Sofia blushed, she couldn't talk, she couldn't breathe.
Miguel was close to her face after having cornered her to a wall. She closed her eyes, pressing her back and head as far away as she could from Miguel.
"Come on! You were talking perfectly fine earlier!" Miguel teased chuckling as Sofia slipped away from the corner she was stuck in. She sped walked towards the exit softly yelling as Miguel grabbed her wrists.
She was faced with Miguel's bright smile as he stared into Sofias eyes. Her nostrils flared. "I-I really can't." She said averting her eyes, moving her head to the side.
"Oh but you can." Miguel said, making a cute face. Sofia blushed. She sighed, "Oh but I can't." She looked down trying to break free of Miguel's grip as he pinned her wrists to her sides.
"Why can't you talk to me normally?!" Miguel whined letting go of Sofias wrist. She tried to walk away but stopped with Miguel's hands cupped around her cheeks.
He forced her to look at him. He smirked, "Talk to me like a human being from here on out and I'll let you go. Until then, I guess you're just going to be stuck here..." He leaned in closer, "With me."
Sofias breath quickened, "I can't!" She yelled for what felt like the millionth time. "Why?" Miguel teasingly yelled back.
"Because!" Sofia said, placing her hands on top of Miguel's trying to break free. It was taking everything in her to not faint.
She whined about not being able to pry open his hands. She gave up slumping down, making a noise on her way down. He had no choice but to let one hand go wrapping it around her waist as he gently guided her to the ground, he followed as well.
"Because why?" He said with a soft chuckle. Sofia pouted, letting her head fall limp. It fell forward onto Miguel's chest, too lost in thought to notice.
Miguel blushed as he tilted her head up as he looked down.
She mumbled something that he couldn't hear.
"What?" He smiled leaning down. "Because I..." She mumbled a bit louder.
"I'm sorry but I can't hear you. Can you repeat that?" Miguel asked, his smile turning brighter, he began to blush harder.
"Because I like you, okay?!" She yelled, Miguel jumped at the sudden noise.
He turned his face to look down at Sofia, his face grew hotter realizing how close he was from her face.

Sofia carefully opened one eye before opening the other.
Her nose flared again, "Hm." She squeaked.
Miguel shocked with a smile plastered on his face, and Sofia with eyes that were wider than the ocean; both of their faces flamed up looking away from each other.
Sofia sat up two, maybe three steps away from Miguel who was right where he was rethinking his life choices as he stared at his hands with a grin still in his face.
"I-I'm sorry." He stuttered, this was because of him after all.
"You can continue not talking to me if you decide to. I won't force it out of you anymore." He smiled getting up, his face was still red and it burned.
He quickly left as Sofia was left there on the ground. "Huh?" She quickly said not being able to process what had just happened.
She looked down at her hands and gently placed her fingertips in her cheeks where Miguel held her cheeks. Her mouth twitched downwards before turning in a bright smile.
"Well now I'm motivated too." She smiled, answering Miguel's statement he said before he left with determination in her eyes.
Sofia roamed along the streets of her town.
Was she looking for Miguel?
Not really...
She knew that if she did run into him in any case, she would be ready.
She stopped walking stuck in thought.
'Wait a sec.' She thought looking down, her bottom lip jutting out.
'I confessed to him and he ran away...'
"Sofia"
'Why was I going to go talk to him?'
"Sofia?"
'He never gave me an answer and ran away, does that mean he doesn't feel the same way?'
"Sofia."
'What would I even say to him if I do see him? He basically rejected me!'
"Sofia!"
'What am I trying to do, get a direct rejection?!'
"Sofia! Hello?!"
'What was I thinking?!'
"Sofia!" Miguel grabbed her shoulders and shook her out of shock. "Are you okay? I had been calling you but you didn't respond! Are you feeling okay?" He asked, placing a hand on her forehead before feeling his own.
"N-No I'm fine! I was just thinking." Sofia confessed nervously, chuckling as Miguel backed up. "Thinking about what?"
Sofia looked up at him to see his confused look.
She blushed as she looked to the side, "Oh nothing." She lied.

