《The 8th Deadly Sin (MeliodasxOCxKing)》Chapter 3

---Tsukiko's P.O.V---
We arrive in the village near Baste Prison. That's where Ban is being held. It seems as though Meliodas needs a doctor. He's hurt! Diane is holding him while I'm on her shoulder. I haven't gotten to tell her anything yet. That's for another time. We walk into Dalmally town. That's what its called.
"Hey! Is there a-" Diane asks. Everyone screams and runs away. I shake my head.
"How can you help if they run for the hills the minute they see ya?" Hawk yells. Diane pauses.
"Fine. Then you go look for a doctor." Diane agrees.
"Alright!" Elizabeth agrees and runs off. Diane sinks to her knees. I pat her shoulder.
"It'll be alright. Just you wait!" I comfort her.
---short timeskip---
Diane and I sit outside the window. Meliodas is in there, getting help. People have crowded around us, wondering what a Neko and a Giantess would be doing in their small village.
"He'll be okay." I say.
"You think so?" She asks me. I nod.
"Have a little faith." I smile at her. In reality, I feel like crying. What if he doesn't get better? What would I do without him? What would any of us do without him.
"I'm going to start heading in that direction right now. Once the captain wakes up, I'm pretty sure he'll want to go there right away. But I can't let him do that until I know all his wounds are healed." Diane says. Elizabeth must have been talking. I wasn't paying attention. Diane gets up.
"Wherever you're going, I'm coming with you." I say. She nods. She starts walking and Elizabeth runs up to us.
"Diane! Tsukiko! Wait! I'll come with you!" She calls out. I shake my head. She's only going to cause problems.
"I don't want you getting underfoot." Diane says coldly. "I mean, look at that tiny body and those skinny arms. What could you possibly do to help me?" She continues. "The only things you're good for Princess, are changing the washcloths you put on the Captain's head and being his nursemaid." Diane finishes. That was a bit too far.
"I want to do something, anything! I want to be of some help to Sir Meliodas. He's hurt, and I know it's all my fault. I'm just causing trouble. But for my sake-" Elizabeth says. Diane interrupts her.
"Now don't kid yourself! It's not like the Captain risked everything for you!" Diane yells. "He's like that. Always was. It's who he is. Trust me, I should know." She says softly. Then she proceeds to tell how she met and fell in love with him. I hang my head in shame. Diane probably loves him more than I do. Instead of thinking of him, King comes to my mind first. What kind of girlfriend am I? I'm the worst. All I do is cause problems. Problems for Diane and Meliodas and Elizabeth. Maybe I should just go away. Nobody cares about the Eighth Sin anyways.

"What's that?" Elizabeth's frightened voice snaps me out of my thoughts. I see a black cloud flying towards us. My ears pick up on the sound. It's not a storm. It sounds like...bugs? Ew ew ew ew ew no! I hate bugs!!! The insects fly towards us. They're poisonous. It's like acid rain. Diane screams and crouches down.
"Bugs are the one thing I can't stand!" She yells.
"Me too!" I cover my head. Out of the corner of my eye I see Elizabeth run. "Elizabeth watch out!" I scream. Diane rushes to her aid. She covers Elizabeth with her body.
"I may hate bugs but if it's for the captain, I won't let anything get in my way!" Diane yells. She summons earth pillars to squash all the bugs. Diane cracks her knuckles. She jumps forwards. "Now look after the Captain. Got it Princess?" She orders Elizabeth and we dash off. I dig my claws into her clothes to keep from falling off.
"Yeah Diane!" I cheer as we go even faster.
---Timeskip---
The Captain's better! I jump down to say hi until I see a Holy Knight. My eyes narrow.
"My name is Holy Knight Ruin, the destroyer of Sins." He tells me.
"Oh cool. Did you see King anywhere?" I ask nonchalantly.
"He's dead. I killed him." He says in a voice filled with glee.WHAT? No way. He's lying.
"ILL KILL YOU JUST FOR SAYING THAT!" I yell and unsheathe my claws. I swipe blindly at him. He dodges and runs away. Diane is fighting him too.
"GET BACK HERE!" I scream. Soon he comes back. I manage to land a few blows. A familiar voice snaps me back to my senses.
"Princess? What are you doing here?" I ask as I see Elizabeth standing there. Where's the Holy Knight? I hear a sound of a bell and everyone disappears. Huh? Where is everyone? I see the Holy Knight again. We fight. More blows and hits are landed. I take more damage than he does. Soon my clothes get kinda bloody. "Time to get serious." I growl. I take out two chained daggers. As I'm about to hit the Holy Knight I see Meliodas. I stop in midair. "Meliodas?" I ask.
"Tsukiko?" He asks me.
"What's going on?" I ask and land on the ground. My strength is fading from the battle but I'll be okay.

