Seowoo and Chenle were in her room, sitting on the floor as she had all the paperwork she found sprawled out.
Thankfully, there were no spy cams or mics in her room, closing the door in case there were any in the hallway outside her room.
"It could just be about their business, like important information." She spoke, mulling over the possibilities but before she could even begin to open any, the doorbell began to ring.
She jumped at the sound, sitting up straight with confusion plastered over her face. Walking over to the window, she could see the distinct uniform of the mailman, sighing in relief.
"I thought it was my parents...I'll be back." She told the boy, begining to walk down the steps.
The air was colder downstairs and goosebumps arose on her skin- unlocking the door to reveal the man holding the package.
"Hey, there's a package for you." He spoke, looking down at it and she smiled with a nod at the familiar man who always posted the mail to her house.
"A package...I didn't order anything but thanks Kun." She took the package from his hands, checking the box as Kun stood outside.
"Do I need to sign anything?"
He snapped out of whatever he was thinking about and shook his head.
"Oh, no that's it. I was just thinking if I had anymore addressed to this house...I think I do."
"Oh, okay." She said, waiting by the door as Kun flashed her a smile.
"I'll be right back." He spoke almost emotionless, most likely tired.
He began to walk back to his van, opening the back as he was probably looking through the mail.
As she was patiently waiting, she could hear the distinct sound of a camera shutter sounding in the streets and she immediately tensed.
Her eyes scanned around briefly, clutching the door handle tighter, feeling on edge.
She tapped her foot impatiently as Kun took his time while begining to feel anxious as if someone was watching her.
"Here it is," he began, holding out a white package without a name addressed to it. "It's just addressed to this house."
The vagueness of the package made Seowoo sceptical to even take it however, she realised it could have been for her or her parents.
Maybe it's business...
Once she grasped it in her hand, she looked back up at Kun who clasped his hands behind his back and smiled at her.
Seowoo awkwardly smiled back, her eyes flickering between his own before clearing her throat.
"Thanks for these." She said, stepping back but Kun opened his mouth to speak.
"Actually," he began but there was a creak from the steps as the familiar scent of cologne invaded her senses.
"Why are you taking so long, who's this?" Chenle spoke, eyeing the man at the door defensively.
His hands were in the pockets of his black skinny jeans, raising a brow at Kun with his head tilted.
"Who are you?"
Noticing Chenle, Kun took a step back and brought his hands behind his back again with a smile.
"I just came to drop some packages off."
Chenle walked over to the door, stepping in front of Seowoo as he stared at Kun.
"You've given them, now leave."
Seowoo placed her hand onto Chenle's arm as a warning to stop being so hostile.
Kun nodded, turning around to leave towards his van.
"Hey, why are you always so rude to people." She scolded, Chenle glancing down at her.

Again, the piercing sound of a camera shutter clicking through the still quiet air made Seowoo's head turn immediately to the side, her fingers clutching tighter onto his sleeve.
"Did you hear that?"
"Hear what?" He asked, looking out the door and trying to pay attention to any sudden noise she was referring to.
"It sounded like...someone was taking a-"
Again.
This time Chenle heard, immediately straightening up and instinctively taking a step outside, leaving Seowoo in the doorway.
"Where are you going?" She hissed out, a bad feeling brewing in her gut.
Chenle stood in the driveway, glancing around for any signs of life or the sound of the camera.
The only people around were two teenage girls walking down the street and a male pushing a stroller.
Seowoo closed the front door behind her, reaching Chenle.
Chenle's eyes were trained on the male who stopped in the middle of the pavement opposite Seowoo's house.
It looked as if he was putting a blanket over his child, slowly turning his head towards Chenle as they held eye contact.
Chenle's stare was intimidating, screaming dominance of strength as he lightly grazed his teeth over the silver lip ring.
As soon as Chenle took one single small step forward, the male pushed the stroller to the side and began sprinting down the street, Chenle hot on his tail.
Although the man was fast, zipping through the oblivious people walking through the neighborhood, Chenle was definitely quicker.
After all, this is what he was trained for.
