《Growing Old》Vows

Bakugo was sweating. Now, that was a dangerous thing. He was behind the crowd of guests that were seated, and he tried to point people out by the back of their heads to get his mind off his emotions.

It wasn't working.

Kirishima grabbed his shoulder and whispered to him, "Cool it, man. Cant have you blowing anything up."

"No shit." The blonde mumbled as he watched his parents and Inko walk down the aisle and take their seats.

He took a deep breathe, walking with the officiant to the wedding podium. He held his hands behind his back, gulping down bile. He hated this nervous energy he had, and he believed he shouldn't even have it, but this energy was cranked up a notch when music began to play and Todoroki and Kirishima walked side by side down the aisle.

Just like the rehearsal, they went to their places, a serious tone setting the air.

Then it was Mina and Uraraka. Mina had a light orange dress on while Uraraka sported a teal one. They had a small bouquet of red flowers, and were followed by Kaminari and Tsuyu after they took their places. Their outfits were of similar color. Sero and Iida were next, then Kota and Eri. Katsume walked down with a set of rings on a red pillow and took his place next to Kota.

And finally, Mahoro walked down, sprinkling rose petals onto the ground as Izuku and All Might followed. Izuku and Bakugo locked eyes, their faces growing into giddy smiles. All Might gave Izuku a pat on the back before taking his seat and Izuku taking his place. Now, Bakugo had only seen him an hour ago, but tears pricked his eyes, and of course Izuku's, at the sight of his almost newly wed.

The officiant looked between the two with a warm smile, "We're all here today to celebrate the relationship of Izuku Midoriya and Katsuki Bakugo. Together we're a group of the most important people in their lives and they've brought us here to publically recognize that we've all played some special part in the love they share today. These two wanted me to thank you all for being here and to recognize how important each and every one of you are. They would also like to recognize all of those who couldn't make it here today as they are certainly missed but not forgotten on this day of celebration. Especially the cat Izuku has yet to get, just as the dog Katsuki wants."

There were some chuckles and the man continued, "A good marriage is built on the foundation of this commitment. In marriage the little things are the big things. It is never being too old to hold hands. It is remembering to say I love you at least once a day. It is never going to sleep angry. It is standing and facing the world together. It is not only marrying the right partner, it is being the right partner . The road that has brought Izuku and Katsuki here today hasn't been easy. It's been filled with challenges that they weren't necessarily prepared for. But together they've taken each one on and have used those experiences to strengthen, not weaken their love. The vows that these two are about to make are a way to share your love and commitment to each other in your own words. These vows are your way of openly declaring your promise to one another as well as to all of those who are here in attendance today. Izuku Midoriya, please repeat after me."

The officiant said some lines, allowing Izuku to say them between as an oath, "I, Izuku Midoriya, take Katsuki Bakugo, to be my wedded husband, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death do us part, and therefore I pledge myself to you."

Katsuki had to say the same thing, besides having to switch the names around. Katsume moved up with the rings, Izuku taking one, Bakugo taking the other. They did another pledge, sliding the rings on eachothers' finger.

"Izuku Midoriya, do you take Katsuki to be your husband? Do you promise to love him, comfort him, honor and keep him, in sickness and in health, and, forsaking all others, be faithful to him as long as you both shall live?" The officiant asked.

"I do." Izuku sniffled.

"And you, Katsuki Bakugo?"

Bakugo nodded vigorously, "I do."

"And by the power invested by me, you may kiss your husband." The officiant started.

Bakugo was not joking around. He quickly cupped Izuku's face and smashed his lips against the greenette's as the guests erupted into cheers. Though, the two didn't hear all the commotion. It was their moment, and all noise and scenery drowned out around them.

When the pulled apart with wide smiles and tears streaming down their cheeks, the Officiant chuckled, "It is with great honor and privilege to be the first to present to you, Mr. and Mr. Bakugo."

Bakugo grabbed Izuku's hand, raising it up high in the air as the guests clapped and whistled. The greenette leaned into his now husband, their hands falling down to their sides. He leaned up and planted one last kiss to Bakugo's lips before they lead the wedding party back down the aisle.

"This is a huge step for us." Izuku said, grabbing the blonde's hand again.

Bakugo gave it a reassuring squeeze, "You regret it, husband?"

"Not one bit, husband." Izuku jokingly mocked.
