Elizabeth POV
The room stayed in a whispering stupor and I turned to face the three sins.
"do you think it worked?" asked king, rubbing his eyes.
"It sure sounded like it." said Ban and meliodas nodded.
"she'd coming home." he agreed.
"Who is coming home?"
"L/n Y/n, the rabbits sin of silence is at your service." came a voice from behind me and I spun around to see the girl from the stage bent into a mocking bow.
"Y/n!" shouted king, flying into her arms and nearly knocking her over before setting his feet on the ground.
I noticed the two were exactly the same height as she ruffled his hair with a big smile.
"Heya quin." she smiled, "Ban, captain."
"oh come here." growled ban, pulling the small girl into a hug.
"awww, and here I was thinking I wouldn't be missed." she laughed, dusting herself off.
"y/n." nodded meliodas with a smile, "It's good to see you."
He pulled her into a sincere hug and I felt something in my chest twinge just a little.
"Who's back home?" she asked once the hugs were over.
"Diane." said king with a smile and Y/n began beaming.
"really? is she okay?? oh I just can't wait to see her!! let's go." She cried and moved to leave.
Meliodas latched onto her wrist and she turned to face him.
"Y/n, this is elizabeth." he said, gesturing to me and I felt my pride build up a bit, "she is the reason we're all getting back together."
Y/n looked me up and down before wriggling out of Meliodas' grip and tackling me in a hug.
"W-what?" I cried, falling over from the impact.
"Thank you thank you thank you!" she said repeatedly, nuzzling into my neck, "thank you for bringing my family back!"

suddenly her weight was lifted off of me and I opened my eyes to ban holding her by the neck of her dress like a cat.
"Man, for the sin of silence you sure are loud bunny." he smirked.
"Hey!" she cried, kicking at him, "I am just happy to see you guys! now put me down!"
"nah. I think I'm good." he answered before turning to Meliodas, "ready to go captain?"
meliodas nodded and we walked out the door.

Until You Do It Right
The world ended on December thirty-first of the year two thousand and twenty, precisely at the stroke of midnight. The human race began to be systematically exterminated by the spawn of the System. We were given a chance to defeat them, to take back our place at the top of the food chain. We failed. The first to perish were those who bravely rebelled. The soldiers. The defenders. One by one, they fell. In their final moments, they begged for aid. Nobody replied. The next to succumb were those who feebly cowered. The deniers. The leeches. Together, they fell. In their final moments, they cried out into the darkness. Countless voices replied in kind. The last to decline were those who shamelessly ran. The deserters. The cowardly. Alone, they fell. In their final moments, they whimpered quietly. There was nobody left to answer. The final human to die was a survivor. A runner. As he died, he begged for salvation. His prayers were answered. He was offered a chance to save himself, along with all of humanity, and he took it. This is his story. “I sat in the dark and thought: There’s no big apocalypse. Just an endless procession of little ones.”― Neil Gaiman, Signal to Noise. I am absolutely new to writing and will take any and all constructive criticism. Please give feedback, it is greatly appreciated. I will update the tags as they change, and I hope that you enjoy this little story I'm writing! Quick warning: Seamus is intentionally a flawed character, and this story is going to explore those flaws and perhaps even change a few of them. I do not agree with all of his actions, but it is what it is.

The Emperor's Chef
"Cook like your life depends on it, kid. Because it does." Charles had an enviable future lined up for him. Training from the age of five by some of the finest chefs in the world. Schooling at a top culinary academy in the capital. An honorable position as heir to House Boulier, a line of merchant-lords who have charmed the rich and powerful with their cooking for centuries. And in a single night, it all burned to ash. When the outbreak of war destroys his hometown, Charles is charged with escorting his family’s sacred treasure—a recipe book passed down for untold generations—out of harm's way. But his simple mission grows complicated when he’s captured by one of the most feared battalions in the world: the Spears of Mercy. Life as a prisoner in their war camp is brutal and uncertain. Charles has few allies and even fewer strengths to rely on. Only his skills in the culinary arts, honed over a lifetime in the kitchen, are deemed useful enough to keep him alive another day. But he’s not out of hope just yet. With a dash of wit, a pinch of luck, and some very creative cooking, he might just find a way to recover his family’s legacy and take back his freedom. This project is a food-themed fantasy that centers on cooking and chefs. The setting spans a wide world featuring ingredients/recipes both real and inspired by traditional fantasy. I'll eventually be publishing it as a full-length novel (or series of novels depending on length). These are the first draft chapters. I'll likely be re-writing more than once, then editing before publishing, so impressions and feedback are quite welcome. If you like the story so far and you're interested in being an early reviewer for the final product, feel free to message me. I'm looking for an artist to make some concept art and a cover (the cover shown here is just a temporary placeholder). A stand-alone novel for now, but it may turn into a series down the road.