All the years he spent in the confinements of death and violence surrounding him, he caught up to the male and lunged to him.
They both fell to the ground on the impact, rolling into the road as Chenle was quick to straddle him- ripping his cap off.
He wasn't an old man like they thought, instead he was a few years older with blonde hair falling over his smooth skin.
Chenle immediately held his shoulders down to the concrete ground as he tried to escape, jaw clenched and eyes piercing into the older guy on he ground.
"Who sent you?" Chenle seethed out in demand, gritted teeth.
The male didn't reply, trying to force Chenle off but he obviously had the upper hand.
"I won't say it again." Chenle's voice was low and threatening and Seowoo reached them to see Chenle straddling the man with his strength pinning his shoulders down.
His expression was deadly terrifying and Seowoo knew she didn't want to be the one recieving those glares.
"Rot in hell you're a worthless excuse of being his son. You failed at the one job you had."
Before Seowoo could even defend Chenle, his fist drew back and thrusted into his jaw with a deafening crack.
"Don't bring him up in front of me. Who are you?" Chenle demanded with bruised knuckles as Seowoo was calling Jeno to come capture him as a hostage as he was most definitely related to the men they were searching for.
The man let out a laugh despite the pain, spitting out blood onto the concrete ground.
"Is that all you've got?"
Chenle clenched his fist so tight the veins in his arm and hand began to bulge.
Before anything could even be said, Seowoo was speaking into the phone as she caught the sight of the man impulsively lodging the silver blade deep into Chenle's abdomen.
It all seemed to happen so quick, the blade pierced into his skin with a hitch of his breath as his eyes immediately glossed over as it was yanked out of his skin, the ridges grating at his flesh and Chenle was pushed off of the man.

Seowoo immediately ran over but the man hurried up and began to fled the scene- she made a move to rush after him but her head whipped to the side back at Chenle who's hand was covered in his own blood.
"Fuck," she hissed, watching as the guy ran away and she hurried to Chenle.
Immediately kneeling down besides him, she placed a hand on his shoulder and frantically looked around.
"Oh shit," she muttered under her breath panicked.
"I'm fine, it's nothing." He breathed out, waving his off and she furrowed her brows.
"Shut up, it's not nothing. Put your pride to the side Chenle, come on I need to get you inside before anyone sees."
Seowoo tried to think logically about the situation, attempting to block out the overwhelming feeling of worry focused on his injury.
With a grunt of pain, he was able to stand up quite disoriented with his arm around her shoulders and her arm snaked around his back.
"Should I take you to the hospital-"
"No, no hospital. Fuck." He hissed out under his breath. "Call Jaemin."
She was able to assist him back to her house as he limped and was consciously aware of trying not to put all his weight on her despite the throbbing fiery pain.
They made it up the stairs to her bedroom as she had a first aid kit there and he insisted on not getting blood all over her house- that would be quite the shock to her parents.
As soon as he got into her bathroom he peeled his bloody shirt from his body, Seowoo squeaking at the sight when she appeared with the first aid stuff.
"Um, do you know how to clean up a stab wound..." She trailed off, not trying to make it obviously she was running her gaze over the full sleeve tattoo that ran to his shoulder and across his chest.
"I've always wanted a tattoo you know." She spoke as he began to clean out his stab wound.
The slight trembling of her tone she tried to cover made Chenle's eyes flicker up whilst he was leant against the counter of the sink applying pressure of the bloody wound.
He could tell she was beyond worried and scared despite masking it with a light-heartedness.
His pained, angry eyes softened in tension and emotion as he sighed quietly.
"I'm okay, I promise." He reassured her softly.
There was a pause as her grimace dropped and she eyed the bloodied tissues strewn over her bathroom.
"Do you know how much you worry me?" She muttered, shaking her head at him.
"I've been through worse." He shrugged.
"Why did you go after him Lele, now you're hurt." She argued exasperatedly huffing which wasn't so intimidating to Chenle who instead watched her fondly.
"Was I supposed to let him take pictures of you, you don't know what the purpose behind it was." He argued.
