After the Holt/Jackson run in he seemed to be avoiding me through out the whole day. It was lunch and the ghouls and I sat in our usual spot. I was poking my food with my fork paying zero attention to Cleo and her 'daddy's' party.
Soon the boys walked in and came over. Deuce went with Cleo, Clawd with Draculaura, Neighthan with Frankie, Gill to Lagoona, Heath to Patra, etc.
Wait Heath to Patra?!
Heath walked over to Patra and hugged her from behind putting his hands on her waist.
"Patra? And Heath?" I questioned looking up at them.
"Um uh I'm sorry ghoul friend but I really like him!" Patra says to me
I wasn't no where near mad. In fact I was so happy for her! Heath is definitely a flirt but he can act cute.
"No no no no no! It's fine! I'm really happy for you guys. To be honest a cute couple" I winked smiling
"Thanks Lawra" Patra smiled
"Where's Jacks- er Holt?" I asked looking at the guys
"Well uh he said he was hungry so he stayed to practice casketball" Deuce answered
"Yeah he hasn't really been himself lately.. it's kind of creepy you know?" Gill added
"Thanks. I'll talk to him" I say leaving the Creepateria.
What did you do Jacks? I asked myself
I arrived at the gym to see Jackson- still in Holt's body- shooting casketballs into the hoop but utterly failing.
I walked out and made my presence to him clear when I cleared my throat.
He quickly turned around and smiled shyly at me. "Heyyyy Laura" he says
"Jackson." I say crossing my arms
"What do you mean baby? I'm Holt" he says in a non believing tone
"Jackson. Holt doesn't call me Laura" I say frowning.

"Look I'm sorry Laura but I can't let Holt out" he says walking up to me frowning
"No Jackson. I trusted you to only use it for the night." I stepped back as my vision starts to blur. "You broke that trust."
I ran away before he could say anything else that could've hurt me. I ran in the Creepateria and ran into my older brother's chest crying.
I was so happy Draculaura didn't mind since she knew we were really close so this at least made my day.
"What's wrong?" Clawdeen asks in a worry full tone and I just sobbed even more.
Clawd comforted me by rubbing his hand in circles on my back and patting it a few times.
"J-Jackson" I managed to choke out
"That littl- ugh!" Clawd mumbled.
Everyone comforted me by saying 'everythings okay, we're always here for you' and 'don't think about him. He doesn't deserve you'
I quickly backed up from Clawd's chest and wiped my tears away smiling at them.
I really do have the best friends any one could have.

Nothing much happened after Jackson and I talked. Most of the time he was still in Holt's body and when Holt did come out I told him what had happened.
He agreed to make up a code word with him to let me know it's him since I couldn't really trust Jackson anymore.
So when Holt or Jackson came up to me I would comment "Londoom" or a place I've always wanted to visit, before he could say anything else. If he replied "Soon" or a rhyme that matched the area, then its Holt and if he said "huh or what?" It was Jackson.
Everytime it was Jackson coming up to me I would pretend I was calling someone or walk away from him giving him the Cold Shoulder.

It's was time for Ge-orge-aphy with Mr. Rotters. I sat next to Patra and Draculaura, who had a schedule change due to fearleading. Clawd and Heath, who also switched classes due to their casketball team, sat behind us so we can have our ghoul moment.
Normally Jackson respected us by sitting up in the very front but today he was sitting in front of me.
It was really strange but I ignored it and talked to the ghouls not paying close attention to the class.
The bell rung and as soon as I stood up Jackson put a note on my desk and quickly left. I was confused but read the note.
'Dear Clawra and Moon.
I'm sorry I didn't obey your rules and broke your trust for me but please know Holt and I do care about you. We eventually met up in our mind space and agreed that I would be making a few decisions in Holt's and Holt to mine so we can seem more like one monster. Please forgive me. I know you've been hanging out with Holt and I respect that just please talk to me.
-Jackson
I felt guilty for what I've been doing to Jackson. So I decided I would go meet him at the park next week but in the meantime I'll talk to Holt about my decision. I gave him a note saying exactly that and he agreed and let Holt take over.
"What'd you think, Flawless?" He says anxiously walking with me towards a near by park
"Well the reason why moon and I like you both is because of your personality and having Jackson there just kind of killed it.." I sighed dropping my head down
"So you want us to be the same when you met us?" He asked
"Yeah that's why we fell for you right?" I giggled looking at him
"Your amazing Flawless" he says stopping in his tracks and I repeated the action.
"I like you for you" I say cupping his cheek making him smile
"I like you for you too" he smiled leaning in
I did the same and our lips touched and parted after about 5 seconds. We started to walk again and get some ice cream from a ice cream parlor near my house
We walked in and got our ice cream then got out. Holt insisted on walking me home so I let him.
We laughed about stupid things and just talked. We arrived at my house and I looked over at Holt who was scratching the back of his neck. It seemed like he wanted to say something.
"What do you want Holt?" I asked in a soft tone
"I wanted to know if you would like to be my ghoul friend?" He asked sheepishly
"Of course Holty" I smiled pecking his lips. "As long as Jackson is in his form and you in yours"
"I'll try to keep that promise Flawless" he smiled. I opened the door to my house and walked in. I waved shyly at Holt as he walked out.
I went upstairs and told Clawdeen everything. She was so happy about it that we talked up until 2.
We grew drowsy and fell asleep. I was just dreaming about how my life could get any better.

