《After I Transmigrated as A Mermaid, I Transmigrated Back (MTL)》1

Deep sea, under ten thousand meters.
In this depth of the sea, few creatures have appeared, and the travelers passing by are mostly alone, silent and quiet.
Zhao Xiaokui lifted her head, gritted her teeth, her slap-sized face was full of determination, and the fish tail was slammed by her, like a sharp arrow, straight up, and the water flow left behind her. bubble.
Rise, rise, rise again.
She didn't have precise equipment to record the depth of the water she was in, only the discomfort in her chest due to the drastic drop in sea pressure reminded her that she was rising and was constantly approaching the sea.
I don't know how long it took to swim. When Zhao Xiaokui realized she was tired, she realized that the surrounding environment had gradually become brighter. She finally reached a place where the sun could shine into the sea.
At this height, there have been huge schools of fish activities, and they gather in groups to avoid hunting by predators.
The huge predator watched from the sidelines, sometimes washed away the fish, sometimes opened her big mouth, sucking the prey into her mouth, she only glanced at it, and then continued upward.
She is going to the sea to take a look at the sun.
In the first eighteen years of her life, Zhao Xiaokui had never thought that she would long for the sun so much, like a fish longing for water, and a hungry child longing for the mother’s. As long as she thinks that the sun is not far away, she Her eyes gleamed uncontrollably, even though her chest was painful due to the drastic changes in pressure, and blood was leaking from her facial features, she still tried desperately to move upstream.
Only those who have lost the sun can understand how beautiful the sun is.
During the five years of living in the deep sea, Zhao Xiaokui couldn't think of it herself. What she missed the most was not the computer and mobile phone, but the sun.
She missed the warmth of the sun, the dryness of the sun, and the feeling of warmth when the sun fell on her body when she walked under the sun with her legs.
She even dreamed of throwing herself into the sun, burning in the raging fire.
The pressure of the sea water is getting less and less, she can even see the sky with white clouds floating through the water.
Wow----
A pair of slender arms pushed aside the water, and immediately, a girl with long hair like seaweed got out of the water.
Her facial features are exquisite, whether it is the thick but distinct, curly eyelashes, the lips like rose petals, and the nose bridge carved with jade, all are perfect, the proportions are just right, and God seems to have all The beauty was bestowed to her, and the golden sunlight spilt on her wantonly, shining her snow-white skin like oriental ceramics, bright and white.

She raised her head and looked directly at the sun like a sacrificer, as if she wanted to grow a pair of wings and plunge into the flames of the sun.
Finally, I finally saw the sun in this world, as warm and bright as in memory...
Zhao Xiaokui laughed like a fool, tears constantly pouring out, the warm feeling made her realize that she was crying for the first time.
Rather than being in the deep sea, even if the eyes are sore, I don't know if I shed any tears.
What gushes out with tears is a lot of blood. Deep-sea mermaid cannot leave the deep sea, but there is no mermaid who will float up quickly in a short time like her, completely ignoring the adaptability of the body—even the mermaid’s. The body is strong, but the fragile internal organs are still difficult to resist changes in pressure.
Injury is inevitable.
Predators were attracted, ignoring the mermaid's terrible reputation, and hovering around her.
This is the ocean. As long as you start to bleed, even if you are at the top of the food chain, you will still be coveted by other predators.
Zhao Xiaokui didn't worry about the safety of her life at all—because she struggled upwards and tried to emerge from the water. When she saw the sun in this world, she never thought of living.
Before her sanity was about to fall into chaos, her first twenty-three years of life, like a revolving lantern, were shown before her eyes.
"It turns out that I will really see my life before I die..."
She saw her birth in a very old hospital. The corridors of the hospital were narrow and cramped, half of the walls were dirty green, and the light above her head was dim. The nurse wearing a hat and a mask removed her from the delivery room. Hold it out; she saw that on the day she was in elementary school, carrying her schoolbag and looking back three steps, her grandmother was at the school gate, waving to her with a smile; she saw that she had graduated from the college entrance examination, singing loudly with her classmates in KTV, and drinking alcohol...
Then the scene switched, and then opened her eyes, she changed from an ordinary 18-year-old girl to a juvenile mermaid.
