《Submissive Alpha》Chapter 25

"Are you sure those are the right measurements? I wouldn't want to leave this planet on the bases of accidentally being poisoned."
Xander lifted his eyes to me and gave me a small glare, not that I found it intimidating, he just looked cute. "Your adorable when you pout." I mused which caused a blush to tint his cheeks and he looked back down again at the bowl.
"Don't mind him honey, it's not like he can say much. He couldn't bake a cake if his life depended on it." my dad Idris smirked at me as he helped Xander weigh out the measurements.
"I may not be as good as yous or Matt but I can still cook." I tried to defend myself but that only landed me sceptical looks. "Cooking and baking are two very different things. If you can't even cook an omelette without burning it goddess knows what you'd do to this cake." Xander shot back, earning laughs from Papa and Matt.
I scowled but bit my tongue, knowing all too well I wouldn't win this. Myself and Matt along with our father's were currently in the pack house kitchen. Dad and Papa were dying for some time with Xander and thought baking together would be fun, considering Xander had said he'd never baked before. And obviously Matt and I had to be here to watch for ourselves. Seeing Xander interact with our father's was the cutest thing, he always look so happy and comfortable with them.
Its been a few weeks now since the attack and Xander has improved enormously. He slowly started talking again bit by bit, and by now he was talking like his usual self around us. It will still take time for him to be fully back to normal after what happened but he'll get there.
"Does it really matter that you put the correct ingredients in? I mean I've cooked before and just threw stuff in?" Xander whined as he measured out the sugar. His face contorted into a frown and myself and Matt couldn't help but coo at him.
Matt said through our private link. I looked over to see him smiling wide, adoration in his eyes.

He was right, in situations like these Xander appeared almost puppy like, it was adorable.
We watched as he poured in the sugar into the bowl, causing a bit of flour to jump out and get on Papas shirt. Xander giggled slightly as Dad helped him wipe the flour away, it was music to my ears.
"Are you having fun with your father in laws baby boy?" I asked him in a baby voice that made him blush bright red. He looked at both Matt and I as we smirked at him, waiting for his reply. "Yes daddy." he said softly. Our father's then turned back to Xander and gave him a hug.
"Thank you sweetheart, and do you enjoy your daddies watching you bake?" Papa teased him making him go even redder. Xander whined and hid his face in Papa's neck, trying to hide his embarrassment. "Yes.. I do."
"You do what angel?" Matt pried, a wide smirk on his face. Xander whined again but we weren't going to let up. Sighing in defeat he snuggled closer to Papa, burying his face further in his neck and mumbled his response. "I really enjoy my daddies watching me bake."
"Good boy." we all said in unison, chuckling at his cuteness as Papa ran his fingers through Xander's hair. I saw when Xander removed his face from Papa's neck he had tears running down his red cheeks. I glanced at Matt worriedly, both of us wondering if we had upset him. "Baby boy what's wrong?" I asked.
"I j-just want you to be proud of me daddy. That's all." he whimpered out as more tears fell down his cheeks.
Matt said to me through our link and I finally understood, his hormones were imbalanced due to the pregnancy and it was making him upset and worried.
I lept out of my seat and walked around the counter to him and picked him up. I brought him back around and sat him in my lap, facing Matt and I. "Shh baby it's okay, what's brought this on?" I said into his ear. He hummed and rested his head on my shoulder as I kissed his head softly, wiping away his tears. His thoughts were filled with clouded upset and worry, I didn't want my baby being sad, it hurt too much.

"I just like it when your proud of me. When your watching me and smiling at me. I like seeing my daddies smile, makes me happy." he said quietly shoving his face into my neck to try and hide how red his face was. Goddess I was gonna die of a cuteness overload. I glanced over at my father's and saw dad on the verge of tears.
"And we like seeing you smile sweetheart, look at me baby." Matt said and Xander lifted his head slightly to look at him. "We are always proud of you, even in times when we need to punish you or we run into problems we will always be proud of you. Now give your daddies a big smile, common I want to see you smile angel." Xander hid his face slightly but gave Matt an adorable little smile that made my cold heart thump." There's my beautiful boy. "
Matt reached over to rub his swollen bigger tummy, Xander's smile widened and he received a kiss on the forehead from both of us. His stomach wasn't too big yet but it was starting to stick out quite noticeably which made Matt and I very proud.
Since Xander's belly has become more noticeable he's been getting non stop compliments from the rest of the pack, congratulating us and wishing us well on our soon to be heir.
Our child would be of both wolf and vampire blood, a powerful mix if you ask me.
"We'll finish up with the cake." Idris said. Xander frowned at that and tried to get off my lap but I held him tight, letting him know I had no intention of letting him down. "But I feel bad, I wanna help." he said sadly.
"I know honey but your tired. Let us do the rest and you can help us ice it when it's baked." dad reasoned. Although still hesitant, Xander eventually nodded his head in agreement.
"Okay I think we're gonna go bring Xander up for a nap. When you wake up we can ice the cake then, alright baby?" I said as I picked up Xander who was already struggling to stay awake. Dad and Papa gave Matt and I a kiss on the head and we made our way out of the kitchen and up to our room.
I could hear Xander's heart take little leaps as we stepped into our room. I lay him down on the bed and got in beside him, Matt doing the same on the other side as we got comfortable. I smiled to myself as I felt Xander run his fingers through my blonde hair that was starting to grow past my shoulders.
"I love you both. I can't wait until we're father's." he said while Matt rubbed his belly. "I want to find out the gender before I'm due, so we can have everything ready for their arrival."
"Of course angel, have you thought of any names you like?" Matt asked kissing his temple.
"No not yet, I should soon though. There's so many to choose from I don't want to rush in making a decision." I chuckled as I could hear him listing different baby names in his head, some he chose to come back to and others throwing out the window. He found suddenly and mumbled to himself. "What's wrong?" I asked.
"Oli's never choosing our baby name." he grumbled as it looked like he was having a heated debate with his wolf. We chuckled at him and I reached over to take his lips into my own, quieting his grumbles and replacing them with soft moans.
"Sleep baby boy, we have plenty of time to decide on a name and whatever you decide will be beautiful." he smiled softly at me and nodded before he rested his head on my chest and pulled Matt's arm around his waist.
"Love you daddy's." he whispered before falling asleep.
"We love you too Xander."
