Seowoo layed on the bed in what was the very nice looking infirmary- her eyes gazing up at the white ceiling as the fan spun around in captivating circles.
A part of her wished she could be more fearless, shoot a man or two in the head without blinking but it was more easier said than done.
Because in that moment...the moment as the heavy gun sat in her control, in her hands, she could feel the sins weighting her down.
Taking a life wasn't something she wanted to do, not after watching her own brother be so brutally murdered in front of her eyes.
Her voided brown eyes stared immobile at the bleak ceiling as she could feel the vibrations of the bullets ringing through the air- the sickening scream and the revving of engines followed by a silence.
It felt as though the air was thick once again, every single part of her body freezing up as she watched his life be taken.
Nine months, it had been nine months yet it felt like yesterday.
Sometimes it hurts so much that you stop hurting.
You stop hurting until something makes you feel it again and it all comes back- every hurt you've felt rushes down- encasing you in the claws of its demise as you plead for an exit.
The avalanche doesn't stop, it only gets worse as you feel yourself being dug deeper and deeper till you lose yourself within it.
Trapped, trapped in the tornado that spins relentless around your frantic frame.
Heart aching as your eyes stay bleak.
Chest pounding as you remain still.
Overfilling with gut wrenching emotions yet you feel nothing at all.
Something on that day triggered the overwhelming need to save everyone- unable to live with the thought of people being senselessly murdered yet...she was rendered useless.

Who was she kidding?
She was stupid, totally and utterly useless and stupid that everyone could see it.
Everyone dismissed her actions for idiocy- which they were but no one could see the reason why.
Obsessive over the need to avenge her brother as if it would make him magically appear again.
As if it never happened.
Maybe that's what she was desperately wanting, it to never have happened. Unable to stop the deafening screams from ringing in her ears- the same feeling clenching at her heart and clawing up her throat.
Stuck in a trance of her own nightmares that consumed her that she didn't notice the figures entering the room.
Only when they stepped in her eyeline, is when she jolted slightly.
Blinking away her daze as she gulped down the feeling that brewed and instead flickered her eyes around at the four faces.
"Oh, you're awake." The tanned boy spoke, peering over Renjun's shoulder.
"Did she get hurt? The baby- are they okay?" Seowoo asked immediately, dismissing the pain she has experienced as she went to sit up but winced at the agonising sensation in her abdomen.
Jeno placed a hand on her shoulder, pushing her back down lightly.
"You're injured, try not to move so much." He said, holding up some clothes.
"This is Heejin's clothes but they should fit you." He spoke and Seowoo watched as he placed them on the chair.
"Heejin?"
"She's my girlfriend." Jeno explained and Seowoo nodded before becoming serious.
"Are they okay? What about the other kids and-"
"They're all fine, thanks to you." Jaemin spoke, sitting on the edge of her bed.
Seowoo shook her head.
"I barely did anything...you guys did most of it."
"Yeah, you're kinda dumb to be honest."

"Shut up Donghyuck." Jeno seethed, shooting him a glare.
"What? I'm just saying...it's a bit stupid to be that reckless. Plus I thought you had training and shit but you-"
"Donghyuck,"
"Yeah?"
"Shut up."
Seowoo was looking down at her hands, remembering the way the gun felt in it as she shot the men.
Regardless of her shooting them in the thigh, she still felt guilt- how could she not?
"I think you're pretty brave for doing that, it wasn't stupid." Jeno spoke, eyeing the girl. "Where did you learn to fight, that isn't in police work experience training."
Seowoo glanced up at the boy before shrugging.
"Boxing and self defense classes."
"Oh, how come?" Renjun asked curiously.
"I just don't like feeling weak and helpless...though I'm not sure I succeeded in that." She let out a small laugh.
Jaemin frowned.
"You're not weak or helpless though, you're literally a seventeen year old girl who is totally badass!"
"Who's badass?" A voice spoke, a female one at that.
All heads turned to the door as the girl walked in, her black heeled boots clicking on the floor.
She wore black pants, a hand stuffed into one pocket with a black cropped tight t-shirt- red jacket draped over her shoulders as she strode into the room.
Her black hair was effortlessly curled, staple red lipstick staining her lips and Seowoo almost gawked at her.
"Hello boys." She spoke, to which they all replied.
"Hey Rosa, this is the girl I was telling you about."
The intimidating looking girl reached Jeno, eyes raking over Seowoo and landing on her stomach.
"Ah, you're the girl that got stabbed- took it like a bad bitch I presume?" She asked with her lips tugging up in a smirk.
"I'm Heejin, you?"
"I'm Seowoo." The girl spoke and Heejin hummed to herself.
"Seowoo, Seowoo, Seowoo..."
"What are you doing?" Donghyuck asked the girl.
"I'm testing the name of our newest recruit."
"Newest recruit?" Donghyuck burst out laughing and all heads turned towards him.
Heejin furrowed her brows, turning to Jeno.
"She isn't joining? I thought she..."
Jeno shook his head.
"She isn't one of us, we brought her here instead of the hospital." He spoke and Heejin nodded.
She let her eyes linger on Seowoo for a moment, hesitating.
"You...I like you."
Seowoo wasn't quite sure what to answer as Heejin smiled at her with an unreadable emotion.
"Tell me though...are you looking for a place in something like what we're in?"
"A mafia?" Seowoo asked.
"Exactly that." Heejin spoke and Seowoo pondered on it momentarily, biting at her lip.
"Depends if I get something in return."
"What's that?"
"I want to find someone- rather some people."
"We can make that happen."
"Heejin-" Renjun began but Heejin held a hand up to stop him.
"Haven't got time to speak right now, Jieun and I are going on a little date- I'll have a word with Taeyong."
"Rosa I don't think-"
Heejin flashed Seowoo a smile before turning to press a quick kiss to Jeno who attempted to speak to her.
The girl waved to them all as she left the room- leaving them all partially in shock.
I love Heejin (she's from insatiable)
