The first phase of the filming that had continued until dinner time was finally done. During their break, Director Zhao Yu reviewed the footage and felt that every frame from today’s shooting was rare and splendid. He was very satisfied.

During the night, Shen Yichong stood at the door of the bedroom, listening to the sound of his wife and his son playing and doing yoga together. However, daily-family variety shows do not obtain a well-defined plot, which could easily emanate boring scenes eroding the audience’s enthusiasm and interest.

“Sister, did you watch the videos I sent you yesterday? Those are the top-viewed variety shows that I searched on the internet. Were you able to incorporate it while filming?” Ni Yi asked her seriously.

However, Yu Yaoyao touched her mask, making sure that it was flattened out all over her face, and gently massaged the lather into her skin from the bottom to the top and from the center outwards. After a while, she tilted her head, took her phone out, and typed a few words.

“Sister, are you okay? Mr. Shen cares about you. Isn’t it a good thing?” Five years ago, the boss never cared about her nor did he ask her about what movies she filmed.

Yu Yaoyao collapsed on the back seat holding the script and sighed. “I was punished yesterday. If the director criticizes me today, he will punish me again… Ah, it’s too terrible!”

Ni Yi let out a sigh and thought of some indescribable punishments. Boss Shen turned out to be such a benign person. His fat face flushed, and since he was just a personal assistant, he immediately chased those thoughts away and talked to Yu Yaoyao about the script instead.

Upon reaching the studio, they found that some actors had already arrived. Director Zhou Lin saw Yu Yaoyao and waved at her.

“Welcome to the studio,” he said with a little satisfaction in his face. “Today’s a good day, right? Have you read the script? If you don’t understand anything, you can ask me and I will elaborate but that would have to wait. For now, I still need to check on some of the makeup artists to make sure that the outcome matches the character the artists are portraying.”

Yu Yaoyao’s role as an enchantress of the country was just a minor supporting role. In that, she bewitches the king to the point he neglects the state affairs, eventually leading to the downfall of the empire. And as her end, she committs suicide by jumping off a high platform after rebels storm into the palace.

Simply put, her role was not that difficult.
