It's happening, I'm making another album. I've officially started recording a new album with Dave Stewert as my producer. I've officially moved into the Pacific Palasides place with Sulamith, I left Mana with Lindsey. She doesn't do well with a lot of noise and chaos.

It's crazy different and as much as I like it, I don't. Lindsey called earlier because Emmeline got out of the pool and she had broken out into a rash. He put some medicine on it and iced and did what any normal person does with a rash but twenty-four hours later she woke up and she rubbed between her fingers raw in her sleep. He took her to the doctor and it turns out she's allergic to Chlorine. So, we have to drain our home pool and Emmeline has to stop swimming competitively. Like her father, she loves the water and she must be so devastated. I'm an hour away and I can't be there for her. Yet, there aren't any distractions. I do feel bad though because we left Emmeline with Sara and Nick and Lindsey and I were down here for two days. I made him rearrange everything. We're filming it and it's going to be so odd.

Working with Dave is so much easier and way more fun than working with Lindsey. I love my husband, I do but I hate working with him. However, it's been about two months and I've hit a breaking point.

My son was a soldier, and after I went to Walter Reed the first time, I went back several times and I wrote a song about it called Soldier's Angel.

"Dave, I just don't like it. It sounds too brutal, too dark." I complain.

"Well, what do you want to do?" Dave questions

"I don't know...this song has to be on the album, but I just don't know." I shake my head.

"Stevie, why don't you call Lindsey," Whaddy says breaking into the conversation.

"Lindsey! We've got to call Lindsey." I state slamming my hands on my lap.

"If you want to call Lindsey, go call him." Dave nods, so I do.

"Hey Angel, how's recording." He asks.

"It's...I need your help." I sigh in defeat.

"With what?" He questions.

"A song, I wrote kind of about Mason. I don't think I can do this song without you. If I send you the demo can you come out here?" I ask.

"Of course. But I thought you wanted to keep Fleetwood Mac and Stevie Nicks separate." He chuckles.

"Please?" I ask.

"Sure, I'll come down this weekend. Do you want me to bring Emmy?"

"Yes Please!" I smile.

"Alright, see you in a couple of days." He hangs up.

"Is he coming?" Dave asks.

"He'll be here this weekend and he's bringing my baby." I cheer.

"He's bringing Emmeline, maybe I'll have Chris bring Jessie by." Lori states.

"She'd love that." I smile.

Thursday came and Dave and I were working in the living room when we hear feet running into the room. We pause and the next thing I know two arms wrap around my neck.

"Hello my Dove, did daddy pull you out of school early?" I ask checking my watch.

"No, it was a half-day. Parent-teacher conferences." Emmeline explains.

"I'm so sorry I missed them," I say hugging her properly.

"It's okay, I went. Straight A student, excels in English, nothing out of the ordinary." Lindsey says walking in Guitar case in hand.

"Well, that's good," I say standing up and kissing my husband.

"I hope you don't mind, I brought more people than I originally planned," Lindsey says rubbing my back.

"And who all did you bring?" I ask crossing my arms.

"Come in Here!" Lindsey calls.

Mason and a very pregnant Violet walk in.

"Violet dear, you are due next month. Why are you here?" I ask hugging them both.

"We wanted to." Violet smiles.

"Well, Dave you know Lindsey. But these are my children. My son Mason, daughter in law Violet, and my baby girl Emmeline. This is Dave Stewart." I explain.

"It's nice to meet you all, Emmeline I must say, you look just like your mother." Dave smiles.

"Thank You." She blushes.

"Alright, why don't you guys go up to your rooms and get settled and then we can chat," I say.

After dinner, we're sitting around by the fire when Dave asks the question.

"So what is the song really about. Why is it so important to you."

