something to do with the fact that once I got home last night I decided to feel sorry for myself and drink our house out of alcohol.

Bad idea, I know that now.

My phone buzzes and I pick it up to see a message from Molly

I'm picking you up in an hour and we're going to the beach, be ready

I huff to myself and throw the covers off me. Obviously Molly picks today of all days to go to the beach. I have a shower, blow dry and straighten my hair but decide against make up. Thankfully my headache has eased slightly thanks to the ibuprofen I took before my shower. I decide on wearing a mint green bikini and the same necklaces as last night.

Molly text a few minutes later to let me know she was outside

"Hey" I say getting into her car after leaving my bag in the back

"You look hot!" She grins giving me a once over

"As do you" I say looking at her hot pink bikini. Her hairs in a messy bun and she also opted for no makeup.

"How was the rest of your night?" She asks once she's taken off "you didn't say much in the car last night"

I grin "that could have something to do with the fact, the boys were too busy arguing over who's music was better"

We get to the beach a few minutes later. Because of the temperature the beach was packed with people of all ages. We pick a spot and put our towels down

"So now that we're not surrounded by boys, how are you feeling about Seans new addition on your neck?" I grin

Molly puts her hand to her neck where the hickey she tried to cover is. After a few seconds she gives up and drops it "I won't lie, I definitely enjoyed it"

"So you were tempted to go home with him last night?"

"Duh, but we're just friends, that's what we're good at"

"Uhh not this just friends thing again" I complain putting my arms over my face to block the sun, because I'm lying on my back

"Do explain"

"We kissed last night"

"You and Ryder?"

I nod still not taking my arms from face "anyway he pulls away a few seconds later claiming he shouldn't have kissed me and that he doesn't want to lose our friendship and don't get me wrong, either do I but I don't think we can just be friends either" She doesn't say anything so I turn my head to look at her "what?"

"I told you, you were falling-"

"Falling?" Someone blocks the path of sun from my vision

I look up to see Ryder standing on front of me holding a beach ball

I nod "mhm, I slipped on the way over, Molly told me I was going to slip"

"Sorry we're late" Sean says after walking up and standing beside Molly

Ryder throws the beach ball towards me which I catch which ease. Molly and Sean delve into their own conversation

"You look hot" Ryder takes an unsubtle approach of checking me out "and also like you had rough night"

I use my arms to sit the top half of my body up. Ryder sits down on the bottom of my towel "that probably has something to do with the fact that I got drunk because I got rejected"

"Hardly rejected"

"I beg to differ" I joke

I take the opportunity to check Ryder out. He's wearing a grey T-shirt and red swimming trunks

Ryder grabs the top of his T-shirt and pulls it over his head

"Lets go" he says picking up the beach ball "I won basketball and I'm about to beat you at beach ball too"

"Game on"
