General point of view

Its been three weeks - three weeks of Veronica making it awkward for all of them in their home. Elena had been kind and understanding all throughout this but Hayden knew her patience was slipping, the way Veronica seductively touch him, flirt with him despite him glaring at her. It was all going wrong, despite him being annoyed and snappy he maintained his composure just for his baby brother. He had still not told him the reason but Hayden kind of accidentally listened to their conversation where Sean and Veronica were arguing about her revealing something if he didn't listen to her. It was annoying that he confronted his brother about the same but he still denied. 'It must be something big' he thought. Still in thoughts he realised his phone was ringing, it was Elena and she was asking him to come home early.

'What would have happened now?' he thought. He completed his paperwork and came into the parking. Michael was there. Leo was on vacay leave. He asked him to drive home.

Michael knew what was going on in their house because Martha told him. It was bugging him that Hayden was worried but he was pretending to be calm and fine. ''Hayden'' he called after contemplating for some time. ''Yeah" he said now concentrating on him. "Everything will be fine. Just don't let Veronica come between you guys and then you will be able to concentrate on Sean" he shared his piece of advice.

They had meanwhile reached the mansion.

He came out of it just as Michael did. "Don't worry, I plan on doing just that" he said patting his shoulder as a sign of gratitude and went on his way to inside. Halfway he turned back and said "And Michael"

"Yes Hayden" queried confused Michael

"Take tomorrow off, spend some time with your family" he added.

Michael thanked him and went away.

Inside he saw the lights in the living room and dining were dim. Instead It was lit with candles.

Elena came out of the kitchen when she noticed him."oh you are back..come..have a seat" she said pushing the head chair for him at dining table. He was surprised at this, on the top of it Veronica was nowhere in sight like the past couple of weeks. He did as asked and it was elaborated dinner with his favourite dishes on the table. He raised an eyebrow as to ask whats the occasion, to which Elena replied "Nothing, just... it was only me at home so thought of doing something special for you. Have this.." she excitedly passed him lasagna and buttermilk fried chicken. "oh--kayy" he said confused at her excitement 'but then she was always chirpy - his sweet cherry' he thought beautifully smiling at her. After having the dinner, he got in his room to freshen up and get ready for bed. Elena went after him to know the reaction for the surprise she had placed.

Few moments later Hayden came out of the washroom confused with a small toothbrush in his hand.

"What is this Elena? Why is this there on the cabinet stand? You should have thrown your old one if are using new brush" he said. She Facepalmed. Trust her husband to notice extra toothbrush but not the reason. Damn. "Nothing.. just place it back there please.." she said displeased.

No worries - She thought she had a backup up her sleeve. She saw he was busy with his hair.

She removed her jacket and called him.

"Hayden"

"Hmm" He said absent mindedly.

"Do you think this shirt does not fit me? Am I getting fat?"

'What?' he thought and turned around to say something when he noticed what she was wearing. On the shirt, it was written 'Hi Daddy!'

He opened his mouth to say something and then closed it, read it again to confirm and a smile broke out on his face. He hastily crossed the distance between them and feverishly kissed her. "Really?....My God.....Thank you" he Hugged her tightly pecking her forehead time and again.

"No, Thank YOU" she continued "but now I think we should seriously think about this Veronica thing. Don't get me wrong.. I love Sean like my own brother.. but she just annoys me sometimes with her constant advances on you. I know we did her wrong.." "Elena, no.." he cut her off for being guilty over no reason but she cut him off "no, let me.. whatever maybe the reasons, I am just keeping my patience because you are important to me and Sean is very close to your heart. But now we have child in the picture and I don't want to spend my 9 months in this stress..you know what I mean right?" She explained him softly.

"Ofcourse I understand" he said. It was the first time they were addressing the issue after Veronica has stepped into their house and he completely agreed with her. The only difficult part was to make Sean talk, even if he had to let him go to their apartment which would solve their problems but will increase his'.

Next day during breakfast they announced their pregnancy to Sean who smiled - a real smile after so many days on the good news.

Ofcourse Veronica was there too clunking the crockery noisily at the table after hearing the news. She knew she had to up her game. She had came here, done all the blackmailing to the people to be close to Hayden, but clearly it was not working. It was time for plan B.
