"Bhaiya (bro)! Please drive the cab fast. I'm running out of time!",I was chewing my nails in trepidation and panic started settling inside my mind on thinking of the worse things that could ever happen to him! 'Oh god, Fret not and Think positively!',my subconscious yelled.

"Sorry madam but I cannot cross the speed limit! This is the utmost speed with which I can drive this cab!",the driver replied eyeing me through the rear view mirror. I impatiently looked out of the window, looking at the the trees passing by which were symbolising the fact that I was running out of time and each second was worth to me, now.

"Excuse me, Why'd you stopped?",I asked the driver frustratingly when I noticed my rear door opened with a click and a tall masculine figure stepped inside.

His musky cinnamon cologne evaded the entire space but instead of feeling uneasiness, I strangely started getting warm vibes from him. My trembling hands and exhilarating heartbeat calmed down a bit and I peeked a glance towards him to notice that he was indeed professional and good looking. His raven hair was trimmed to the sides and was neatly slicked back with white shirt hugging his tight toned abs and grey pants reaching till his ankles, followed by a pair of brown Alberto torresi.

"Are you impressed?", his sudden question took me by shock.

"What?",I immediately snapped at his flirty tone while adjusting my slingbag and scooting away from him, pressing my back hard against the door.

"By my looks!",he replied without even looking at me.

"Excuse me?",I almost yelled in anger.

"Relax! I'm just kidding! Actually I'm a psychoanalyst and a councellor by the way so when I noticed the frown on your face so I thought to crack a joke but it seems that I lack a good sense of humour. My bad!",he replied pointing towards the identity card hanging out of his pant's pocket chuckling while looking at me while I was a bit embarrassed for my rude behaviour.

I smiled politely at his kind gesture and muttered a low thank you.

"Thank you for? Bringing a smile on your face was the sole reason of that lame joke and looks like I succeeded!",he replied smirking while I couldn't help but chuckle.

The Cab instantly came to halt in front of the hospital's Entrance. I immediately paid the driver in cash and got out of the cab when I noticed the man entering inside the hospital.

"So he works here!",was the first thing that came to my mind but I immediately shrugged it off, as if I had to do something with this little piece of useless information.

Walking hastily towards the ICU ward, I immediately stepped inside to see my mother in all teary state while my brother had a needle injected in the centre of his upper right arm and a blood bag was attached to it. The medical staff was collecting blood from his vein. My vision swept across the room and got fixed on the unconscious figure lying on the bed.

"How's his co-condition doctor?"

"The patient regained his consciousness just a few hours ago but all of a sudden, his health started degrading and he again slipped into unconsciousness due to the intense blood loss. We needed an immediate blood transfusion that's why you are being called at this hour. But we need to perform a few tests on you before drawing blood from your body, just to ensure a safe transfusion. Are you okay with this? Actually the patient is AB negative so we were having shortage of that bloodtype in our blood bank!",the medical staff replied while giving me an assuring smile.

I nodded my hand while following her outside...

Author's POV:

"When will this girl return?? It's already 10:30 pm! Now who will cook? Mariah is also fired from her job!", Juliana mumbled lowly in frustration but dadi heard it and she immediately frowned and asked Why?

Juliana stiffened hearing her words,"Ac-actually she was p-pregnant so I gave her maternal leave!"

"Pregnant?",dadi thought for a while than replied with suspicion laced in her tone "But she was already having a grown up kid! When did she planned to have a second child and that too in this age? And as far as I know, she was divorced right?"

"What we have to do with her private life? Leave it! I'm going to cook something for three of us since I don't think she would return anytime soon!",she instantly and diverted the topic.

"Why only three of us? What would she eat if she came back?",dadi asked suddenly making juliana grit her teeth in anger but hiding her inner emotions, she nodded her head and replied "I'll cook for all!"

Juliana instantly went upstairs inside Akshat's room, fuming in intense anger while on the contrary, our great devil king were leisurely sitting on his couch while listening to some music through his headphones, lost in his own world without caring of what was going on around him.

"Akshat! Just go and fetch your wife from the hospital, now!!!",she yelled at Akshat who immediately removed his headphones and mouthed What?

"I said just go and fetch your riffraff wife from the hospital!!!",she yelled again making Akshat roll his eyes at her frenzied behaviour and he finally replied sighing "Mum! She's not a child. She can come on her own", and again plugging in his headphones,he started listening to his music.

She suddenly marched towards his direction, boiling in anger and pulling away the headphones roughly, she gave him a glare and said "Don't test my patience and do as I say!!!"

"Fine mum!",He replied sighing while standing up from his couch. Walking towards his closet, he grabbed his coat and tossing the keys inside, he instantly left the room.

It's been three hours since she was sitting in the ward beside her father who was looking like a lifeless corpse. She immediately excused herself from the ward to get some fresh air as she was feeling too much overwhelmed and suffocated inside. Strolling around the hospital, she came across a room that had written 'Psych. D.' on the name plate in bold letters on top of the room. She looked around to see a notice board that had written Dr. Sachith Nawar, senior psychiatrist.

As she was about to peek inside the glass door, someone tapped on my shoulder. As she turned around, an audible gasp escaped her lips on seeing the same man standing there with a questioning look on his face.

"Hey! Are you looking for me?",he asked, sipping on his Black coffee.

She didn't knew what to reply and suddenly nervousness started groping her body.

"Relax! I was just asking. You take things quite seriously, no?",he replied while passing me a warm smile.

She sighed in relief while trying to control her exhilarating heartbeat and returned his smile by smiling at him with equal intensity.

"Alone or with a patient?",he inquired.

"Um...with my father. He's actually shifted in the ICU. He was shot in the upper right arm yesterday and since then he is in critical condition due to the massive bleeding",she replied sighing.

"Oh...well I pray for your father to recover soon",he replied giving her a reassuring smile. There was a few seconds of silence when he finally spoke...

"Since we've already met, I wanted to ask your name if you're okay with it",he asked raising his eyebrows at her.

"Sure, I'm Aranya Ag...Malhotra. Pleasure to meet you and you're Dr. Sachith, right?",she formally replied smiling while shaking her hands with him and he nodded positively.

But little did she know that her this little Innocent friendly gesture towards a doctor would prick someone's eye who was intensely staring at their smiling faces and then at their interlocked hands in fury...

"No one will save you tonight!!!",the person replied in a very dark and spine chilling tone with his eyes darkening with raw hunger and hate.
