"These earrings? or these?" Kate asks as she holds two different pairs up to her ears.

"How the hell am I supposed to know?" I ask, dumbfounded by her request.

"What is the point in having a gay best friend if you can't help me with fashion and talk about boys?" she replies in a 'duh' tone.

"Being gay doesn't make me the perfect replace girlfriend. You know that's stereotyping!" I state annoyed at the way Kate is assuming I have any clue in any of this.

"You know you're stereotyping too right?" She points out the obvious and I can see my point has backfired.

"See what you made me do?" I say exasperated as I collapse against her bed. "Lexi will be here soon- just ask her" I say realising there's a way I can get out of this conversation.

"Yeah, she said she'd get ready with us then go to meet her date elsewhere. I want to know why she's being so sus, but we'll find out tonight, won't we?" Kate laughs as she settles on a pair.

"So you two are cool now?" I question in reference to the obvious tension they had before. For years they hated each other one of the reason why Jaxon felt he couldn't confess. However It seemed it was all just water under the bridge.

"Thanks to you" Kate laughs again.

"Thanks to me?" I ask, astonished. I never did shit.

"Yeah, you and all your drama with Daamian made me and Laexi put our differences aside for the time being. Once realized that that was possible I guess we realized we aren't that much different. We kind of agreed that the past should stay in the past and that we both just needed to move on. I'm not saying it's perfect but I feel we're cool now." Kate shrugs as she slides on a stack of bracelets.

"So what was the issues between you two?" I finally voice the question, I've been wondering since I got here, all those months ago.

"Like I said I'd like to keep the past in the past." Kate says ominously.

"Urgh fine be that way" I groan though that only makes her chuckle more.

"So you're going wi the guys too Damian's sister's wedding?" Kate asks. After she finally finished adjusting the few ringlets she has purposely spilling out from her updo.

"Yeah, he called was like as 'your first act as my boyfriend is you must be my date to the wedding' and before I could even answer it was settled." I say as I mimick DAmians husky voice. Lexi, who I didn't know was in the room, burst out laughing.

"When did you get here?" I demand, embarassed she caught me off guard.

"Just now, but I think that was perfect timing to hear that awful impersonation of Silva."she says between manic laughs.

Once recovered, she walks into the ensuing bathroom in KAte's bathroom.i can see her take down the messy bun she has on and pull out a makeup bag from the massive tote she brought with her. She stands beside Kate as they paint their face.

"Aren't you going to get ready?" Lexi asks me after her face is done. I can't help to gape at her. She was a beautiful girl and when I first arrived at school, she seemed always decked out. But recently she seemed to relax. Her outfits became less stereotypical cheerleader like and her natural beauty was on display. However, today she was neither natural or caked. She had used the makeup to enhance her already gorgeous features, intensifying her face. But the thing that made the most difference was the natural glow and genuine happiness that radiated from her. She looked stunning and that was before she had gotten the chance to do her hair and put on the dress. There was no doubt she was going to look amasing. Whoever her date was, he was a lucky guy.

"You done checking me out?" She dead pans. I blush at that. "I thought you were gay?" She questions.

"I am. Although I don't want to screw you doesn't mean I can't appreciate beauty when I see it. You look stunning Lexi." Lexi blushes at that. For the first time since I met her, she drops my gaze and looks towards the ground, embarrassed.

"What about me?" Kate jokingly pouts as she steps out from behind Lexi. Unlike Lexi she was completely done. In a gorgeous teal dress that shimmered. It was floor length with a collar and a large drop v-neck( that I knew Jaxon would appreciate). It showed her slim figure off and with the five inch heels she was wearing every thing seems to just elongate on her. Similarly like Lexi, instead of piling on the makeup she had just used it to intensify hand exaggerate her natural features. She highlights stage Asian influenced shape of her eyes and painted her lips in light gloss. "You look incredible" I answer honestly. Kate was never the type to dress up but now that she had I couldn't help but wonder why she didn't normally. She was beautiful. She too blushes.

"Aren't you the charmer?" She jokes trying to hide her own embarrassment. I couldn't help but wonder why these two girls were suddenly being shy around me.

"What's wrong guys? Haven't had a guy appreciate your God given looks before?" I joke.

"Well I have, I've just never had a sexy gay guy do that before." Lexi says feebly attempting to joke.

"You think I'm Sexy?" I ask as I raise an eyebrow. It was fun cornering Lexi. She was normally so pulled together I couldn't help but to exploit her vulnerability.

"Well,uh, yeah" she mumbles under my heated gaze.

"Thank you Lexi. I think you're sexy too" I say putting emphases on my Texas drawl. I knew the girls back home found that to die for. She blushes agains. kAte coughs, uncomfortable in this whole situation. Can't helping myself, I mess with her too. "You know Kate, you're not half bad yourself" I say as I drag my eyes obviously over her body appreciatively. I don't know why either of them are buying this but whatever it's too fun.

Once I see that both of them are standing there: uncomfortable, blushing like crazy, I take that as my cue to leave. I grab the bag my tux is in and climb off of Kate's bed. I make an obvious attempt to look over both girls again with a coy smile, before I leave. Leaving them in a confused daze as I burst into my own hysterical laughter outside the room.

After a quick shower, changing, adding a bit of gel to style my hair I rented Kate's bedroom. Lexi is now dressed in a gorgeous red dress with a thigh high slit. She looks beyond sexy in it and I know all the straight guys will be anti her up tonight. Although I had messed with them earlier, I just appreciated that I had beautiful, intelligent and kind people to call my best friends. Yes they were sexy and stunning but that didn't mean anything to me. I could see why guys would be into them they were gorgeous, just not my cup of tea.

"OMG! Noah!" Lexi exclaims as she sees me.

"What?" I ask in worry, did I look that bad?

"You look amazing" I look at her slept tally wondering if she's trying to get back st me. However by the genuinely appreciative looks Kate and Lexi were giving me I would take it they weren't.

"If you weren't my best friend and gay I would totally do you" KAte says as she licks her lip. I laugh as I throw one of the bed pillows playfully at her.

"You got a point there" Lexi says in agreement and I can't help but laugh at my insane friends. We were so weird. However, I couldn't help but feel relieved they didn't see me as 'one of the girls'. Full disclaimer: that had been one of my fears when Kate asked me to get ready with them.

After we throw a few more pillows playfully skeins. All being extra careful to not ruffle our clothes or looks. I finally ask, as we sit on laws bed, just passing times "So Lexi who are you going with?she shares a look with Kate. Seems they had shared some secrets since I had gone to get ready.

"You'll see" she says mischievously.

"Do I know this Person?" I ask, trying to solve this mystery. I had never been one good with surprises.

"Yes. It's someone from school." But that's all I'm saying. I groan and this has both girls laughing at my expense. I can't help but smile though, seeing that whatever feud they'd had, for years, was finally over. They really were going to be great friends. We all were.