"You don't need to- I don't want you to protect me and fight for me Chenle. They're after me, not you." She spoke defiantly and he scoffed.
"I don't care if they're just after you, they'll have to get through me first. I'd be an idiot to let someone hurt you."
Although his words were anger ridden and defensive, it still made her heart pound and she opened her mouth to speak but before she could, she heard the keys jiggle in the front door.
His head immediately snapped up.
"The paperwork- the safe." He hurried out and Seowoo's eyes widened- rushing out of her bathroom to pick up the papers from the floor and into her parents room whilst they both spoke downstairs.
Quietly placing them back in the safe, she held her breath and walked out into the upstairs hallway, leaning over the railing to see them both taking their coats off.
"Can't even do the job properly, we should fire them. We've lost so much money because they didn't export them correctly." Her Mother sighed.
Seowoo hurried back into her room, closing the door and then opening the door to the bathroom to see Chenle hunched over the sink with sweat sheen over his forehead, pushing his black hair back.
"Did you call Jaemin?" He spoke quietly.
"I texted him, he said he'll come as soon as he can but my parents..." She trailed off, trying to be as quiet as she could.
"I need stitches." He gritted out and she bit down at her bottom lip anxiously.
"Let me bandage it up for now, it's better covered with pressure."
Chenle nodded, turning around to face her and removing his hand from the wound to which she winced at.
"Hey, we probably have matching scars now." She voiced and he chuckled but pain coursed through him, making him groan.
He threw his head back and gritted down on his teeth as she placed the disinfectant on it, Chenle winced in pain with a sharp inhale- his hand grabbing onto her wrist to stop her.
"Does it hurt a lot?" She fretted in guilt.
"I just... it's," he was unable to get his words out, gulping down the lump in his throat.
Chenle could feel the panic bubbling up inside him, blinking away the heat behind his eyes and feeling of his heart clenching.
"I'm not ready to die, not yet please!" His Mother screamed out as she was in the infirmary with men surrounding her, forced onto her knees in front of his father.
"He's my son, my son not yours." His voice stoic as he nodded over to the bodyguard who began to advance on her with a large blade.
"He will end up like me, I don't need someone like you to influence him." He spat out and her cries turned into ear piercing screams with the blade driving in and out of her until they ceased.
His chest was rising and falling quicker than before, stuck in a trance and Seowoo worriedly watched him.
"Chenle?" She asked hesitantly, not wanting to touch him in case he panicked.
"Chenle-"
"Seowoo, we're going to buy some groceries, we'll be back soon!" Her Mother shouted from downstairs and she momentarily jumped, forgetting her parents were home.
"I need...Loki." He uttered out and Seowoo realised what he meant.
Panicked, Seowoo stood in front of him feeling helpless- reaching out to him but retracting her hands.
She cursed under her breath, dropping the things onto the counter before turning back to him as he clutched the counter behind him as he leant against it- eyes closed.
"Chenle," she began gently, eyes falling to his wound. "I need to bandage it up-"
"Okay." He breathed out, knuckles turning white as he tried to restraint himself from having a triggering panic attack.
Seowoo had a concerned frown on her lips as she began to wrap the bandage gently around his torso and abdomen.
"Do you remember when we met?"
"...when I told you to kill the guy." He replied with a slightly unstable voice, it being more raspy than usual.
"No," she began. "We met before that, you nearly ran me over." She quipped humourously which made Chenle open his eyes and blink to adjust his vision.
"What? Really?" He asked dazed, trying to think back.
She nodded.
"You asked if I was okay and then left."
"Oh...I didn't even realize."
"We both really hated each other at first didn't we?" She laughed to herself as she began to tie a knot. "I mean I certainly didn't like you."
"Now I-" Seowoo halted at her words, glancing up at Chenle who was looking down at her, less panicked.
The air thickened with the overwhelming tension brewing between them both as he maintained the intense eye contact- not wanting to back away.
She focused on his eyes, which were darting back and fourth, shining in the light. They were a deep, earthy brown. But there was something else in them, something glistening.
