《His Name Was Tate》spill

Rebecca had finally finished dinner and it was delicious and well worth the wait. She had made authentic Mexican tacos, with homemade salsa. And as a person who had never tried it, I can say it was a great introduction. She even had my dad impressed, and he a professional chef. He was basically having foodgasm right in front of us and it was quite strange.

"Oh my heavens. Rebecca, my dear. You killed this. What type of seasoning did you put on the meat and in the broth? I can't quite get one of the flavors." He asked excitedly. She giggled to herself.

"See it would be my abuelas secret recipe if I told you now would it. However, the key to making the meat soft and juicy is letting it sit on that stove after you turn the heat off for five minutes. The slow decrease in the heat on the stove just does something to the meat." My father took a mental not and began eating again. I swear there nothing Rebecca couldn't do. She so strong, sweet, funny, has great taste in music, and she can cook. I truly couldn't understand why those boys just up and left her like that.

After we finished eating my dad made his way to his room and me and Becks made our way to the den. "You sleep here?"she asked with awe in her tone. I shook my head no.

"My room is being renovated so this is where we are sleeping tonight. There's only one bed, I hope your ok with sleeping I the same bed as me." I told her.

"Oh that's fine. I'm down with whatever. So has it always been you and your dad?" She asked. I nodded quietly.

" My mom left us when I was young. I guess she didn't want the responsibility to be a mother so she dumped all the parenting on my dad. Big I'm not complaining. My dad is literally super man in my eyes. He can do no wrong." I said.

She smiled. "I feel the same about my aunt. She I literally everything to me. I really don't know what I would do with out her." She said with a sad smile. "Anyways, let's stop talking about this sad shit and get to the fun stuff, si?" She said energetically.

I nodded my head. "Let's get changed into our PJs and then I can tell you all about the lovely conversation me and your bestie Tate had." I said as I grabbed my clothes from off the bed. She rolled her eyes.

"Whatever you say Mildred." She laughed. I playfully glared at her. I contemplated calling her Becky, but I stopped myself, because I knew it held a heavier meaning.

"Did you want me to change in here, or in the bathroom?" She asked. She seemed nervous while asking the question. I smiled to ease whatever feeling she was feeling.

"It doesn't matter to me, we're both girls aren't we?" I said with a smile. She nodded her head with a small smile. We began to change into pjs and we sat down on the pull out bed in a kriss kross apple sauce position, while facing each other.

"So, share all the deets? Give me the tea!? I'm all ears." She said excitedly. I looked at her strangely. "Why the hell are you so excited? I thought you told me to stay away from them." I said questioningly.

"That is true. But when I thought on it. I know you like him and I'm not gonna stand in the way of your crush. I will support you 100 percent. Now, spill."

I told her everything and of course all she could do was laugh. "It's not funny." She wiped the fake tears from her eyes before she responded.

"My friend, that was some George Lopez or Kevin Hart type of comedy right there. Out of all the boys, he was always the meanest to girls. But to be honest he was mean to everyone." She said after calming down.

"Why be mean to me? I didn't do anything?" I said.

"I mean you do kind of gawk at him, babe." She responded. I rolled my eyes immediately.

"I wasn't the only one staring. There was literally a class filled with girls gawking and eye fucking all three of them. I was just the only one he had accidentally made eye contact with." I said loudly.

"Okay, then what about the diner. You basically eye raped him the whole time?" She said slyly. I honestly didn't even think she was paying attention to me. I didn't really have an excuse on that one.

"Well...I mean....you try being that close to one of the hottest guys school and not stare at him." I said as my cheeks began to turn red. Alright I can admit I may have a bit of a staring problem, but there was no need for him to act like he didn't know who I was as a response.

"Hottest?" She said with an arched brow.

"And who do you think is the hottest?" I asked

"Of course Kyle." She said with a wide smile. I rolled my eyes at her response. For his first impression, he did a trash ass job. "Speaking of Kyle. I was talking to him before I came and he told me that he was having a big Halloween fiesta at his place next month. And I was hoping-" before she could finish I cut her off with a firm no.

"What why?" She asked with a sad smile. I felt bad but I really couldn't go it was one of the only conditions I made with my dad.

"Por favor! I beg of you. Don't make me walk into that lions den alone." She said practically on her hands and knees. Stay strong Loni. I shook my head no again.

"I can't. Why don't you go alone? I'd probably be a party pooper anyway." I said. She shook her head firmly.

"If you don't go I won't go. It won't be the same with out my bestie there. But I would really like to go. Just think we could go in matching Halloween outfits. Do each other's makeup and stuff. Take a few pick before the party. Then dance the night away. So? Please?" She looked at me with her chocolate eyes with a pouty face and I couldn't help but fold.

"Fine. I'll talk to my dad about it. But it's not guaranteed." I said. A big smile spread across her face and she jumped into my arms with joy.
