That when I grow up I'll buy you a rose

"I'm glad we're finally on break... Thanksgiving break took forever to get here." I say sighing.
"I'm excited to do nothing and sleep in for the next 5 days." Ethan says.
I hug him and say, "And to spend time with me while I binge watch Netflix?"
"Sure..." Ethan says in a sarcastic tone.
I stop hugging him and frown. "Wow. I feel hurt." I say moving away from him. I put on my apron and ignore Ethan.
"Red I was kidding!" Ethan says grabbing my wrist.
"Uh-huh." I say pulling my wrist away. I glance at his face and see he's pouting at me. I feel myself smile and try to stop it.
He starts to grin and cups my face. "Of course I want to spend time with you over break." He murmurs against my lips.
He kisses me and I feel the butterflies in my stomach explode.
He grins at me and I kiss him again. "I have a surprise for you." He says randomly.
"Ooh..." I say wiggling my eyebrows. He laughs and I ask, "Is it food? I could really go for some chips right now."
"I'll give it to you when I drop you off. So if you don't like it I can run to my car and drive away." He says nervously.
"I'm sure it's not that bad..." I say laughing.
A group of people come in and we start to take their orders. "Hi what would you like to order?" I ask.
"Just a chocolate chip muffin and water please." He says.
After he pays Ethan hands him the chocolate chip muffin while I grab a bottle of water. He sits at a booth and we serve the next customer.

"Well hello there..." A guys says with a smirk.
I laugh and say, "What can I get you?" A little judgmental are we now?
"How about a date with you?" He asks.
"Sorry I'm not on the menu. But we just made some raspberry scones. Fresh out of the oven!" I say. Good idea!
"Okay I'll take two of those. So that's for sure a no on that date?" He asks.
"She said she's not interested." Ethan says glaring at the customer.
I give him an I got this look. "Ya I'm already taken." I say.
"Him? You sure you don't want to go for someone more attractive?" He asks looking at Ethan.
I scoff and say, "Get the fuck out."
"You can't make me leave. You don't own this place." He says.
"Well I do." Mrs. Cooper says coming out of nowhere. "You are not welcome in my cafe. Please leave or I will call the cops."
He looks at Ethan and I, grabs his scones, and leaves the cafe.
"Assholes. What can you do about them?" Mrs. Cooper says rolling her. Once she's out of sight I look at Ethan and see he's still pissed.
"Hey it was just a random teenager." I say hugging him.
"I know..." He says wrapping his arms around me.
I put my head against his chest and a few moments later I tilt my head up and ask, "You good?"
He grins and then kisses me. Shut up.
Mrs. Cooper walks in and sees us kissing. "I told you guys no PDA unless you're on break."
I start to blush and hide behind Ethan. He smiles and says, "Sorry Grandma..."
We get back to doing our jobs and I couldn't stop smiling.
Ethan opens the car door for me while I explain why you can't have chocolate chip cookies without milk. "When you finish your cookie your mouth is dry so you need milk to refresh you." I say.

Ethan grabs my hand and we walk towards my house. "Well what's wrong with water?" He asks.
"Cookies and water aren't that great together. You get this weird aftertaste." I say.
"So um here's your present..." Ethan says nervously.
I let go of his hand and take the bag. I take out the tissue paper and see a book and a tumbler cup. I take out the book first. "Did you like Looking for Alaska?" I ask.
He smiles and says, "Ya it was actually pretty good. I still don't think I would become a bookworm like you though."
"That's okay!" I say shrugging.
I take out the white tumbler cup with gold dots and see it's filled with red and pink Starbursts. "Ooooh yay!" I say smiling. There's a little note around the straw that says, "You make my heart burst."
"Cheesy." I say looking at Ethan blushing.
He chuckles and says, "I know."
"I love it! Thank you!" I say hugging him.
He hugs me back and then anxiously says, "There was uh this quote I wanted to show you in the book! I'm surprised you didn't highlight it. It's on page 123 I think..."
I flip to that page and see the phrase, "Do you want to be my girlfriend?" highlighted.
And there's a sticky note:
I start to squeal and say, "Yes yes yes!" I jump into his arms and he automatically wraps his arms around me. When he sighs in relief I ask, "Were you actually nervous?"
"I was so scared you were going to reject me that I couldn't go to sleep last night. Then I was thinking it was too much stuff for one question and I should have just bought you a rose or something." He says hugging me tighter.
"Well either way I can now call you my boyfriend." I say smiling.
"I like the sound of that." He says brushing his lips against mine. I smile and kiss him like there's no tomorrow.
A few moments later we separate and we grin at each other. I KNOW! AHHHHHH!
He puts me back down, looks at my neck, and then smiles. I unlock the door and say, "See you on Monday?"
"Of course Red." He says smiling.
I walk into the house with my backpack and present and walk into my room. I smile and see Jade in the hallway. "Hey I heard you screaming outside. Did you see a bug?" She asks.
"No. Ethan asked me to be his girlfriend!" I say smiling.
She claps and says, "Congrats!"
"Thank you." I say laughing.
"Do you have a bruise on your neck?" She asks.
I frown and ask, "What?"
"You have a small spot that looks like a bruise. I don't think that's a good thing..." She says confused.
I walk into my bathroom and see the spot. Oh my god... I didn't even know he could do that.
I put my hair down and cover the spot with my hair. "Oh I hurt myself when I was straightening my hair yesterday." I say to Jade shrugging.
"Ooh... Sorry that must have been painful. I don't understand how you can just put a very hot object to your head just to straighten your hair." She says shivering.
"Well you don't understand because you have naturally straight hair." I say.
"True." She says flicking her hair off her shoulder.
I laugh and ask, "Did mom say dinner is ready yet?"
"She said ten more minutes." She says leaving my room.
I close the door to my room and sit on my bench. Yep.

The Systems of the Multiverse - A Guide for the Multiversal Traveler
The Systems of the Multiverse have their issues. I, an observer from outside the multiverse have made it into my mission to tell you, the multiversal traveler about those issues and dangers. This is a relatively low effort NaNoWriMo and Writhathon project. I want to test myself if I can manage 55k words in a month, likely updating every single day until the end. This story is told in the form of an in universe book. Well, I say story... While this definetly won't be great, I still hope it will be enjoyable. I do my best to avoid grammar mistakes and spelling issues, but won't promise anything. Corrections are welcome, this is also an excercise to improve my writing from a technical standpoint. Not from a worldbuilding and character standpoint however, for that you need time. Oh, the keyboards (and computers) that the observer destroys are not real and only exists in story to have an excuse to easily end this story at the end of NaNoWriMo. I also personally like reading LitRPG stories, so this isn't meant to hate them. It might come over that way, but many of those issues are simply fun to think about: what would really happen if the world is so, seen through a lease of negativity :-) [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]

Souls
To be summoned to another world of swords and magic is the dream of anyone who wants more from life. With the chance of becoming a master of the sword, to grow more powerful than anyone could ever imagine. All this could be Leon one day. If he was the Hero. Instead, he along with his entire school was summoned into this world to fight the demon race whose king was recently died for unknown reasons, all to protect the people who Leon could really not care if they die. He mainly just wants to use magic and fly. But why has the Demon King died? How were these people able to summon people from across dimensions? And how could such a plain-looking boy like Leon ever hope to survive in a world where everyone, including the demons, don't really like him. They don't hate him, but they would rather not have anything to do with him. Disclaimer: My grammar is crap, and you have the right to tell me just how much I suck at writing. Also if your feeling like this series is very much like Arifureta, then I'm sorry. Because the beginning of this story will sound very much like that series.
