《His Name Was Tate》let me in

We finally pulled up to her house. It was a beautiful light blue color. It wasn't to small or wasn't to big. It was very pretty. I always lived houses that sized, I hated places with big energy spaces. I could tell by the driveway that there was a car there. It looked familiar.

"You house is beautiful." I said looking at in awe. It truly is adorable. She smiled. "Thanks. I'm gonna run these in and ask my aunt if she could put them up, while we go out to eat. Cool?" I nodded my head. She pulled the four bags out the trunk and ran into the house. She quickly ran back out and hopped into the car. "You ready for some food?" I nodded my head excitedly.

We drove for another 10 minutes until we finally pulled up to a diner called Let me in. It reminded me of those diners from the 50's, like from the movie Grease. "Have you been here yet?"she asked. I shook my head no, but oh my god I was ready for some food.

"Great, well then let's just consider this our first girl date?"she said clapping her hands. I nodded. We made our way out the car and to the diner. It was so much cooler inside. The theme was like a race track and the retro vibe was really speaking to me. And as soon as you opened the front door the smell of fries and burgers hits your nose like a semi truck. "Oh my god it smells like heaven." I moaned. My stomach agrees with me.

"Hello Becky, I see you have a friend here tonight?" Said the woman at the front desk. She looked middle aged. She wore her hair in a Maryln Monroe styled due, but instead of blonde she was a red head. You could tell she was from the Deep South due to her accent.

"Loni, this is Ms. Rowland. The owner of this joint."she introduced us. Ms. Rowland reached out her hand to me. "Well it is a pleasure to meet you dear."

I grabbed her hand and nodded. "Likewise."

"Is it just going to be you two lovely ladies tonight?" She asked with a big smile. I'm honestly amazed at how her bright red lipstick did not rub all over her teeth.

"Of course! And can we have my usual booth?" Rebecca asked. The lady nodded her head and gathered a two menus in her hand. "Follow me."

We followed behind her quietly. We made our way to the corner of the restaurant. There was a red booth that was in the middle. It was set where we could see the entrance and the kitchen door. We could basically see everything from where we sat. We sat down and the ladies slid us both a menu.

"Now how about I start you two off with something to drink?" Ms. Rowland asked.

"Two sweet teas. They make the best sweet teas here." Becks said with a smile plastered on her face. I nodded my head in response.

"Okay. I'll be right back with your drinks."

I looked around the restaurant and noticed that there werent many people here. "So, how you like it?" She asked.

"It looks dope. And it really quiet." I said "There aren't a lot of people here."

"Yeah. They are more of a breakfast place, rather than a dinner place. But that's why I like coming here for dinner. Less people to bother me." She said.

Ms. Rowland was back with the teas. As she sat the down the bells on the door began to ring like they did when we first walked in. Me and Rebecca both looked at the door and our mouths dropped.

"Are you fucking shitting me!"

Well tonight is about to get a little more interesting.
