Camilo abruptly woke up. He sat up and looked around. There in a desk laid the roses you gave him last night.
His face brightened, "So it was true!" He smiled.
He walked down the stairs with a bright grin. He helped out more than he normally did which made the family confused.
"Dude, are you okay?" Mirabel asked, poking Camilo's shoulder, "Who are you and what have you done with our Camilo?"
Camilo chuckled, shrugging up the shoulder Mirabel had been poking, "It's nothing."
Mirabel didn't buy it. How could she with that lovestruck grin on his face. It got her thinking, she tapped her finger on her chin then it clicked.
"So you and Y/N~?" She asked, leaning into Camilo's personal bubble as she sat next to him. His face is bright pink at the mention of your name. "What about them?" He said, clearing his throat with a straight face. He picked up a pupusa de chicharrón biting into it, he turned his upper body towards Mirabel using his elbow as support. He took another bite.
"Has anything happened between the two of you lately?" Mirabel questioned taking a bite out of her pupusa de queso.
Camilo looked off to the side, "I dont know." He said with a smirk.
Mirabel narrowed her eyes at her cousin, she gave him the same smirk, "Oh good, here I was thinking the two of you started to date. Good thing you guys totally aren't." She lied.
Camilo choked on his spit shapeshifting into you then Mirabel. He shapeshifted back to himself looking over at Mirabel offended, "For your information we are dating! And soon enough we're going to get married! And we will last forever!" Camilo shot. He pursed his lips biting onto his bottom lip flinching at how he reacted.
"You and Y/N are what?" Abula repeated.
Camilos nostrils flared, 'Oh I fucked up.'
You wiped your hands on your lap for the twentieth time.

You were over at the Madrigals with your family for dinner. You looked over at your mom and Abula getting along great.
You looked up, seated right across Camilo's family and you swallowed your spit hard. You were too scared to eat, getting the feeling that they were judging your every move.
You felt Camilo's hand reach on top of yours giving it a slight squeeze. You turned your hand over giving his hand the same squeeze when Camilo laced your fingers together. "Just relax, mi cariño." He whispered in your ear.
You took a deep breath and slowly took a bite out of your food. You tried to ignore the stares you got.
Camilo motioned for them to stop staring since they were making you uncomfortable.
They didn't get the message.
You knew all of the powers the family had, who didn't?
It only made you more nervous when you saw a little cloud appear above Pepas head.
On Pepas' side of the table, she sat there with a grin on her face, "Calm down, mi vida." Felix said, noticing the cloud above her head.
Your eyebrows knitted, did you do something wrong?
Pepa took notice and looked above her seeing the cloud. She began to play with her hair and mumble, "Clear skies," over and over.
You raised your eyebrows as you and Pepa made eye contact, "Y-Your fine!" You said with a crooked grin, you hoped she got the memo that she didn't need to control her powers around you, but it seems like she didn't when she gave you a confused look.
Your face falls as you look around seeing everyone staring at you. Blushing out of embarrassment, you look down and begin to eat more.
You and Camilo quietly talked to each other talking about how you couldn't do it, while Camilo kept smiling at you telling you to just be yourself and relax.
"Easy for you to say." You mumbled covering up your face. Camilo gently grabbed your forearms, pulling them apart to reveal your face. "Come on, did I react like this when I met your parents?" Camilo mumbled back, raising a brow. "No." You said sitting up straight. "You're right, I'm not gonna let you win like this." You said taking a sip of your drink, "Now who said this was a contest?" Camilo chuckled, poking your side. You smiled over hearing the conversation your mom and Ablua Alma were having.

"And for their wedding—"
You began to choke on the water you were drinking.
Your sister smiled at Camilo's family nudging you, "Just breathe." She said through her smile. You gasped for air, sitting up straight again. You closed your eyes, sitting and looking as elegant as you could. You apologized, returning to eat.
Camilo placed his hand on your thigh, he asked if you were okay. You nodded your head as you continued to eat, brushing him off. You were way past the word embarrassed, the word couldn't even begin to describe what you felt right now.
"Thank you."
You look up at what Pepa had said to you. She gives you a warm smile. You feel yourself start to blush. You slowly nodded your head, "For what?" You asked slightly, tilting your head to the side. "For dating him." Mirabel teased, Dolores kicked her from underneath the table. You watched the two with wide eyes, there was a small smile on your face as you looked back at Pepa, your smile continued to grow as you looked at her. "I'm sorry." You said bringing a hand up to apologize while you used the other to cover up your mouth as you began to laugh.
The family looked at each other once you calmed down, "Continue?" You smiled politely, "She has a point but anyways," Pepa paused knowing you were holding back another laugh, you brought your hand back up as an apology as you began to laugh harder. Dolores, Mirabel continued to add comments making you laugh harder, you tapped the table in defeat.
You sat up right, wiping a tear from your eye holding onto your stomach in pain. "I'm so sorry." You giggled. "You're fine." Pepa smiled, "Finally you're relaxed." She added, "I just wanted to thank you for sticking with him after what he'd done. I think you'll fit in with this family." She smiled.
You let out an airy giggle, "Thank you ma'am." You blushed.
You turned towards Camilo, "Your moms so pretty, what the heck." You mumbled. "Correction, your mother-in-law." Camilo corrected. You pushed him "Stop," You whined covering your face, "It's too much." You said, uncovering your face, "Correction, you're too much." You mocked him, laughing at your own joke, you covered your mouth as Camilo crossed arms and pouted lips then turned into a smile as he rolled his eyes.
"I hate you." He mumbled.
"As if" You smiled, poking his cheek, "You love~ me." You teased him.
He turns to face you, grabbing your cheek, "I can't help it." He said pulling on your cheeks as you repeatedly tapped on Camilo's forearms in defeat.
You rubbed your cheek, "I'm sorry mi vida." Camilo said, kissing your cheek. "Being all cutesy in front of your parents I see, shame would never be like that for me in 20 years after we're married." You jokingly said. "Who said I wouldn't? I'll forever be like this towards you, love." Camilo said, looking at you as if he were being serious.
"Oh please no, that would be so cringy, please." You jokingly cringed. "Too late." Camilo smirked, "No." You giggled, laying your hand on Camilo's shoulder as you faced him, while laying your head on his shoulder.
