《Submissive Alpha》Chapter 21 p1

Two days I've stood in front of that rodent. Two days I've watched him smirk at me when I ask questions then beg when the torture began. Two days we've gone without answers, still no closer to finding Xander.
My patience was wearing thin along with my emotions. I'd spent almost every hour of the past two days down here in the dungeons trying to get some kind of answers. I appeared angry, strong and determined to find my beloved mate, but in reality I was breaking.
In the hours when I wasn't torturing the rogue for answers he wasn't planning to give us, I'd spent the rest weeping in Matt's arms. The pain of our mate being so far from our touch was unbearable and it was slowly destroying me inside.
I knew it was crushing Matt inside too but he was always better at keeping his emotions in, though it was probably only a matter of time before he too broke.
Myself and Matt were in our room, my head on his chest whilst he ran his hand up and down my back in an attempt to sooth my sorrows, but it didn't.
His scent was everywhere, all over the sheets, the furniture and bathroom. We were drowning in it and it wasn't doing us any favours as it only made the pain worse.
"We'll find him, even if I have to practically decapitate that mutt to do it we'll find him. We'll bring Xander home." Matt murmured in an attempt to reassure me for the hundredth time today.
Although his words were strong and determined his voice was weak and strained with pain. I wasn't stupid, I know he's in as much agony as I am but he's trying to be strong for the both of us and for the moment I'll let him.
"I hope so." my voice cracked as tears began to fall down my cheeks again. He pulled me closer to him as I let my tears fall onto his chest.
I could hear footsteps coming closer to our room, no doubt they were our father's. They had refused to leave, helping alongside us and Xander's parents in an effort to get any information.

Myself and Matt rotated interrogating the rogue with our fathers, so by now it would be our turn to go back down.
Just then the door opened and our fathers walked in.
"How are you doing honey?" dad asks as he sits on the side of the bed next to Matt and I.
"Fine." I answered quietly but he could see right through me.
He reached over and pressed a kiss to my cheek, rubbing my head softly.
"Any new developments?" Matt asked.
"No not yet. Your father and I have tried everything but he won't budge."
We all stood there for what felt like ages, none of us muttering a word. The sadness in my heart mixed with a burning rage, I was going to find him.
I rose from Matt's chest and got off the bed. Matt followed suit, grabbing hold of my hand and giving it a tight squeeze.
"We'll join you both." papa said, the first time he'd spoken since entering the room.
"But you and dad have already been down their for hours? You need rest." I tried to reason.
"The day we rest is the day Xander is back home and safe. If that means standing in front of that runt for a bit longer than it's worth it."
Matt and I were pulled into his chest as he hugged us for dear life. We melted into his touch, his comfort easing some of our pain.
"Come." he led us out the room and through the long hallways. Xander's scent was everywhere and being forced to inhale it while walking through the pack house was not pleasant at all. It took everything in me not to break down again.
We were in front of the entrance to the dungeons and a scowl pulled onto my face. His stench suddenly clouded Xander's scent, that and his blood. I couldn't tell if that was making this easier or harder.
As we made it further into the dungeon his body appeared in front of us. He was tide to the wall, his skin in tatters with blood covering most of his body.
His whimpers made my lip twitch upwards as Matt and I approached his busted figure.