Spirals of earthy brown colliding with honey droplets and the emotion that glistened brightly.
"Now you what?" He spoke lowly, eyes flickering between her own.
She felt such a pull towards him that it was so intoxicating.
Unable to even think clearly through the rapid palpitations of her heartbeat, a swirl of emotions in her gut as she peered up at him.
Everything was silent and she wondered if he could hear the sound of her heart beating louder than usual.
"If I say it, what happens to us?" She spoke quietly.
She watched his reaction closely, the way his adams apple bobbed as he gulped and the silver lip ring that shined in the light.
"Whatever you want to happen." He murmured, his eyes pooling into her own honey brown ones- encapsulated by her.
She could feel her body basically trembling in nerves and her head spinning with the intoxication of him.
"You're so beautiful." The raw sincerity in his voice emphasised the awe he was in over her, as her features became illuminated under the lights.
His hand reached over to her, resting on her cheek with his thumb barely brushing over her skin as if she was a porcelain doll. The warmth of his skin sent jolts of electricity through her.
"Whatever I feel when I'm with you...I don't want to lose it but I'm scared it's too good to be true." She whispered out, her doe eyes looking up at him.
"I think I would go insane if I didn't tell you for another day, I can't explain how you make me feel- I just...I just know I can't let you go and I'd do anything it takes to keep you safe and happy."
"You do make me happy."
"God, you're the best thing that has happened to me, I swear." He muttered under his breath.
A smile curved up on her lips, her cheek growing hot in his palm with the blush falling on her skin.
His black hair fell over his eyes, the light illuminating on his skin as his back leant against the counter, Seowoo close in front of him- looking up at the boy.
His eyes raked over her, the inexplicable feeling making him feel dizzy with the happiness he swore he'd never felt before, opening up and becoming vulnerable with the girl he had become infatuated with.
Chenle impulsively dipped his head down to her level, tilting his head and moving towards her with his hand still cupping her cheek as she leant into him as if there was a pull between them.
Both of their eyes shut as the euphoric feeling lit a fire inside them both- the oddly soothing cold lip ring pressed against her soft lips didn't feel uncomfortable.
Every thought was obliterated, heat of elation rushing through her veins, making her heart sing with pure joy. She felt intoxicated on the new feeling of the connection they shared.
It was nothing too intrusive yet it was enough to relay the emotions they both couldn't say- her hand resting on the nape of his neck.
She felt his lips curve up into a smile against hers which filled her heart up with warmth before he pulled away.
Chenle's eyes sparkled as he smiled and she couldn't help but to smile back at him.
FINALLY OMG

The Shadows Become Her
A fantasy progression, a coming of age story, and a tale of revenge... Alvixia "Vix" Altorelli's idyllic childhood is disrupted in one tragic night when the duke's fanatics ransack the Altorelli home and imprison the rest of her family, selling them into slavery across the ocean. In Floria, Vix's sharp mind and talent for magic land her a spot at the Perdita Free Collegium, the world's greatest school for spies, saboteurs, swashbucklers, seductresses and, some claim, practitioners of dark magic... and that suits Vix just fine. If the Collegium wants to give Vix the tools she needs to save her family and get her revenge on Duke Orso, she'll take that deal any day of the week and twice on Saintsdays, even if that means making a deal with the Prince of Shadows himself. Writer updates available for free on patreon. The following account, dear reader, is a recollection and retelling of the story of the first imp. The last devil born from the original primordial pit at the dawn of time, and the lowliest speck of that first generation. It recounts the tale of Thozronnath the pitiful and his steady rise from obscurity, perpetually stuck as a punching bag for his betters until the day hell itself spat him out. The information presented here is pieced together from eye-witness reports and second hand hearsay, sometimes from creatures with more than two hands. I can not tell you with any degree of accuracy how much of it is true as it begins long before our time and it's true ending lies far unto the future still. I can tell you one thing though, it was confusing as hell. Cover: Illustration for John Milton's Paradise Lost by Gustave Doré (1866), a thankfully public domain image. Currently on hiatus.