Just regaining consciousness, he suffered a mermaid version of campus bullying.
In order to survive, she pulled out the harpoon that pierced her tail and held it out.
Life in the deep sea is much crueler than that written in fairy tales.
Mermaid is a wise species, but they neither pay attention to benevolence and morality like humans, nor do they pay attention to their offspring like most races. They are cold and cruel in nature and only give birth to no breeding. All mermaids will be given away once they are born. Go to the high priest, raise and protect them together—of course, this protection is only external, not internal.

In other words, the mermaid started fighting from birth, and weak individuals were destined to be abandoned.
What Zhao Xiaokui passed through was a mermaid that should have been abandoned.
Fortunately, she was barefoot and not afraid of wearing shoes, and forcibly regained her right to life.
But only the right to survive.
Because of his weak body, and because the harpoon injured the tail of the fish, Zhao Xiaokui’s coming-of-age ceremony was destined to have only two choices: either become a vassal of a powerful mermaid and be the other's forbidden (due to her fishtail disability, but also Someone may not look at her), or die in the bargaining ceremony of the mitzvah, as a sacrifice for others' adults.
It is also a sacrifice, Zhao Xiaokui would rather sacrifice himself to the sun.
On the day when the coming-of-age ceremony was about to begin, taking advantage of the moment the priest opened the barrier, she strenuously moved forward, just to be able to see the hard-to-see sunlight in the deep sea.
"does it worth?"
Zhao Xiaokui asked herself in her heart, and then gave the answer: "It's worth it."
As long as she saw the sun, it proved that she was not dreaming in the eighteen years before the journey, and she was not relying on fantasy to support her life in the past few years.
She is really...have wonderful memories.
In the bright sunshine, Zhao Xiaokui slowly closed her eyes, in a trance, she seemed to be returning to that summer afternoon, she was sleeping on the mat, a ray of sunlight slanted in from the window, and grandma was lying beside her. I closed my eyes and shook the cat fan for her, the breeze was lingering, and the cicadas sang.
Her consciousness plunged into darkness.
In the sun, the girl closed her eyes tightly, her lips turned up slightly, as if she was dreaming.
Not far away, the huge predator tentatively approached in her direction.
Seeing that the prey did not respond, it slowly opened its huge mouth, as if it were laughing, and as if it was preparing for hunting.
Click——
The upper and lower teeth slammed into each other violently, but there was no feeling of biting the prey.
The girl who drifted with the water, was hit by it, turned into a bubble, and rose slowly towards the sun.
...
S city, coffee shop.
The café located opposite the office building is decorated in a clean and bright style. The sun shines in through floor-to-ceiling windows, and large tracts fall on the table.
The central air conditioner is silent and quiet, but the temperature is controlled to the right level. The white-collar elites who are well-dressed may click on the keyboard with their fingers to crackle at the computer, or hold coffee and dessert and talk in a low voice. In the corner deck, under the cover of tall green plants, two women sat face to face.
"Miss Zhao, everyone is smart. People don’t talk secretly. You stay with Rongzhen for nothing more than Rongzhen’s resources and money. As long as you leave Rongzhen, I will give you all these. This is five hundred. Wan, it’s my sincerity to show you.” Shen Zhifei pushed a check for five million to the woman opposite, “I know Miss Zhao doesn’t lack this little money, and I don’t mean to insult you. I also appreciate Miss Zhao’s work very much, but because of the upcoming marriage relationship between the Shen family and the Rong family, I hope that Miss Zhao can change a sponsor, and Rong Zhen can provide you with the resources and care. I can also provide it to you. I I believe Miss Zhao has this value."
Zhao Xiaokui was stunned for a while before he could clearly hear what the opposite woman was saying.
"Sorry," she opened her mouth blankly, "I think I might need to go to the bathroom."
Shen Zhifei paused, "...My conditions are these, Miss Zhao can think about it."
Regardless of the attitude of the woman on the other side, Zhao Xiaokui hurriedly stood up after saying this. After looking around the coffee shop, he walked in three steps and two steps toward the direction of the toilet sign.
Her movements were really hasty. She stepped on her high heels like she was about to smash a hole on the ground. Shen Zhifei thought she was going to the toilet as an excuse, but now it seems that she is really anxious.
