《The Eighth Sin Emerges?(Meliodas X Reader!)》Chapter 7

The next day, 7:50 am
Y/N's PoV:
I woke up, rubbing my eyes. I blinked a few times, trying to adjust to the bright sunlight pouring into the room.
"Morning!"Said Meliodas.
I turned my head to see him laying down beside me, smirking.
"Meliodas...? What the hell are you doing in my room?!
"I came to check on you. You look cute when you're asleep by the way."He chuckled.
I rolled my eyes and pushed him off the bed. He landed on the floor with a thump. There was a light blush on my face, thankfully he couldn't see it. Meliodas sat up.
"You called me by my name, Y/N."He said.
"S-Sorry....I just woke up and It's wasn't thinking so-"
"It's fine, I don't really care what you call me Y/N"He shrugged.
He stood up and walked to the door.
"Everyone is downstairs already, you should get some clothes on~"He smirked, walking downstairs.
I glared at him while he walked away.
"He looked paler than usual...." I mumbled to myself.
I can't remember much from last night. I remember getting to my room and collapsing on my bed, but everything is hazy after that. Standing up, I went to my closet. I looked at my one outfit and sighed.
"Maybe I could go shopping with Elizabeth for some more clothes...."
I put on my F/C cloak, along with the tavern uniform, and headed downstairs.
"Hey."I said, walking over to everyone.
"Hello Y/N, did you rest well?"Elizabeth asked.
"I guess, I mean I don't remember going to sleep last night. Or anything after we got back to the tavern."I sighed, rubbing the back of my neck.
Ban looked at me"You don't remember? Seriously?"he asked.
I shook my head. They were silent for a moment but then Meliodas spoke,
"You kinda jumped out your window and started wrecking the forest."
"What? Seriously?"I asked.
"Yeah~ You tried to kill me too, shouting stuff that we couldn't understand."Ban continued.
"Sorry...."I sighed.
I felt Meliodas grope me from behind.
"It's alright, we forgive you"He said.
I pushed him off, a blush rising to my face.
"What the hell Meliodas?! Elizabeth, do you want to go shopping? I don't have many clothes and I'm not staying here with Meliodas so...."
"I'd love to!"She said happily.

"Right, let's go then."I said, walking out the door with Elizabeth.
---------------------------------------------------
"I think this would look nice on you, Y/N!"Said Elizabeth.
I looked at the long L/F/C dress.
"How am I supposed to fight in something like that? It's not my style anyways. Sorry...."I said, rubbing the back of my neck.
"O-Oh! That's alright, Y/N. What kind of clothes do you like?"
She looked a little upset. Was I a little too harsh? We walked through some more clothing shops. There wasn't many things other than dresses being sold for girls here. I sighed.
"What's wrong?"Elizabeth asked.
"There's a lot of dresses here, not much stuff to wear in combat."
I glanced around looking for something to buy. I had picked out some F/C shorts, two black tank tops, and a new F/C cloak. I finally had some new clothes!
"Are you hungry Elizabeth? We can go get some food if you are, I'll pay."I smiled.
"Really? You don't have to do that Y/N, I can just eat something at the tavern-"
I cut her off,"Nope, you're not going to eat Meliodas's awful cooking. Pick any place to eat okay?"
We walked along to a small food stall, and Elizabeth ordered some food. I payed the person selling it, and we started walking.
"Hm? You're not going to eat anything Y/N?"Elizabeth asked.
I shook my head"I'm not very hungry right now. We should start heading back, we have to work in a few minutes"
"A-A few minutes?! We're going to be late!"She cried
I chuckled"Meliodas won't care.....hopefully."
We headed back up to the tavern, talking about random things on the way up.
-------------------------------------------------------
"Wow, it sure is packed in here!"I said amazed.
The entire tavern was filled, and we had to push through some people to get to Meliodas, who was behind the bar serving drinks.
"Sup Meliodas."I said.
He glanced up at us"You're late for work"
"Yeah, we know. You seem to be managing without us though."I chuckled.
I took off my cloak and set it behind the counter. I started taking orders from tables. I saw a group of people come in, they looked pretty suspicious. Still, they were customers so I walked over to take their orders. I also didn't want Elizabeth to go over just in case they're creeps.

