"Out of the 102 missing, only 10 were found. Our specialist teams are working hard to find the bodies of those not yet found-"
Seowoo switched the TV off, staring at the black screen where she could see the reflection of herself.
"Stupid, you're so stupid." Seowoo mumbled to herself, eyes burning, stinging with oncoming tears.
"All you had to do was kill him."
"Kill him or leave."
"I-i, but..." Seowoo trailed off, almost paralysed in fear as she tilted her head up, meeting his masked gaze.
The sight of a dozen red laser beams pointed to his full black attire had her utterly terrified.
"Well?" He pressed, becoming more agitated as time went on, seeing Mr Ryu reaching the subway door.
"Answer me." He demanded, itching to go and kill the man himself, but he was stuck.
Seowoo was still pressed against the wall, closing her eyes- feeling too overwhelmed to move or speak.
Heart racing fast, unsure it was the adrenaline, fear or the fact she had her head smashed into a brick wall.
The warmth trickled down her neck, at this point soaking her top. Her body flushing with warmth, shock taking over her body.
She couldn't breathe, chest weighing down- causing her to clutch the material of her shirt.
Only the sounds of his shallow, angry breaths could be heard through the ear piece.
"And if I kill him, it doesn't change the fact the bomb willl go off regardless- I can't take apart a bomb!"
"I don't care about the bomb, my mission was to kill him."
Seowoo's lips parted in shock, letting out bewildered, surprised gasp.
"There's no way to stop the bomb is there? Tell me how to stop it from going off-"
"You can't, unless you can rewire and disassemble the bomb in less than 5 minutes."

"But...I don't have my phone on me- let me call the police, they'll come!" Seowoo perked up, her feet pattering against the ground as she ran out of the alleyway.
Frantic, she looked around for a phone box or someone holding a phone.
Bodies littered the ground, the sight of blood and dying people making her gut churn.
"They...oh my God." Her hands trembled, clutching her fist to her chest in horror. Eyes stuck in place, trained on the body that layed on the ground with his face complete unrecognisable.
"Time's ticking." Chenle mused and Seowoo swallowed down the dryness in her throat- in return making the horror resurface- almost choking on the disgust and shock she felt.
She stumbled, spotting the phone box on the pavement, screwing her eyes shut at the feeling that pained her head.
Bringing her hand up, the moisture of her blood staining her fingers and she hissed at the feeling- shaking it off to shakily pick up the phone.
"911, what's your emergency?"
"T-there's a b-"
Yet she was cut off by the sound of the loud explosion and the ground under her shaking.
What's the thoughts :)

Summon Imp!
Travel with a newly born demon as he grows and learns in his own world as well as in other worlds as he gets summoned again and again. Usually to die or kill for others in strange and exciting places, but it's never certain what the next one will bring. It has its perks. With each new world comes a new story with new experiences and new lessons. There is always more to see, more to learn and more to know. Maybe, someday, it will all make sense. For now he will just work hard to become stronger, to be useful and, hopefully, survive that way. A coming-of-age story, but different. Things start to slow down to a crawl. Colors blur into one another until my vision is completely white. All I can think is "Shit, not this again!" I hate being summoned. _________________________________ updates once a week until I get more time The idea for this story began in two places. One was the ridiculously rapid pace of gaining power in many novels. Both in games and in novels, I enjoy the struggle of the beginning character, why always the rush? The other was the way many monster or non-human MCs always seem to hurry to become human (again). It always felt like a cheap way to grant the character extra powers without the difficulty of writing a non-standard thought process. Thus I wanted to write the slow(ish) progression of a monster character gaining strength and intelligence, while remaining distinctly non-human. There are no stats, xp or systems, no reincarnated soul or completely formed being to start with - unless I want to make fun of those. While the MC 'evolves', the process takes months if not years to proceed step by little step. Sit down with me and imagine, what would it be like if...

A human engineer named Tom accepts a deal to travel to a Fantasy world with the mission of changing it forever. He is given a week to prepare before setting off. Once on the other side, he is greeted by a fantastical world and its inhabitants. his original mission to change this world and have some fun while doing it quickly turns into him making a home for himself and defending it and his new family against whatever ends up coming their way. The story will also follow the POV of Sapphire a local woman who Tom encounters early on in his travels to yield a closer insight into our local population. The story focuses mainly on the interactions between the characters with intermittent action, romance, and the technical side of trying to bring a medieval-high-fantasy people up to speed with more or less modern technology. There will be discussions of mental illness, immense loss, and joy, ranging from the truly heartbreaking to the properly heartwarming. The first chapters are on the short side but eventually escalate to the 3000-5000 word range. especially the early chapters suffer from poor grammar and I am sorry. they are slowly going to be brought up to spec. Thousands of years ago there was a great breaking of the world. Few alive have the knowledge of why this was necessary, but in the end, the world was split into two. On the one side, a person lived in a world of controlled technology and evolution. On the other, even the basest creatures can alter the world's path. Then came a boy named Icarus, who preferred Fern, and didn't particularly want to be there. This is his story, and how he became a fable told from one village to the next.
