"This girl of yours ran into the hospital, funniest thing I've ever seen."

"She tricked the body guard."

"She completed your geographical profile like a master, I think you got competition pretty boy."

"Then she pulls out these newspapers"

"And she talked the UNSUB into a full confession"

"I swear Hotch looked proud at one point"

"Your girl wouldn't back down for nothing"

"I thought she was going to punch him in the face"

Spencer looked down at Danny in amusement and pure admiration while her face heated up with all the praise. This was not how he thought she would meet the team, but he loves that she has seemed to capture each of their hearts in some way.

"It was nothing guys. Plus we still don't know who his accomplice is back at the university."

They caught Spencer up on all the details on how the case went down and how it was connected all to Danny's attack.

"Why don't you look into his past?" Spencer asks while turning to look at Garcia. "Anyone around the Charlottesville area in connection to him should be questioned."

"They weren't dangerous, and had nothing to do with the killings. But they are an accessory to his crimes."

Garcia looked it up. "So here's the deal. When an FBI agent got on Steve Casino's case they called child protective services to take the kid away because the mother had cancer and was in the hospital. The daughter now goes to the University of Virginia."

"And the agents name?" Danny asked but already had an idea.

"Alex Garcia," Penelope said. "Hey, he has the same last name as me."

"Yeah, that's my dad," Danny said wistfully.

"We have the same last name then!" Garcia says excitedly.

"Daniella Estella Garcia," her Spanish accent comes back out again. It's a lot more fun.

"Garcia is actually a fairly common surname with it being the 8th in the United States in 2000," Spencer shifts to tighten his hold an Danny.

"So what's the name of his daughter? We should inform the local police station there," Emily asks.

"Beatrice Casino."

"Wait Triss?!" Danny almost sits up in shock, but Spencer keeps a hold on her and cuddles farther down.

"I'm not really surprised," he mumbles while unconsciously stroking up and down the girls back, "she kind of seemed to hate you."

"She flirted with you," Danny grumbles out before turning her face into his side.

Spencer smiles widely. While the team chuckles at the girl. "I never liked her," he whispers sweetly in her ear, soft enough for only her to hear.

"Were you two friends?" JJ asks the girl in Reid's arms.

"Oh, god no," Danny shudders. "That girl was horrible."

"I am convinced Triss is the one who broke in to Danny's apartment. She was bragging about something later that morning. I connected the dots," Reid shrugs to the team.

"Okay I'll let the local office know," Prentiss stands before walking to the door to make the call.

Triss wasn't dangerous, that they knew of, so they figured the police would be able to question her no problem. They wouldn't need to be there for that. As far as they are concerned, the case is closed.

"Well, I hate to do this to you Reid, but Strauss wants us back at the BAU tonight to get the paperwork done. I'm sure you are fine with riding with Danny back to your apartment after you get discharged?" Hotch spoke while standing. Danny knew deep down that he was asking more than demanding. He wouldn't want to leave a teammate behind. Aaron was just a big softy for his agents on the inside.

"Yeah I'll be fine," he smiles at the team and tells them each good bye. They linger to talk to Reid before each one leaves.

"Are you sure kid? I've seen Dan's car," Morgan leans in to whisper comically. "I think you won't be out of the hospital for long."

"Hey! Don't talk about Harold like that," Danny grins up at the dark skinned man. He just chuckles and shakes his head before laying a hand on Spencer's arm and a saying a goodbye.

"Don't be a stranger Danny," he calls out without turning back and leaves the two alone.

It's silent for awhile, the two just laying in each other's embrace. The calm after the storm. Danny finds her hand laying softly over Spencer's chest, trying to keep pressure off his wound on this right side. Her head in the crook of his shoulder.

"I'm sorry all this happened to you," Danny tilts her head up to see his chin back and eyes closed. He pops open at her voice and meets her gaze.

"There was nothing you could have done to stop it. Yeah maybe I wouldn't have been singled out, but his case would have been brought to the BAU either way. The stressor of finally loosing his wife was his trigger to start the killings."

Danny thinks of his words for a moment. She still feels immense guilt over it all, but she's knows feeling guilty and pushing people away won't help anything now. She just has to make it up to the beautiful doctor in anyway she can.

"I know, I understand," Danny nods at his words.

He lefts his hand to her face, tracing the curve of his cheek and hooking under to bring her face closer. "I want you to move in with me," he says only a hairs width away from her lips.

"I already live with you," Danny raises an eyebrow.

"Okay, I want you to live with me," he says.

Danny furrows. Isn't that what he just asked? The confusion is plain on her face. Until Reid sighs again.

"I'm not doing this right," he mumbles out. His gaze flicks around the room before he steals his nerves to ask Danny the real question he's been wanting to ask. Ever since he's been in the hospital, the darkness eating him up, the pain. All he's been thinking about is the girl who needed him most while he was stuck on a hospital bed. Like a cliche story book, he realized his feelings after he got hurt. After he thought he might not see her again. Though, Spencer would never say that out loud. You never know if Morgan is right around a corner.

"Would you go out with me," he asks the real question this time, "like, be my girlfriend?"

Danny only has to pause for a second, looking at his cute nervous face before she completely dissolved in his arms. Danny knew of her feelings way before Spencer did, and she is glad he finally did.

"Yes, of course I will," Danny moves the last few millimeters to close the gap between their lips. Their mouths mold together in the best way. This one filled with passion and heat, not like the peck he gave her before he left.

They pull back after a moment.

"By the way, I still think we have chemistry," Danny can't help herself from stating that fact.

Reid signs in exesperation, "I've told you before that chemistry doesn't exist-"

"Yes it's all up to the chemicals in the brain, from the first meeting within the first seconds to decide if someone is attractive," Danny cuts him off.

"And the first kiss," Reid adds on at the end, remembering when he wrote out the whole paragraph over text and surprised she remembered it.

Danny smiles up at Spence, "well, how was that kiss?"

"I don't know," he pauses to grin down at her. "Why don't I try it again?"

And their lips meet again.