"In 2005, Mason was discharged from the Army. He came home at Thanksgiving saying he had been discharged for a Psych reason. PTSD His group was in civilian apparel on their day off when the Irani government bombed the town square. Mason and one other boy were the only survivors. Mason got away with minor inflictions but his partner wasn't as lucky. He was a fan of mine so Mason asked me to go to Walter Reed with him to meet this boy. This song is one of the most important things I have ever done. The five years I have spent going to Walter Reed and Bethesda is probably the most important thing I've ever done in my life. I entered Walter Reed a rockstar with no problems. When I was done visiting 30 soldiers, Violet Mason, my team and I took the elevator down and when we stepped out it was a raging medivac. As I walked out of the building I watched the ambulances come in. I realized for probably the first time, I was actually a soldier's mother and I was forever changed. I wasn't to fond of Mason going into the Army and I was so angry at him but at the end of the day. I am so proud of him. Then, I thought with all the lights flashing and the ambulances coming in, what could I do? What...can I do for these kids and I thought music. I can give them music. It's about all us mothers, and the girlfriends, wives, sisters, and daughters and how hard it is to have your kid come back injured. I know exactly what it's like. We spent so many sleepless nights with Mason because of his nightmares about it. When Fleetwood Mac was touring in Europe last year, seven English soldiers were killed they were training and they really just were massacred. I was in London when that happened. And London just went nuts. SO I wrote the chorus of the poem I had been giving to the soldiers." I explain

"Wow Mason, Thank you for your service." Dave sighs shaking my son's hand.

"My pleasure." Mason smiles.

The next day, we recorded it sitting in the rotunda and when it was complete, it sounded like Buckingham Nicks.

"How long are you staying?" I question wrapping my arms around Lindsey's waist. It's nearing one in the morning and everyone has left for the weekend.

"We're going back on Sunday unless baby Buckingham makes an appearance. Violet's family is flying in Sunday so I told them we'd pick them up at the airport." Lindsey smiles his hands falling to my hips.

"Baby, I love you," I say standing on my tiptoes moving my hands from his back to the nape of his neck, intertwining them with each other.

"I love you too. I'm hurt though, you aren't wearing your wedding rings." He pouts.

"No, but I still love you," I smirk.

"Prove it." He states.

I attach my lips to his and he hoists me up into his arms, my legs going around his waist.

"Baby, I'm too heavy." I groan.

I haven't lost the pouch that I developed after Emmeline and Menopause has hit me full force. She's almost twelve and on my next birthday, I'll be sixty-one. Just a step away from seventy. I am getting so old. I'm a grandmother for Christ Sakes.

"You are as light as the day I married you." Lindsey lies.

"Liar, I am four kids heavier." I lightly slap his back.

"You love it," Lindsey smirks kissing me again.

"I do," I whisper against his lips.

We ended up having sex, which wasn't surprising, but as the clock was going on 3:45 in the morning a soft knock came at the door. I look at Lindsey and he's sleeping soundly, the blankets falling just over his hips. I throw my white silk robe on and go to the door.

"Violet, honey what's wrong?" I ask going out into the hall.

"Stevie, what do contractions feel like?" She questions.

"Well...mine were always like almost a stabbing feeling. A period cramp but like ten times worse. Why? What are you feeling?" I question.

"Sharp, squeezing pain." She winces hunching over and I place my hands on her stomach and I can feel her stomach contracting.

"How far apart are they?"I ask.

"About fifteen minutes." She breathes out.

"Okay, go wake Mason up, I'll meet you down in the kitchen. I'm going to change. You aren't in active labor yet but I think you're really close. We won't go anywhere until your water breaks though." I explain.

"Alright, but will everything be okay...I'm early," Violet says sadly.

"Honey, babies come when they're ready. I think they'll be perfectly fine." I smile.

She nods and slowly walks back to their room. I close our bedroom door, lean against the door and huff flicking the light on. Lindsey bolts upright.

"What's going on?" He asks.

"Lindsey. We are never having sex again when there is a grandbaby on the way. And you jinxed us." I say going into our walk-in closet and grabbing some jeans.

"What the hell are you talking about?" Lindsey asks.

"We were having sex when Sara went into labor. And we had sex earlier tonight and now Violet's gone into labor." I state coming out in jeans and a red chiffon off the shoulder top.

"As long as I still get sex." Lindsey pouts.

