Ugh I really don't want to get up
Like every day as usual I get up to the sound of the same annoying alarm, so I can get to work on time at the same boring cafe shop.
I get up and put on my brown work shirt with a green apron and black Jean's and tie my hair up into a messy bun. I quickly eat breakfast and head to work.
As I'm walking down the side walk I look up at the sky to notice the beautiful clouds blocking the bright yellow sun behind them.
"Oh I'm so sorry please forgive me. I didn't see you there I was day dreaming and not paying attention. are you okay?", said a dark haired man dressed in all black.
"Y-yes I'm fine", I said as I struggled to get back in my feet.
The man had bumped into me while we where walking neither paying attention to where we where going.
"Next time watch we're your going" I said under my breath as I walked way
I continued on making sure to keep my eyes straight ahead to avoid another collision with another person.
Work continued on as always taking orders from mostly busy and grumpy people in a rush to get their day started.
"I'd like to get a plain black coffee"
"That will be $2.50" I said as typed his order Into the small computer in front of me.
"Hey, aren't you the girl I bumped into this morning" said the man handing me the money.
I looked up to see it was the main in all black "oh yes I remember" I said
"Yano, I heard what you mumbled when you walked off" he said with a smile
"Oh"
"And I've been careful all day to watch where I was going"

I smiled a little and handed home the recite. He took it and wrote something down bit handed it back to me.
I took the recite and looked at it. It had a number written with the name mark above it. I'm not sure why but I shoved it in my pocket. I looked up at him and he smiled real big. "My name is Kate, but can you excuse me I need to get back to work there are people I'm n line behind you" I said
He walked over the the next counter got his coffee and left.
The day continued on but when I was about to clock out and my shift was almost over my work friends Emma and sherl walk over to me and smiled
"What?" I said, I looked at them with and eyebrow raised.
"Who was that man earlier who kept smiling at you?" Sherl asked
Sherl was my closest friend. She has light brown fuzzy hair, and slightly wrinkled but nicely tanned skin. She was like a mom to me.
"Oh, probably another pervert" I said knowing exactly who she was talking about. For some reason I thought about him a bit today maybe it's because of the we had met or maybe it was the somewhat attractive smile he had. I don't know
"Then why did you keep his recite I supposed he wrote his number on it" Emma said as she pulled the crumpled piece of paper put on my back pocket.
I grabbed it from her as I felt my face start to turn red. I quickly turned away and clocked out.
"Maybe he is different from the other guys I have been around" I said
"Yeah you should definitely call him" Sheryl said with a smirk
"Bye see you tomorrow I said as I quickly walked out the door. I had been embarrased enough for the day.
When I got about half way home I took out the recite and read over his name and number thinking to myself whether I should call it or not. I put it back in my pocket and figured maybe I shouldn't.

First Draft
Taking care of someone was hard. Harder still when the only job you can find is a graveyard shift at your brother's school, which is apparently haunted by a man claiming to be the devil. Oh, no, how horrific. I'm so scared. So, terribly, horribly, atrociously scared. Whatever shall I do? My life as a janitor is a simple one, and that clingy asshole won't leave me alone, so forgive me if I don't put enough gravitas into the situation. The only really scary prospect to this whole thing is that the KKK is in town, and I really don't want to deal with their bull. The gang activity is enough, why do we need to have an all-out war on school grounds? That will be too much for me to clean as a poor, lonely graveyard janitor. Old Summary: My gaze raised, and I observed the darkened face of the ghost, only visible feature being glowing red eyes. They faded into darkness, and I thought the offer over even as the body seemed to grow heavier in my arms. My first friend since this whole thing started, a few years ago. My brother needed to survive. That didn't mean I did. "What's the price?"
