Alex has been jumpy recently. Always feeling as though she was being watched and she didnt like it. She made it to Vegas three days ago having to change busses here and there to reach it
She ditched her phone the after the second bus when Demitri kept calling along with the other guards, even some unknown numbers she quickly realized were the kings. She did not want to talk to them.
Alex glanced around one last time before walking into the crowd to blend in. The feeling never left her though. Glanced around again and gasped when she saw a female standing across the street wearing a white cloak. "Shit" she mumbled before taking off into the crowd hoping to loose to obvious volturi guard
She had just gotten settled in someplace near by but knew she couldnt stay now that the Volturi knew where she was. She didnt know what to do at his point considering she had no go to plan. She was dead broke at the moment
Her only plan now was to stay in the crowded areas and hope for the best. The street was to lightly lit up for her to call to the shadows so she just had to keep running. She glanced back to see if the vampire was following when she was grabbed and pulled into an alleyway.
"Thought I saw a familiar little human...need some help"
Alex looked up into the eyes of the vampire she had met back in New York and smirked. "What's the catch"
"No catch" he says smirking
"Theres always a catch. I'm not stupid" Alex kept glancing around to make sure no guard just pops up out of nowhere
"I'm serious. You remind me of my little sister so I wanna help. We should move now though Demitri is one of the best trackers the Volturi have" he explains holding his hand out to her

Alex glared at it before taking it."try anything and your dead" she snaps
"Of course,I'll have it no other way" he mumbles jumping onto the roof and running off with Alex in his arms.
"The names Noah"
"The names I dont give a fuck" she snaps glaring up at him. "As in this is a one time thing and I dont wanna see yo face after this"
"Understandable" he says stopping at the train station. He put her inside before smirking when the door closed. "I hope we dont see one another either for your gonna be piss at where this train is going" he says from the other side of the door
Alex glared at him "and where is this train taking me" she asked trying to jam open the door but she was to weak.
"Have fun in Italy my friend and please do tell your mates I said my debt is paid in full for this one"
Alex eyes widen in surprise at what he said. 'Cant catch a break'she thinks feeling the train start to move

Many Minded
Synopsis: Issa Pyxis, Spacer orphan and illegal heretic, graduated from living on the streets to running with a gang years ago, but now it looks like that’s all going to change. Her inheritance, more specifically who—or what—she is, is catching up with her, and on a planet with the Emperor’s inquisitors slinking around in every shadow, nowhere is safe and no one can be trusted. What will she do? A cyberpunk story about identity, loneliness, covert infiltration, evil dystopias, and much more! Features: - Cyborgs and cyberpunk galore - This is indented to be somewhat “rational” and “hard” Sci-Fi story - Original Fiction however parts of my worldbuilding are inspired by other Sci-Fi stories (duh) Rationale: The future is cool, AIs are kickass, and questions about consciousness are simultaneously existential and yet unanswered. To me, this story is a vehicle for exploring these topics, and also, I wanted to write a story where the protagonist was unafraid of themselves and where their self is more like a git-repo than a meat computer. Disclaimer: This story primarily takes place in what we’d describe as a “cyberpunk dystopia” with some extra technocracy, autocracy, and religious fervor thrown into the mix, so there will be some “grittiness” in this story. Caveat emptor. Also, [insert your favorite boilerplate “views expressed” disclaimer here]. I shouldn’t need to say this, but the main character and other characters in my story can be wrong on occasion (gasp!) and the way they view the world isn’t always objective truth (if such a thing even exists) nor do their views and opinions necessarily reflect the views of me, the author.