"I'm honestly surprised you don't need a little blue pill. I need you to stay here with Emmeline. We're going to call her parents and have them get an earlier flight. Her contractions are fifteen minutes apart and her water hasn't broken. So it may be a while. You can join us if you want until we have to leave." I say patting his cheek.

"I'll never need a blue pill with you. But no, if I'm stuck with in-laws and Emmy, I need my beauty sleep." Lindsey smirks laying down and grabbing my pillow.

I just laugh and head downstairs. When I get there, I am shocked by my son.

"VIOLET I TOLD YOU, COMING DOWN HERE WASN'T A GOOD IDEA. NOW WE'RE STUCK IN THE FUCKING PALISADES AND YOUR DOCTOR IS IN LOS ANGELES." Mason is yelling, Violet is crying.

"I wasn't due for another three weeks. I thought we'd be fine." Violet sobs.

"You are so stupid sometimes." He growls.

"MASON MORRIS! Enough, or I'll ban you upstairs with your father. Babies come when THEY want to. Violet had no idea when that baby would come. Especially first babies. Hell, we just got done promoting Tusk when you were born. You have absolutely no right to talk to her like that when you did it to her in the first place." I hiss walking over to Violet.

"I'm sorry. I'm just so tired and stressed out. We have nothing here. No car seat, crib, clothing, baby bag." Mason shakes his head.

"It's okay, but what are we going to do?" Violet looks at me.

"I'm having Lindsey stay, He can get you everything you need. And after the baby is born, you'll stay here with me, and Lindsey will take Mason and Emmeline back. Mason will come back to get you, the baby, and your parents. Now, about your parents. Do you want me or Mason to call them?" I ask.

"Mason." She says through a contraction.

"Mom, when I have the baby will you be in the room with us?" Violet asks tears in her eyes.

"Of course sweetheart. If that's what you want." I smile.

"Thank you, I'm so scared." She says wrapping her arms around me.

"Oh honey, don't be scared. Women have been doing this for a millenia. Whatever happens, I will always be there for you okay." I say rubbing her back.

At seven-thirty we went to the hospital, at one-thirty I was there when my grandson came into the world. Both Mason and Violet were sleeping when Lindsey, Emmeline and Violet's parents walked into the room.

"Hey Steph," Lindsey says quietly as the four walk over to us.

"Hello everybody. This is Noah Lindsey Buckingham. Born March 25, 2010, at 1:30 p.m." I smile as Violet's mom gasps motioning to hold him. I nod and she takes the sleeping baby from my arms.

"Momma, is he my nephew like Ryder is?" Emmeline questions.

"Yes Dove, he is." I smile as she looks on.

"How did she decide on Noah Lindsey?" Violet's father asks.

"I just looked at him and it came. Stevie, you should go home and sleep. I've had you up since three. I don't even know when you stopped working." Violet pipes up.

"About one, but I'm okay. I've been pulling days like this off since the seventies. I'll leave when Lindsey leaves." I say.

"Are you sure, I don't want to..." Violet starts but I cut her off.

"I'm fine Violet, I'm fine. I went 36 hours awake when I gave birth to Emmeline. Trust me." I chuckle.

"So now, Noah and Josh both share my name with me." Lindsey smiles.

"I hope you don't mind." Violet smiles.

"Not at all." Lindsey shakes his head.

"What's your full name?" Violet questions.

"Horrible. My whole name is horrible." He states adamantly.

"It can't be as bad as Violet Calliope." Violet chuckles.

"I liked it." her mother pouts.

"My full name is Lindsey Adams Buckingham. My brother Jeff is literally just Jeff Buckingham and my older brother was Gregory Fenton. I think my parents were on something when they named us." Lindsey chuckles.

"I don't think I've ever met Greg or your parents." Violet looks sad.

"No, my dad died in 1976, my mom in 1999 and my brother passed away in 1990. All three from a heart problem. Jeff and I as we've grown older have started taking precautionary measures and...even though the doctor said I've been fine for the past five years my wife is making me go annually to a cardiologist." Lindsey says as Mason snores away.
