Since the day of the attack Alex has been by the king's side. She won't really complaining but she did want space once and awhile. Knowing she won't going to get it anytime soon was annoying and she simply wanted to run off and find something fun to do.

That of course would bring chaos

"Is something the matter. You have been awfully quiet the last three executions" Marcus whispered into her ear.

She was seated on Marcus considering Aro did most of the walking and talking alongside Cauis who wanted to look tough throughout the trials.

"Just thinking is all" she mumbled knowing everyone in the room could hear the pair but wouldn't dare comment on it unless it was the other two kings

"About?" Cauis questioned

"Stuff" she glared slightly knowing he got the hint that she didn't want to talk about it. She of course received one from him in return

"You two are like overgrown children sometimes" Aro commented glancing between the pair

Alex rolled her eyes and glared at Aro instead much like Cauis did. Neither liked being compared to a child especially from the man child himself

"Peace everyone. Let's not start an argument. "Marcus chipped in smiling softly at everyone.

"Yes Marcus is correct. You pair seem to be be ready to argue at anything" Aro added smirking at Cauis who growled lowly.

"Anyways we think tonight will be perfect for a little someone to be turned" Marcus added in

At this the guards smiled and Alex couldn't help but roll her eyes. "I'm fine with tonight" Alex stood up and walked down the stairs towards Alec and Jane who both flanked behind her when she continued to walk towards the door that was stationed behind them.

"My queen?" Jane questioned moving to walk beside her the second the doors closed behind them

"Yes Jane?"

"I -we just want you to know that-"

"Your the closest we have to a mother. Yes we are older and you are more childish" Alec pitched in moving to the other side of Alex

"But your kind to us more then anyone else and do not fear us like most. " Jane finished

Alex smiled softly at the pair,tearing up in the process. "I'm glad you told me this. I don't know why I treat you two so differently but in a way I guess you are like my children no matter how much older you two are"

"I'm glad you didn't reject us" Jane mumbled pausing in her steps. It brought the everyone to a stop

"Never" Alex grabbed Janes hands."and after tonight I'll be here for you two for eternity"

"Before we were turned" Alec began grabbing hold of Alex free hand. "We were outcastes by the village. Everything were blamed on us. We were thought of as witches for our powers surfaced while we were still humans."

"Humans took everything from us. They hurt us over everything and our birth mother could do nothing but plead them to spare us before they finally burned us at the stake and killed her in front of you." Jane finished almost yelling out in anger as tears the will never fall entered her vision.

"We couldn't save her and we will be damned if this new threat takes away our new mother.our new happiness" Alec wrapped an arm around Jane to calm her

To say Alex was speechless would be an understatement. She always knew how heartless and selfish humans could be. How much they put there own needs above others and are quick to point blame but this were to far.

"I vow as I stand before you two as my last day as a human being that I will protect you both. You should have never went through something like that growing up" Alex mumbled hugging the pair. "Let's go to room.we will wait for the king's there"
