ELENA KINGSLEY :

I woke up groggily for the work due to less hours of sleep. Noel was sleeping besides me looking cute as ever.

I knocked on Aliya's door. "Come in" she replied making way for me to enter her room..

"You were drunk, so I laid Noel with me. I am getting ready. You can check up on her in my room" i said already on my way out

"Thanks Ellie, you are saviour" she grinned, to which I winked at her "I know"

I took bath , put on a red shirt and black knee skirt , applied some light makeup and exited my room.

Aliya and Noel were ready having their breakfast, i too joined them, chatting , eating, when it strucked me, I am running out of time. I rushed out of my apartment, greeted Michael who was going for his work and got seated in the car.

After half an hour, with some traffic here and there, I reached my office.

I joyously greeted everybody with a smile and good morning. My PA Erica informed me about the meetings, from which I remembered, I have a meeting with Hayden. I was trying to play it cool but deep inside knew I was looking forward to the meeting , i have with him.

So I tried to distract my mind doing my work seriously. N succeeded when I was able to finalize some colour combinations for the upcoming wedding of Fernandes, it was time for lunch break , I had completed my readings for projects and meetings for upcoming events properly..

I had my lunch with Erica and Taylor.

We chit chatted a lot. They asked me about last night with Adam. I replied nothing happened as usual to which they started making other plans to set me up with him. Typical them. I snorted.

But I know they care for me, and I wouldn't change them for the world.

The day rolls by quickly it was only half an hour left to attend meeting at McCarthy office. I rushed out of my office and headed towards it. When I parked my car and was crossing the road to enter the building, I saw a baby in a stroller sliding towards the middle of road , and a car was coming at its speed in front of the baby. I panicked, and jumped to the side taking along the baby, the mother came panting, worried, fussing over her baby and thanked me million times.

I consoled her and watched them go feeling content that the child is with their parents safe. "Mom, dad I love you" i replied gazing the sky..

I winced slightly seeing my bruised left arm and hand, When suddenly I realised the meeting.

Shit... shit... I cursed , how can I forget standing here in front of the office, I practically ran inside the building and got in the lift.

My arm was hurting like hell. There was some blood on my hand. I reached the floor where his P.A. Delilah was sat on her desk . On seeing me , she started reminding me for how can I be late, her boss was furious, when suddenly she realised " your hand is bleeding"

I was gonna reply when I saw Hayden standing outside his office with cold murderous eyes. Delilah insisted me to apply ointment and some band aid on it.

I refused due to my tardiness already when Hayden replied "Get bandaid quick, then we will discuss about the meeting in my office" with a cold look. I nodded my head with a warm smile.

Delilah gave me the required first aid and told to get it checked by doctor too for any internal injuries.

I beamed at her for her careful thought, and gave her a warm hug. At first she got surprised but then, she patted my back.

Outside Hayden's office , I got nervous thinking he will definitely be going to be pissed for it. I knocked on his door dreading the punctuality lecture.

"Come in" came his faint voice..

I entered the office with a wide smile to make up for my tardiness. But when his expressions doesn't change from blank, my smiled faltered slightly but I continued

"Lets start with our meeting, Shall We?

I have brought few samples for the decor with me and picked out some elite banquets from which you have to choose"

Suddenly he stood up and said "Ms. Kingsley , you are late, I have another personal commitment, my assistant will inform you about the next meeting"

I whispered to myself "back to Ms. Kingsley" shaking my head but I think he heard because his head snapped towards me as soon as I finished the sentence.

"Sorry, sure i will talk to her about the details, thank you" i said forcing a smile and exited his office ..
