General point of view:

"What did you say?" Hayden repeated calmly yet anybody who knew him could guess he was furious and just controlling himself. Elena could easily see this. But noticing their lack of response and both of their fallen faces he knew he heard it right. 'Damn' he muttered inside his head. How could his brother do this? How could he feel into her trap? Surely he must not have gotten this bad that he married that psycho. Who knows what she was upto this time? All the questions were swirling inside his head yet he flicked his wrist towards his office to his brother to follow him. Everything aside, that needed his immediate attention.

First time, he left his brother on lose to come around and he created a bigger mess for himself. He thought it must be Sean's another tantrum or stupid fling gone wrong that he's trying to solve and avoiding him. Turning the knob he demanded "Explain everything? and I mean it Sean, every damn thing" gritting his teeth.

"I..I we got married thats it.. I have always supported you..you need to support me in my decisions" was what Sean said trying to be brave yet it came out as whining.

"You know that its different Sean, Elena and Veronica are not the same, you will be in a deep trouble" he explained to his brother trying to put some sense into him.

Ofcourse Sean knew what his brother said was true. He freakin knew, yet he couldn't share, he had his reasons. "Nothing is different, you liked Elena, like a good brother, I stood by you at every point. Now its your turn. I..I li...like Veronica too" Sean tossed his words angrily this time to convince his brother.

Hayden knew Sean was pretending to love Veronica, she must have done something, manipulated him or worst blackmailed him but he did not say anything fearing argument with his brother, losing him to Veronica or leaving him in the clutches of her to torment him. "Fine, whatever but we will discuss this tomorrow, you must know I am your brother, you can tell me anything" he said in order to spit out the truth from his mouth. They went outside after a bro hug where Elena was standing awkwardly in the living room and Veronica was sprawled all over their couch as if it was her own house.

He hated that Elena was in a tight spot because of him or his relations be it brother or ex.

On seeing them enter Veronica passed Hayden a flirty smile and said "we will stay here for some days for a good family bonding time" "isn't it Sean baby?" Directing last part at her now husband holding his hand together faking a smile. When Sean did not respond she again addressed him with a glare mixed with fake lovely smile. Noticing the brief exchange Hayden at once said "Sure" to keep his brother close to him.

It was risk he knew would may lead to problems in their budding relationship but was willing to take chances for his brother. He knew his sweet wife would understand even though it was too much to ask for.

"So Hayden will you not show me our room?" Said Veronica loudly hoping to get a reaction out of Elena who said nothing but glared at her fiercely. "Ah! I mean mine and Sean's room, you know" she corrected or better yet pretended correcting.

"My wife Elena will show you guest room" he said stressing on the words wife and guest to show even if she had manipulated his brother, he's still the boss.

Sighing he went to his room. Here he was thinking to spend a nice evening with his wife but it has turned all upside down.

Elena came inside their room to see Hayden pacing to and fro. Now that he's in the confines of his room, she knew some of his facade would fade away and he would albeit hesitantly share it all with her. They have made this progression all with their love and she will not let some ex to ruin their peace and safe heaven.

"I......I am .....uh Sorry, for yelling at you. I was a bit worried about Sean because I knew something was up with him. And i hope you are okay with them living here for couple of days. I did this for Sean" He explained at once to clear their misunderstandings which he doesn't know if existed even or not. "Its fine" She smiled prettily although she complaint about him scolding her. Hayden too smiled - the small, discrete smile only stored for Elena and sometimes his loved ones. He knew he had made the right choice looking at her when she handle everything maturely and yet being kind, loving and giving all along. 'He just was so Lucky' he thought with his heart full and hugged her tightly.

Next morning it was the same routine, Veronica being her annoying self, Elena avoiding everything because she trusted her husband and also for the poor boy Sean who tried to stop his wife at every chance to behave. When Hayden tried to talk with him, he gave him excuse of some work and went out avoiding him. To avoid Veronica hurting Elena with her actions or her words he took her out with him to drop her at work on his way to office.