"Mhm." Miguel said, raising an eyebrow, "I don't really need to know, but anyone could tell you were lying a mile away." He deadpanned, crossing his arm.
Sofia opened her mouth to say something back, but closed it not knowing what to say. "That's what I thought." Miguel smirked, uncrossing his arms.
Sofia took a deep breath in, 'Here goes nothing...'
"You never gave me a clear response." She said, shying away. "Response to what?" Miguel asked, confused with what Sofia said.
"You never gave me a clear response." Sofia said with more confidence this time around."...From when" Her confidence slowly died. "I confessed." She already knew what he was going to say.
"You...ran away before you gave me your response."
She thought Miguel would say something along the lines of, "Yeah, I ran away from you because I didn't like you and I find you ugly and fat."
Sofia knew that she wasn't as slim as other girls in Encanto.
It was one of her biggest insecurities.
Miguel's eyes grew wide, he never meant for it to seem rude.
"Sofia." Miguel said cupping her right cheek lifting her head up when he noticed her sad expression as she held onto her stomach.
"I'm sorry for not giving you a proper answer, I just... freaked out." He nervously smiled rubbing the back of his neck.
"If you really want to know my answer I will give it to you." He smiled.
He quickly leaned in and kissed Sofia on the lips.
Sofia was in shock not able to process what had just happened when Miguel continued, "I like you too." He said smiling, a red hue ran along his cheeks and ears.
"Can you...do that again?" She whispered, her eyes slowly bouncing between both of his copper colored eyes.
Miguel smiled, he hesitated with what he wanted to say next, "Of course, mi amor." He leaned in, kissing Sofia again as gently as he could. He began to smile when Sofia began to kiss him back.
They both pulled away, Sofias face as pink as cotton candy as she pressed her lips together, her arms wrapped around Miguel's neck, "Mi amor..." She thought out loud looking up at the sky. "I think I could get used to that." She smiled.
Time went on since the two of them began to date.
Their hands intertwined as they playfully swung their arms as they walked. Each time their arms swung, a certain amount of time passed. Each day they were happily together while two other people healed their hearts learning to move on.
Their arms flew up in front of them.
A week has passed and you had already finished your book. You gently placed it on your shelf with the other books you had and took a deep breath while walking into your living room with a smile.
Then swung behind the happy couple.
Another week later and Camilo sat on his bed he stared at himself, staring at his hands. He looked up in front of the huge mirror on his wall. He shapeshifted into you as he examined your facial features.
He brought his hand up to the mirror, your fingers touched the mirror as he looked up and stared at your beautiful eyes. A flash image of the look on your face when he hurt you flashed into his mind as he backed up, shapeshifting back into himself.
He exhaled, looking back up at the mirror seeing himself one more time before he turned around and walked away.
The couple's arms swung forward once more.
Two months later and you sat on your bed with your sister.
You explained to her about the book you had just finished.
You playfully nudged your sister when she told you it reminded her of what you had gone through a couple of months ago.
She then asked how you were feeling about it. Your slow smile dropped, your shrugged shoulders, a saddened smile appearing on your face.
You were still healing.
And their arms swung back, Miguel quickly twirling Sofia around as she giggled.
You forgot how long it was since that happened, you had gotten over it.
You were forgiving the past.
Miguel brought Sofia back in, his arm wrapped around her waist before kissing her.
Camilo came down for dinner one day.
The family sat uncomfortably, worried that one wrong move and he would explode on them.
The family watched in horror as Dolores nudged him, "So?" She said, looking at him.
Camilo looked down at his food then back up at his sister, he shrugged his shoulders and a small smile appeared on his face before he started to eat his food.
The couple stare lovingly into each other's eyes, a year has passed and they are happier than ever.

Following a shocking attack and a cruel deception, Dorothea grows her conscience and takes up arms, using her self-destructive ability to manipulate the flow of time to ensure Sacer’s victory. Her growing understanding of war and the two factions is guided by Iree Nobelis, the determined and enthralling commander of Sacer’s forces, Ariana Kingfisher, a steely swordswoman of mixed Ghurian and Sacerian descent, and Rhys Tamlin, a kind but haunted soldier who goes to challenge Dorothea’s self-imposed celibacy and join her on a mutual journey of healing from the tragic legacies of the Atlin family and wars between the nations. Meanwhile, Dorothea’s only friend and deserter from the Sacerian military, Shark Olyen, returns to their homeland to face the family that disowned them and finds more than they bargained for in meeting Cerid Creed, a noble whose duty to his people clashes with his desires in romance and in life, much like Shark’s did long before. As their developing or preexisting loves and differing convictions on how to achieve peace create rifts between these major players, Dorothea experiences a personal revolution that leads her to fight for what she believes is right, no matter the cost.
