"Are you in position?" The deep husky voice of Jeno interjected through the earpiece and Chenle hummed- biting down on the silver ring hooped through his lip.
He was situated at a tall building, the black sleek sniper in front of him and he bent towards it to look through the lense.
"Target isn't here yet." He reported back and instead he sighed- nonchalantly standing against the wall as the sun shone down on him in celestial rays.
"Renjun?"
"In position." Renjun spoke back in a hushed manner and from where Chenle was, he could see the fellow Chinese boy who had the job of blending in with the civilians.
"2 o'clock Chenle." The voice of Jisung hurried out, the sounds of him frantically typing, hacking systems echoed through the atmosphere.
The black haired boy clicked his tongue in irritation- hating missions that requires patience.
He took his stance, finger hovering over the trigger as he zoomed into the scene.
Sighting the masked opposition who weaved through people with the dark brown leather case in his hand.
His aim remained stuck to the target's head- watching him intently as he still walked through the busy crowd.
"Idiot can't just stay still." Chenle muttered wryly and Jaemin scoffed through the earpiece.
"Just do your job Chenle, we can't afford to fail this one."
Chenle scowled despite knowing no one could actually see him.
"Okay Mum." He bit out sarcastically.
Chenle watched intently but with languish as the man stepped into a partial clearing as Renjun began to walk towards him.
He noticed the slight nod of Renjun head and everyone got into position, holding their breaths as Chenle's finger inched towards the trigger.
About to pull it, everyone waiting in anticipation- the flurry of brown long hair invaded his target aim.

"Shit, hold back." Jeno hissed and Chenle zoomed out- his sight falling on the back of a girl's head as she spoke to the masked man.
"Fuck sakes." He groaned angrily- trying to keep tabs on the man's face. "Is she stupid?"
"Yes." Jisung commented yet the Chinese boy ignored him- too engrossed into his mission.
"If she doesn't move, I'll shoot her too." Chenle muttered, poking the side of his cheek with his tongue.
"I say do it." Donghyuck interjected and Jaemin harshly sighed.
"No one is killing the girl."
Unknown to Chenle, the girl he had nearly ran into earlier was conversing with his target- her brown hair carrying through the wind and it became nearly impossible to get a steady aim on the man.
"Ah, Seowoo! How have you been?" The Man exclaimed, the palm in which the case was in became sweatier and it weighed his arm down.
"I've been good Mr Ryu, it feels like ages since you've taught me." She smiled, it beaming with joy and he nodded- gulping nervously.
"Well, I hope you've been good-"
"Why are you dressed that way?" She asked, eyeing his full black attire in the amidst of summer.
The bulge of the knife weighted into the side of his waistband and it became more appealing the more she stayed.
"Ah, no reason...well I'll be off." He quipped, smiling despite his malicious urges.
"Okay...nice seeing you again!" She called out as he turned around.
With him turning around, the side of his black jacket flew open in the wind- revealing the unmistakable sight of the black gun.
Seowoo's eyes widened, her gut falling to the pits of her stomach and suddenly it felt like the air was knocked out of her lungs.

Her eyes trailed down to the case in his hand- it was bulky and suspicious as he began to walk in the direction of the underground subway station.
The feeling of dread filled her- the sensation of guilt weighting down on her chest and horror spread onto her face.
Was it a bomb?
The first thought flashed into her head and she quickly shook it off.
"Don't be stupid Seowoo...you watch too many crime movies." She muttered, tearing her eyes away from him yet it left a salty taste in her mouth.
What should she do 😮

Midara: Requiem
"When the alternative is extinction, all acts, no matter how heinous, are permitted." The story of a little necromancer who only wants to play with abominations against all that is holy dollies and her horsey, Mister Clackybones. Welcome to the novelization of one script I designed for a video game setting I call Midara (I selected the name of a genus of moths for symbolism purposes, not to be confused with anything else). Once upon a time, I dreamed of the setting being the next Final Fantasy. Long story short: Nope. Requiem itself is meant to be an Open-World RPG which adapts to the choices of the player. This is just one of many, many paths that one might follow in Requiem's gameplay, if it ever becomes a game.

I'm Sure It'll be Fine! ...right?
We live to die, and die to live again. This Cycle continues, neither to Begin nor End. Ever Beginning, never to End, we come to the story of our Unusual Friend. The Gods are as varied and unique as the mortals that worship them. Some are kind, others are fluffy, and (given the nature of the multiverse) a few are Eldrich Abominations of Unspeakable Horror. But that's fine, those few tend to mind their own business... At least until an Eldrich Abomination (an interdimensional cosmic slime-mold specifically) gets itself devoured by a Lich during a ritual to obtain Godhood... Especially because anyone, even a Lich, who's willing to eat an ENTIRE COSMIC SLIME-MOLD for any reason, even godhood, is undoubtedly a madman...who's now set his unsightly gaze upon replacing (likely by devouring) the Godess of Magic herself! She could probably use some help...if only to avoid touching the slimy Lichgod directly. Also, the Eldrich Gods are protesting these events in their usual manner...by trying to destroy all of Creation.
