In the noon, Hayden - Elena had appointment with their doctor for the check up, confirmation and well being of their baby. She had took leave from office.

Elena was bubbling with excitement on the starting of this new phase of her life. She had called her sister after the announcement at breakfast to break the news to her and Noel - her cutie pie was gonna be a big sister. Her sister was happy for her and congratulated for the same. She got ready and went out. Carl - her new chauffeur who was recently appointed by Hayden specially for her was there. He drove her to the hospital where Hayden was to join her. On reaching there she confirmed the appointment with the receptionist who told her to go right away as her husband had booked the appointment exclusively for two hours just to clear all their queries and doubts peacefully. She shook her head at his craziness but 'where was Hayden' she thought, when she saw him coming with that usual cold face of his to intimidate others but she could not be fooled anymore. She could guess he was nervous by one glance at him. She took his hand in hers and calmed him down.

They went inside where Doctor Amanda greeted them. She asked her to lie down on the bed for the ultrasound, applied the gel and moved the screen towards them. Hayden and Elena were emotional watching it. it was so tiny as of the size of some seed. Doctor told them she was one month pregnant, gave her some prenatal vitamins, answered some of their questions, sone general guidance and went out of the makeshift room to print ultrasound copies to give them some privacy. "Our baby" Elena said alternatively looking at Hayden as well as the screen. "Yeah..our baby" he said emotionally kissing her both hands with gratitude.

After leaving the hospital they shopped some clothes for the baby out of excitement, actually Elena shopped and Hayden just tagged along feeling happy seeing his wife so elated. Then they enjoyed some nice ice cream, it was evening so they went home together. Entering happily inside the house they came to halt watching Veronica throwing tantrums at poor Martha. Sean was nowhere in sight. Their whole joyous mood went down the drain. Taking a deep breath Elena asked Hayden to go inside, when he stared at her, she asked him to go saying she would handle it and then asked Martha to go inside the kitchen. It was time to show her - her place. Martha complied. "Its a waste Veronica, whatever you are doing..Hayden was never interested in you, never will be.. you are just losing your respect in his eyes, in our eyes day by day..just give up already" Elena said confidently. "We will see, Hayden is mine whether he loves me or not" she barked.

Elina flinched but equally annoyed yelled at her "You are mad.. you need help" and went away from there to avoid showing her tears. Her anger was pouring out through her eyes. Washing herself up, she went into the kitchen to console Martha and asked her to go home and rest. 'Its okay.. it will soon be over' she chanted in her head. On reaching their room, she opened the door knob only to find Veronica in a skimpy outfit and Hayden with a towel around his neck. ''Oh Elena" She said in fake surprise.

Hayden was shocked to find Veronica in the room after coming out of washroom. 'Ofcourse she would try this' he thought bitterly.

Elena furiously went to Hayden and asked to put on a fucking t shirt, then turned to Veronica and slapped her hard on her face that the voice resonated in the room.

''Next time don't fucking come near our room, otherwise I will smash your face.. now out.." she yelled pointing to the door. Veronica left from there after giving her a nasty glare. They both quietly sat on their bed reeling in the aftermath of what just happened. They both knew it was just a cliche evil trick. Sighing Hayden got up and went to the other side, sat on his knees, holding her hands asked "You trust me right?"

She subtly nod and replied '' I do..but I am tired of this.. I am just going to sleep''

He knew she didn't mistrust him but was disappointed in him. He should have acted fast. He should have just thrown the woman out of the room or better house by now.

That night they slept without being in each other's arms first time after their marriage. It was horrible for Hayden. He had gotten used to his sweet wife's cuddles.

Next morning Martha was late when Hayden in front everyone sternly announced that Sean has decided to move back into his own apartment with his wife without conforming him. If his brother doesn't really bother sharing his problems, then he would find the other way out but he needed to solve this mess and keep Elena away from it. He was being too soft. Time to be the old Hayden he thought. Sean did not objected because he knew she was creating troubles in his brother's marriage but he was helpless. He was waiting for his brother to put his foot down, surely then Veronica will be forced to move out, either with him or without him. It was decided that they would move out the day. Relaxed Hayden went to his office so that he could spend the evening pampering and apologising to his wife. Sean went to his apartment to restock it and have it cleaned. In a way he was relieved that his brother would not longer be bothered by his problems and Veronica would too relent in front of Hayden.

Elena was coming out of her room when she saw Veronica comings towards her with a crazed look.

'dont panic.. dont panic' she thought to herself. "you are so stubborn, you didn't listen the warnings I gave..those chits.. I had sent them. But you didn't listen..so I had to frame Sean but no you have to be stupid trusting wife..you left me no option...."she said coming towards her.

"Wha..what are you talking about?" Elena asked discretely stepping back.. Too late she saw that, said "This" and pushed her back towards the stairs. "Ahhhhh...." Startled she squealed but still held onto the edge on railing and tried to side step her to the opposite side of staircase but in vain.

"You are gonna die today anyhow" Veronica muttered.

She tried to open her fist where Elena had hold it strongly to held onto the railing.

They were so busy fighting, Veronica opening her hand and Elena trying to hold that they did not notice Hayden had come inside because he forgot his file.

He quietly went upto them so as to not alert them. Meanwhile Martha also came. He noticed and shushed her when she was about to shout. On nearing them, he bitterly pushed Veronica to the side and caught Elena in his arms. His heart was wildly tugging inside his chest. What would have happened to his wife and baby, had he not come back?.. he ensured if she was okay..double checked her body to see any injuries the crazy woman may have given her but there was none. He broke the hug, grabbed Veronica and dragged her out of his house to the main door, threw her out and informed the guards to not let her in to ensure she was permanently out. "you okay?" he again hugged Elena "Yeah......yeah" she said still dazed.."I love you..love you so much" he whispered emotionally. She just hugged him back more tightly.