The toilet in the coffee shop is not big, there are only four face-to-face compartments, the mirror is very spacious, and it is squarely attached to the wall.
Zhao Xiaokui pressed his hands on the marble countertop of the sink, took a deep breath, closed his eyes tightly, and raised his head after making sufficient mental preparations.
What was reflected in the mirror was a familiar face.
She moistened her hand and wiped the corner of her left eye desperately. As the skin was rubbed red by her, a mole of tears covered by concealer was also exposed.
After seeing the mole, she lifted her hair, exposed her right ear, took off the little swan's earrings, and found a small mole under the earrings.
This is her body.
Even if it is still unclear what happened, who was the woman outside, Zhao Xiaokui still confirmed the fact that she was back.
After five years, when she was almost desperate for the world, she returned to her body again.
Regardless of a stranger waiting outside, Zhao Xiaokui opened a compartment and sat on the toilet, covering his face and crying.
She has come back.
She finally returned to the human world.

8 109Path of the Ancients
When humans with the ability to control the fundamental particles of the universe with their minds were first discovered, the age of space travel began in earnest. Relativistic travel faster than the speed of light became possible and humanity moved out into the stars. When it was discovered that these Mages could be turned into effective weapons, humanity turned back to its oldest pastime of war. Hundreds of years later as humanity was on the brink of self-destruction, with its taste for war finally beginning to wane, a new organization was created. The Conclave was formed to regulate all Mage’s within the human colonies. While the colonies maintained their independence, the Conclave’s control over access to interstellar travel made them the de facto power amongst humanity. As the old saying goes, ‘Power Corrupts’, and many people were unhappy with the way the Conclave had been leveraging its authority, not the least of which were the Mages they controlled. One unregistered illegal Mage by the name of Tyrial had made it his life's mission to dismantle the Conclave at any cost. After spending decades working towards his goals alone, he realized he would need the aid of willing allies in his crusade. Tyrial would need all the help he could get learning to work with others, dealing with his own dark past, and handling unfamiliar feelings of romantic interest. Content Warning Note: They are there to cover my behind. I honestly hesitated to put them there at all but I figured better safe than sorry. Gore in particular barely applies and the sexual content amounts to light Cinemax style at best. But, at least now you can’t say I didn’t warn you. 8 116Runicka: Tournament of Monsters (A GameLit Card Game Fantasy)
The runes are changing, and with it, the game itself changes. Taygion Ardwella finds himself stranded, alone, and on the run from some very determined guards who claim Tay's stolen from them. They're right, but that shouldn't mean Tay has to give back what he took. He's only been in Stormwall for a week and already, he's earning the ire of the most powerful and notorious House that controls the city's underground. And when their scion challenges Tay to a duel of cards, Tay will find himself thrust into a game of sorcery and strategy as he attempts to both find a way out of this mess and find his own way in the world. To do both, he'll need to learn to accept guidance and coaching where it's sorely needed, craft a deck of unimaginable power, and not die whenever his opponents try and cheat him out of a hard-earn victory. But not all is as it seems in the shadows of Stormwall, and if Tay can figure out the importance of what it is he's stolen, he may just have a chance at saving the game of Runicka. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Runicka: Tournament of Monsters is a high fantasy, card game-based adventure novel with enough magic, worldbuilding, and characters to fill a Sanderson series. I would consider it a part of the GameLit subgenre. This series in particular is not an isekai, and will start and end in a high fantasy setting complete with its own lore and backstory. It is a progression fantasy, and I am writing it inspired by all the Yu-Gi-Oh mangas/animes, and all the hours I've invested/wasted (depending on who you ask) playing TCGs like Yu-Gi-Oh and Magic: The Gathering. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This is a work in progress. In your journey through Stormwall alongside Tay, you'll probably find typos, grammatical errors, and maybe a confusing sentence every once in a while (although I hope to keep these to a minimum). That said, comments and suggestions on where I can improve are not only encouraged but greatly appreciated. And finally, expect new chapters every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~**Currently on a small hiatus. I have a bit of a workplace crisis going on. I'm still writing, but I don't have time to polish and publish. Chapters will return on a regular basis soon though!!**