"Hello! Welcome to the Boar Hat tavern! What can I get you?"I politely asked.
"Well aren't you a pretty lady~ We all want some of the strongest stuff you got."A man said, winking.
Gross.
"Alright, I'll be back with your drinks soon."
I walked over to Meliodas and told him the orders.
"Hey, keep an eye on those guys in the corner okay?"I said.
He nodded, handing me the drinks. I took all seven over to the table.
"Here you go!"I said, placing the drinks down.
I was about to walk away when one of them grabbed my arm and pulled down into an empty seat at their table.
"Hey babe, you should stay with us for a little while~"One of the six said.
I glanced over at Meliodas and he was glaring over at the men. I shook my head.
"I can't, I'm working."I calmly stated.
The extra drink they ordered was pushed in front of me. I nervously pushed it away.
"Come on pretty lady, have some fun with us-"
"-Is there a problem here?"Meliodas interrupted.
I stood up beside Meliodas, sighing in relief.
"What's a kid like you doing in a tavern?"One asked.
Meliodas crossed his arms. "I'm the owner. I'd appreciate it if you'd leave my friend alone."
Friend? Why did I feel...disappointed? We walked back to the bar, leaving the six men by themselves in the corner.
"Thanks, Meliodas"I smiled.
"No problem Y/N"He replied.
I went back to taking orders from customers, avoiding the table with the six men at it. The rest of my shift was easy, and Elizabeth seemed to be getting the hang of her job.
10:59 pm.....
I didn't even realize how late it was starting to get. I was just sitting on the stairs, watching Ban, Elizabeth, Meliodas and Hawk talking and having fun at the tables.
Ban was drinking, which is what I expected him to be doing. Meliodas was talking with Elizabeth, and Hawk was just eating scraps.
Suddenly I remembered the conversation from earlier. Did I really wreck the forest? I walked down the stairs and headed to the door.
"Y/N? where are you going?~" Ban asked.
"The forest."I simply stated.
My hand reached for the doorknob.
"Don't wake up Diane."Meliodas said.
I rolled my eyes and walked outside. I quietly headed to where the forest should have been, only to see a giant hole in the ground.
"I did that?"I whispered.
I jumped down into the hole. It was quite deep.
"Yep. I definitely did this. I can still feel some of my magic energy here."I sighed.
Suddenly, I felt a stinging pain in my shoulder.
"What the hell?"I growled, looking at my shoulder.
Stabbed into my shoulder was a spear. A spear that I knew very well......
"Hello, Y/N."A voice said from behind me.
"This spear....King?"I whispered.
The spear was harshly pulled out, leaving a bleeding wound in my shoulder. Me and King never seemed to get along, and fought a lot with eachother when all of the sins were together. We were basically enemies.
"Long time no see."I chuckled, turning around.
"Not long enough. Your temper tantrum last night is what lead me here. Ban is here too, correct?"
His voice was so....emotionless. Not that I really cared though.
"Yeah. Ban is here. Might not want to make any noise though, because Diane is here too."I glared.
He froze up for a second, but returned to normal shortly after. I smirked, and Chastiefol was sent right in front of my neck. I grabbed it and moved it away.
"Aww do you miss your girlfriend King?"I smirked.
I definitely got him angry now. I wasn't paying attention to Chastiefol, because it had turned into a large amount of small daggers. King moved his hand, and in a flash the daggers all came flying at me.
"Demon Chains: Shield!"I shouted.
A chain bubble formed around me. I got a few cuts from the daggers that managed to hit me. I heard the door of the Boar Hat slam open. My bubble disappeared and I looked up at King, smirking.
"This isn't over, Y/N."King growled, flying off with Chastiefol.
Meliodas appeared at the top of the hole. I moved some of my H/C hair out of my eyes and waved up at him, then collapsed on my knees. I saw Meliodas jump down and land in front of me. He picked me up and jumped back out of the hole.
"Hey Meliodas."I said.
"What happened to you Y/N?!"He asked, running back to the tavern.
"Nothing important, I just had a meeting with an old friend."I smirked.

I Became a [Biologist] in a Fantasy World!
I loved Biology - always have, and always will. Unfortunately for me, years of fruitless research whittled away what little joy I had left in what I did. Escapism came in the form of reading isekai works, where the stresses of real life seemed so far away.Luckily, I was summoned to a fantasy world of magic, dragons, and other mythical beasts. I didn't even need to deal with the Demon Lord threat, since it seemed that my summoning was a mistake, and all they needed was the Hero who was coincidentally summoned together with me! There was no revenge subplot, no hidden trap directed against me, and they even paid me compensation for their mistake. At long last, I could finally do what I ever wanted to do - experiment for the fun of it!With my new class as a [Biologist], none of this fantasy world's mysteries will be left untouched. Even if the Demon Lord himself comes knocking, nothing will stop me from researching every nook and cranny there is to discover of the magical biology of this world! ----I write extremely casually, and purely for leisure. Updates will likely be irregular, depending on when inspiration strikes and whether I can spare the time to work on this. Don't expect too much out of this, and certainly not anything close to professional quality! Inspired by an overconsumption of Japanese light novels, manga, and anime... expect their influence to slowly but surely take hold.

The Last Marshal
Weird West Fantasy Noir Once the Republic Marshals brought order to the chaotic lands along the Frontier, facing dangers both human and supernatural with ancient wisdom and a six-gun —but that was a long time ago. Destroyed by conspiracy and betrayal, all that remains of that secretive order is one nameless man on a trek though the West seeking revenge on the woman he blames for the Marshals' fall and his disgrace. When a visitor from our world joins him on his journey, they together must confront the horrors of a strange land, the mysteries of the past and the real meaning of their quest for justice. The world of Tellus is what 19th Century Earth would have looked like if the stories of Poe, Ambrose Bierce, Lovecraft and William Hope Hodgeson were real. History in this world moves slower. The old faiths persist and civilization never conquered the dark corners of the map, at least not without being inextricably changed. Technology and culture takes a little longer to evolve in this land, as people here tend to spend more time pursuing their elaborate revenge plots or trying to avoid being the next sacrifice to the Outer Gods rather than advancing science or statecraft. Imagine Cormac McCarthy by way of Edgar Rice Burroughs, though a little less testosterone-drenched than that description would imply. Three caveats: First, there are deep mysteries here, including how such a world came to be and who controls it. Second, this world is not wholly unconnected from our own. There is a historical point of divergence, but in the distant past. To paraphrase Twain: history in this world is not a repeat of our own, but it does often rhyme. And finally, this is not a setting that lends itself to happy endings.
