I tried my best to process the information. Becks watched me questioningly. Like she was scared I was going to burst. "You ok??" She asked.

I looked at her worried face and smiled. It's just a lot to process. "Is everyone ok? Are you ok?" I asked. I reached out and touched her cheek. She smiled and nodded.

"Remember, I fought side by side with the boys for years. Just cause I've been out of practice for awhile doesn't mean I can't still whoop some ass." She said. I giggled.

A moment of silence set between us. "So what now?" I asked. The boys probably wouldn't let this go. Thomas overstepped by messing with there dads property.

She stayed quiet for awhile. "Probably not, but it's nothing for you to worry about. Mr. Mancini said he would handle it. It was a very....strange encounter but yeah everything will be handled." She said her voice became shaky once she mentioned Mr. Mancini.

"How did that go?" I said.

"Well....let's just say it went better than I thought. I know Mr. M doesn't hate me but you can tell he doesn't feel comfortable around me. Especially, when I'm around Mike." She said sadly.

Before I could say anything dads voice come from the door again. "Hey kids, you got more guests." He's said but his voice sounded a lot more tense from when he said it before.

"More?" I yelled back.

"Come on in boys." Dad said from down stairs. Me and Be is looked at each other with shocked eyes.

"They are not-" i was cut off by Mikes voice.

"Hello sir. We heard about what was going on with Loni and wanted to check up on her and brought her some work from the class she missed." Mike said with a pleasant voice.

"Oh my jesus they are actually here!" I whisper yelled. I look over at Becks and she began to visibly get nervous at the sound of Mikes voice.

I looked at her questioningly. "There's something your not telling me? I've never seen you this nervous ever. What is it?" I asked.

She looked at me and then at the door. We could here my dad and the boys talking downstairs, but ignored there voices. "Well...." She said sheepishly.

"Well what?" I asked. Her eyes locked in mine.

"Me and Mike slept together." She said.

"What!?" I yelled, my jaw was to the floor.

"Girls? Everything alright?" Dad yelled.

"Yeah, we'll be down in a minute." I said. I could just imagine what my dad was talking to them about. Especially, if the looked liked they just got out of a brawl. I pushed my thoughts aside and looked back a Becks.

"When did this happen?!" I asked.

"After we got back from the party." She said with a grimace.

"So your telling me you dropped all that info on me and just glazed over the fact you slept with Mike of all people." I almost screamed again.

"I was getting to it." Her voice came out small. "That's not all. I kind of left him while he was sleep and texted him saying it was a mistake." I looked at her wide eyes.

"Rebecca." I said shocked.

"Not the fool name." She grimaced again.

"Rebecca." I was at a loss of words.

"I know. I know. I panicked. I didn't know what to do. But last night after the tension we had with his dad. He seemed upset and I was definitely upset. We were both in such a vulnerable place. And I just wanted to make him feel better and one thing led to another. We ended up sleeping in, when I woke up he was still sleep. And with out thinking I just up and left. Wrote the text and made my way here." She rambled

I looked at her in awe. "Rebecca."

"Please say anything else beside my name." She asked.

"Becks." I said still in awe.

A sudden knock at the door caught our attention. "Girls?" My dad said from the other side of the door.

Becks scrambled to put her hood over her head. One she was secure I called out to my dad to come in.

"Hey. You guys ok?" He asked. Looking at me and Becks. We both nodded.

He looked at us questioningly but said nothing else. "Okay. The boys are waiting for you downstairs." He said and began to turn and shout the door.

Me and Becks visibly relaxed.

"By the way," he said opening the door again, marking me and Becks jump. "The boys already told me everything, so you don't have to cover up kiddo. And even if they didn't tell me, I had already knew something was wrong. I was gonna ask you when first saw you but you seemed in a rush to speak to Nemo, so I was gonna ask at dinner." He said with a sheepish smile.

"Well it wasn't-" before Becks could finish, dad held up his hand.

"Listen, I've been in a few high school brawls myself. All I ask is that, you be safe and careful. I know you and the boys can handle yourselves but your still kids." He said with a smile.

She nodded her head. Dads eyes then moved over to me and then his gaze moved back to her and his expression changed. "I'm gonna tell you the same thing I told the boys downstairs. I don't mind that you guys got into a fight. With the boys background and yours as well, I would encourage you to defend yourselves of you ever felt threatened." I looked at him questioningly. What is he talking about?

"However, if any harms comes to my daughter because of any of you, I will take matters in my own hands wether she likes it or not." He said with a strict tone.

"Dad!?" I screamed.

"Yessir." Becks said in response.

"I mean no disrespect. But after the last few days, I'm gonna have to stop being fun dad and put my foot down on a few things. Your safety is my only concern." He said with a sheepish smile.

My heart couldn't help but weep as I am reminded of all dad has been through for me. I just nodded my head weakly in agreement.

"I promise, with me and the boys as her friends, Loni is the safest girl in the god forsaken town." She says enthusiastically. She was prolly trying to cut the tension in the room. He nodded at her with his usual bright smiles.

"Now, come downstairs, ladies. Your boyfriends await you." He said once again in valley girl accent. And I couldn't help giggle.

He shut the door behind him and the room was suddenly so silent. I looked over at Becks and saw a look of uncertainty in her face.

"What's wrong?" I asked.

"You know, I would never put you in harms way right? I literally would allow myself to devoured by la Llorona before I even imagined it." She said. There was sense of worry in her voice.

"Of course. To be honest, I was worried that you wouldn't want to stay friends with the sick girl. You know too much baggage." I said. And it was the truth. After everything that happened I was scared that all of them would do that to be honest. It's no secret that I have a little bit of abandonment issues thanks to that woman. But thanks to my dad always being there I never really thought on it too much, but it's still there. That insecurity always lingers in the back of mine. That people will leave me because my sickness is too much for them. To be honest, I don't think that feeling would ever go away.

"Girl, you think that's baggage. Compared to everyone in this town, you are as normal and as lively as they come. And I love you for it." She smiled.

"Good. Cause I think your stuck with me chica." I said, forcing myself to fight back the tears that were trying to surface.

"Si, mi amor. Mi hermana. Forever." She said openeing her arms to me. I leaned into her and we embraced in a tight hug.

"Don't think your off the hook for the Mike thing, tho." I said while still hugging her. A laugh left her lips, and I couldn't help but chuckle to myself.

"I know. I know."