Xander's dad was off to the side wiping blood off his figures.
I stood in front of the rogue while Matt grabbed his throat tightly, causing his eyes to water and a strangled squeel to fall out of his mouth.
"So you're still not talking huh. You know you're only making this worse for yourself?" I said with a growl.
He said nothing and that only fueled Matt's anger. He lunged at the rogue, punching and kicking him all over.
"Looks like we need a new method. Papa can you pass me the bucket."
Papa approached us with a big bucket in his hand, full to the top of water. The rogue took one look at it and when his eyes saw the water he froze.
"N-no no please don't." he gasped out.
"Don't what?" I growled. We lowered his chains so his upper half was bent forward and his face inches away from the bucket.
He began to sob, true fear Shawn in his eyes for the first time.
He was afraid of water.
"This is your last chance. You can either tell us where Xander is......or your head is going into this bucket." papa grumbled as he took hold of the Rogues hair but again he said nothing.
"Fine have it your way." papa yanked his head towards the bucket and the rogue let our a loud scream.
He kicked and struggled against Vladimir as he tried to get away but with the chains pinning him to the wall, he wasn't getting anywhere.
"Please don't kill me I will tell you what I know I promise just please don't kill me."
Our movements stopped, papa dropped the bucket but still kept a firm hold on the Rogues hair.
Matt coached down to his bent form and looked into the Rogues eyes. His face coated in blood, sweat and tears and he sobbed quietly in front of us.
"Oh your gonna tell me what you know anyway. But whether you choose to tell me the truth or not about my mates whereabouts determines whether you die slowly and very painfully or you die quickly and with slightly less pain."
I looked at my brother as pain ran through our bond. He was clearly trying so hard to hold himself together but was now, like I was earlier, on the verge of breaking.
Matt was always the strongest out of the two of us, rarely did he ever show weakness but today his walls were crumbling fast and it killed me inside to see him like this.
"H-He's being kept in the old warehouse i-in the oak forest, t-the one that was abandoned." the rogue struggled to say, his eyes still fixed on the water.
"That warehouse is fucking miles away." I seethe. It would take us at least a day to get there and that being if we left before the sun even breached the sky.
An erie smile made it's way onto Matt face as he stood to his full height, looking down at the rogue with his hands now secured around his head.
"Thank you, you have been so helpful. But now we must say goodbye."
Before any of us could say a word Matt had ripped the Rogues head clean off, throwing it across the room.
He sank to his knees as sobs quietly poured out of him. His shoulder length black hair fallen in front of his face that shielded his tears that were now making a puddle on the floor.
I approached him slowly and got down to his level. My hand reached and tucked his long strands behind his ear, revealing his face to me.
My heart sunk when I saw the broken expression on Matt's face, tears pouring down as his cheeks and eyes were red and puffy.
I took him into my arms and held him tight. I felt his shoulders sag against me, collapsing into my arms as grief and relief flooded our bond.
We now knew where he was, we knew where our baby was and we weren't going to stop until he was in our arms again.

The Pet Dragon
Reborn as a dragon and stumbling through the world the MC feels rather disadvantaged. This story is a writing challenge for myself for fun and I'll start with one chapter every day though they might not be particularly long. I did not plan anything out but I have ideas. Freeform was supposed to be this but my ideas were too complicated and I couldn't keep myself from overthinking it. Well, that failed. I will resume this story at a later date.

Path of the Stonebreaker
Femira spent her life stealing scraps and looting corpses just to survive another day. When she stumbles upon the chance to steal another's identity, she thinks she's found the ticket to an easy life. But she soon finds the glamour of the runewielder's hall hides as much peril as the bloodslick streets. Abandoned by his abusive father at the far reaches of the world, Daegan may not have the powers of his ancestors but he refuses to die in banishment. Will he make it back home in time to prevent a brewing war? ------------------- This is a gritty drama-driven, rambling tale that presents mysteries early on that the characters work to unravel throughout the story. It swings between action, drama, and sometimes some darker comedy. Warning: A whole lot of profanity, alcohol, drugs, implied violence, actual violence and mega-violence—the kind that involves knives sliding into eye sockets and brains spilling onto floors—the usual stuff, scenes of intimacy, mercenaries, pirates, lots of moral ambiguity, including a wizard that likes to make tea with the heat sucked from his victim's bodies and a heap of world-ending monsters ready to eat people. _______________ Expectations: Updates every Monday and Thursday. Chapters will be between 2,000 and 5,000 words. I'm Irish and write in "Irish English" which is to say that I don't use much of the letter "z"

Soul Core Online
Soul Core Online was a game that few people were interested in until after it was released, due to its odd way of handling character growth but this soon changed as people started to realise just how different this game was. Unlike many of its predecessors the NPCs in Soul Core Online acted in a way that was indistinguishable from real people and the world felt alive because of this instead of the empty and sterile cities we had come to expect, even walking down the street could give you insights to how these people lived. In my case this was the world that I had always wanted to visit and I soon found myself embroiled in the constantly changing world that is Soul Core Online.