"Why are you all bloody?" He asks me.
"I...I don't know..." I say.
"I'm going to find Elizabeth." He tells me. I nod.
"I'm only going to rest for a bit." I yawn. He nods. Maybe a small catnap. I collapse the moment he leaves. Oh shit. I was probably fighting him. When I used all my strength and he used Full Counter. Blood flows out of my mouth. My vision blurs as I see Diane's boots approaching me. Yes. Just a small catnap. Then I'll be okay. My eyes close. Goodnight Diane. I drift into unconsciousness.
---long timeskip---
A loud and obnoxious voice jolts me out of my sleep. I open my eyes. Where am I? Oh, that's right. I passed out. I get up and walk downstairs. I see Elizabeth and Meliodas downstairs. Ban is down there too.
"Hi Tsuki! What's up?" Meliodas asks. I rub my eyes and yawn.
"I'm so tired. But at least I seem okay." I say and walk outside with them. "What's up Diane?" I wave. She smiles.
"Tsukiko! I'm so glad you're okay!" Diane cheers. I sit on her shoulders. "So this is the Necropolis?" Diane asks. I shiver. Why are we here? Oh, right. King.
"Rumor has it, this should be the place that's closest to it." Meliodas says. "And let's see if we can gather some intel on King. We also need a little food money so...lets get the tavern up and running!" Meliodas instructs us. I don't like it here. It reminds me of my old village. The one that burned. I stare at the ground. I still hear their cries in my ears.
"I'll go take a look." I say quietly.
"Nah. Why don't you stay here in the tavern with us?" Meliodas asks me. He grabs me by the waist and leads me inside. Elizabeth and Hawk join us.
"So, Sir Meliodas, how would you describe King? Like, what kind of person would you describe him as?" Elizabeth asks. I have a lot of words to describe King. Fun, funny, sweet, shy, interesting, sweet hearted.
"Hmm...Lets see now. I'd say he's kind of like The Eight Deadly Sins mascot. Our...pet I guess." Meliodas asks.
"I used to be the pet until King showed up!" I add. I was the pet because I look like a cat.
"Hey! You know perfectly well there's no pets allowed in here! Having an animal in a dining establishment is disgusting!" Hawk yells. Everyone goes silent. But isn't he an animal?
"Ever heard the word irony? Oh! About King, there was a time..." Meliodas responds and tells about the time when Ban stole all the animal plushies from all the kids in town and King cried about it. He cried and cried all night long. He's such a sweetheart! Then he returned all of them. King may look intimidating, but he's really very soft inside.
"Sir King seems like he might be a little strange, but he seems like a man with a really warm heart! I admire that!"' Elizabeth says. I nod my head. Me too.
"But that means Ban is an even bigger jerk then I already thought he was. I bet they fought all the time." Hawk says. I nod.
"What makes you say that? King and Ban were practically joined at the hip! Though, when I think about it, that might have been to clean up Ban's messes. But, when everything was said and done, they did make an excellent team." Meliodas explains. I laugh. I walk outside to Diane.
"Hey Diane...I gotta tell you something." I say. I climb up her shoulder.
"Go right ahead." She smiles at me. I tell her everything. How Meliodas hasn't been treating me the way he used to and how I feel about King.
"So you like King and Meliodas?!" She asks me.
"No way! I only like Meliodas." I huff. Right?
"Okay..." He says disbelievingly.
"Guys! Come on! I think Ban's causing trouble!" Meliodas says. We run over. I see a boy standing on a familiar spear. That's...King!
