《His Name Was Tate》change of plan

When we arrived at the house we were welcomed by a smiling John. He was such sweet old man. Not really sure how he got roped up into being the butler to these two beautiful assholes.
"Hello boys. Hello Ms.Meloni. Your father is in the kitchen. And boys your fathers in the study. He's expecting you." He said. The two boy stiffened at the mention of there father.
"I'll take Ms. Meloni to her father and-" Tate cut John off.
"She'll be staying to finish up some class work." He said in a monotoned voice.
"Sir is that wise? Your fathe-" John was cut off by Mike this time. "She stays. We have to finish this project. It's like 20 percent of our grade." He said.
John reluctantly agreed. "Well, after talking to your father, I'll escort you to the place you went last time." He said with a small smile. We all nodded in agreement.
"I'll be back in 20." Tate said as he and his brother headed down the hallway I went down last time. I watched as the two tensed brothers walked side by side and disappeared around the corner.
"This way, Ms.Meloni." John said as he gestured in the opposite direction. We walked down an equally long corridor. We soon turned and I was met with the world largest kitchen. It was kind of set up like a habachi grill place. As if someone could come in and watch my dad and other staff members cook.
"Why is it so big?" I said aloud. John chuckled to himself. "I thought the same thing when I first started working here. Mr. Mancini, being the powerful man he is, often has guest of for business deals and such. So to make things less boring as he puts it, he'll bring them in here to watch there food get prepared. It's more of fun party trick or something of conversation starter. It helps liven up the mood."

I gawked I'm awe at the beautiful kitchen and the four people in it. One guy was adding seasoning to something, some lady was cooking some steaks I believe and the other lady cutting veggies. Then my eyes landed on my dad. He stood in a white uniform, with his white hat as he tasted a dish the guy was working on. "Add some parsley, a little more salt, and dash of paprika, and you'll be good to go."
"Yes chef." The guy said. And continued with his work.
He turned and his eyes were set on me. "Sweetie, what are you doing here? Is everything ok? Are you ok? Is there an emergency? Should I-" he said as he rushed over to me complete ignoring John. I watched John move away from us and make his way through some doors, leaving me and my dad by ourselves
My dad grabbed my cheeks and began looking me over. I couldn't help but smile. He was so cute when he worried.
"Dad!? I'm fine. Me and Tate have to finish up our project, and you kind of left me stranded at school. So Tate offered me a ride since I was gonna come later." I teased
"Aww. I'm sorry sweetie. I meant to tell you i was gonna be a little late. But I got a little held up. I'll be done in a bit, what time are you guys gonna finish up? I can come back and pick you up." He said.
I smiled up at him. "Probably an hour or two. I'll text when I'm ready. And if not I can always get Tate to take me home." I said. He nodded.
"Chef!" The guy yelled.
My dad turned to him. "I'll be right there." He turned back to me and gave me quick kiss on the fore head, and the leaned down to my ear. "You have your meds and you emergency inhaler on you?" He asked. I nodded at him questioningly.

"Good. Use them. For me, please. You look paler than usual. You've had a few attacks today hadn't you?" I was gonna lie and say no but when I looked into his eyes and saw the worry, I couldn't bring myself to do it.
I nodded. He took a breath. "If your stressed, tired, or anything of that matter tell me ok? And if not that, please at least take the proper precautions to take care of yourself. I know the doctor said we can try slowly taking you off of these, but slowly is the key word ok? Don't rush it if your bodies not ready." He kissed me on my forehead once more.
"Alright I'm off to work. I'll text you when I leave and you let me know when I need to pick you up." He said and walked back over to the guy.
John soon appeared by my side again with a tray filled with snacks. "Where'd you go?" I asked
"The walk in fridge. I wanted to get you and Master Tate some snacks and drinks so you two wouldn't have to run back in forth between the kitchen and the lounge." He said. They have a walk in fridge!? How much money do these people have?
I followed John back to the lounge area from last time. When he opened the door Tate was sitting down on the couch with his head laid back. Like he was in deep thought about something troubling.
"Change of plans. We are gonna go to my studio upstairs." He said. He stood and walked over to us and took the tray from John. "That'll be all John. Thank you." He said. John nodded and gave me a quick smile before leaving.
I looked back at Tate. "So why the sudden change of plan?" I asked curiously. He shrugged his shoulders and began heading out the door and I followed.

Needletongue, Carrotcake
The world isn't fair. If anything, the inherent injustice of the world is what separates it from the fiction we so adore. Luis Freighthold knew this all too well, and that was why it took a bit longer than it should have to realise when he suddenly had everything he could ever have wanted. Raised in a working-class single-father home, Luis had no other escape than fiction. Specifically, vampire stories of varying quality and genre. There was something appealing about the ability to fly, turn into shadows and become smoke. Danger. An unfamiliarity with the social world that rejected him so. Was it so wrong for him to hope for a different life? Maybe, maybe not. Either way, now he had it—a lust for blood and abilities beyond the understanding of civil man. Could you really say that he had anything left to complain about? A vampire story following an unconventional vampire boy forced to accept that maybe becoming a vampire doesn't magically solve all your problems. As a matter of fact, it might just make a whole bunch of them even worse. Regardless, Luis is prepared to try everything to live up to the vampire books he had previously gorged on. What did it matter that his vampire form had no teeth, replaced instead by a long, needle-tipped tongue? He was still a vampire, wasn't he? Chapters are around 10 A4 pages long, releasing once a week on Mondays, 01:00 CET.
