"Would you like a bag?"
Every time they ask
If you stand at the exit, watch how many people come out with a bag.
"Yes," they will say. "maybe two 'cause you don't want this one to go breaking.
Convenience. One word with such a meaning
Every. Single. Thing. We. Do. Is. For. Convenience.
123,000 tons? of plastic bags? thrown away? each year?is that what i'm hearing? just in California?
Like Oh. My. Golly.
Eye-boggling, mind blowing, jaw-dropping
Plastic is ruining our lives.
And we don't notice.
Not that we'll admit it,
'cause we won't,
but we are destroying us.
not that that makes much sense,
so many people,
wondering.
Where did we go wrong?
Well ladies and gents
we went wrong just 'bout everywhere
Life's not easy, folks,
and, folks, we blind.
We blind real bad.
We so blind that when the time comes, we won't know what hit us
It's like we're trapped in a box made of steal with no way out.
We messed up so bad, there is no turning around
Can't you see? Or are you to blind?
Didn't you see that turtle die with the plastic bag around its neck?
Didn't you see that the insides of that bird is all plastic?
Didn't you see that that two inch fish consumed more then 80 pieces of plastic?
No, you didn't.
You were to busy watching TV
or putting on your make up for Prom
or planning your sweet sixteen
or sitting in school and all you can think about is how bored you are
Don't you see?
Isn't it obvious?
We are so selfish, so self-centered that we don't see what's right in front of our eyes
It's there the whole time and we look right past it
Earth is 4.54 billion years old, you know.

Advanced life forms existed at least 3.55 billion years ago, you know.
And let me ask you:
Compared to these two numbers, how long have humans existed?
Not long at all you see
If you look at a timeline you will see.
The first forms of humans have only existed 195,000 years ago.
I know I say only, but compared to the other two numbers that’s not long.
Not long at all.
So you see, in that relatively short amount of time we’ve done a whole lot of damage.
I’ve heard if all the insects disappeared, Earth would be no longer,
but if all the humans disappeared, life on Earth would flourish.
Aren’t we better than that?
Maybe it’s beyond fixing now,
but can’t we at least try?
Well, I bet you didn't notice because you were to busy staring out the window waiting for your Prince or Princess to come save you from your own problems
The world has bigger problems then you do,
so look around, can't you see?
You needed to world more than the world needed you and now you better fix just ‘bout everything you did wrong.

My native language is English but there will probably be some mistakes so let me know if you find any. This is my first fiction so any advice is welcomed.