Dungeon Core Chat Room.
This is a slower-paced "experiment and dungeon building" web novel that tries to use the idea of peer-to-peer communication with Dungeon Cores instead of Dungeon to slave monster communication to break up the detailed dungeon building. Rank 1 description: (minimum met for system initialization...detailed description as follows) Each race was given a system by the gods to make up for their shortcomings and balance their place in this world. Humans: Abysmally bad at understanding and using magic unable to use more than the lowest of magic were given the "Skill System" magic in the form of premade skills with use, study, and mastery tied to experience. Elves: Intuitively understand magic and have long lives leading to vast knowledge and skill in their chosen fields. However, as a species, they have nearly zero sex drive and less than low fertility, so they were gifted the "World Tree System" with experience gained through the care of natural areas – gifting the chance of children to increase their numbers without dirty copulation. All “natural” or “wild” monsters are given an "Evolution system" designed around killing and consuming as many creatures as possible, slowly increasing strength and, at thresholds, allowing mutations to alter them multiple times. Dungeon cores are different. Unlike humans, they can see, manipulate and live off mana. Unlike Elves, they naturally crystallize after extended periods of time in high mana level areas. However, they cannot easily move or communicate and typically go insane without companionship. As a species other than the odd eccentric they are unimaginative. Brute forcing solutions without the drive to truly innovate. Thus they have been gifted with the "Dungeon Connection System" a magical version of the internet accessible by their peers that allows them to barter and sell: bait, traps, monsters, and knowledge, as well as entertain each other with “adventure streams” using exciting recorded battles and humorous reels of arrogant chumps biting off more than they can chew to often fatal effects. This is the casual story of a dungeon unluckily spawned far from potential adventurers forced to innovate beyond its peers to find its place in this world. Rank 2 Description: Justification. I've been on a dungeon core kick for months and while I love the genre – it's sparse with entries. Often the forced conflict gets repetitive and frantic solving of threats "power levels" the protagonist to god levels to progress the plot – taking away the nice steady progression fantasy I'm looking for. (Progression in this story is linked to how strong of monsters/traps/whatever he can create not his "level"...this is demonstrated by some of his newer monsters beating his older monsters not with discrete "this monster has 10 attack this one has 40") Additionally, the focus on 3rd parties with their drama takes away from the reason I’m reading dungeon core novels in the first place – I'm looking for magical crafting, experimentation and kingdom building – not defence from higher and higher levelled enemies looking to steal/destroy/control the MC. This novel is kind of just me writing the story I wish I could read. I like thinking about the experimentation that can be done in fantasy settings using 'mana' as an excuse to make up rules and try to keep them internally consistent. IE once I define how a rule works, I'm going to commit to keeping it – no breaking hard truths I've given when it's convenient, even if it backs me into a corner. Hopefully, that should make the story interesting to read even if it's SOL and less action-oriented. There will be problems to solve and a clear progression in strength (of created monsters and knowledge) however due to not wanting to force conflict for the sake of conflict the general theme will be closer to slice of life with few action sequences and no overarching goal so please keep that in mind when picking this up as the genre is not for everyone. Finally, I have a clear goal of what I want from this story (not an endless romp but a series of arcs and then a conclusion that's a couple of dozen medium-sized chapters long) I want to commit to finishing it or at least bringing it to a point of rest. I hate all the engaging stories that stop with a “hiatus” indefinitely so in the event I lose motivation I'll work to end this even if the ending becomes rushed/unsatisfying just to give a sense of closure. I’m planning on including several polls in terms of direction and taking feedback heavily into account if I get enough readers (but may choose to ignore it if it deviates too far from the direction I want to take this as in feedback like: “The MC needs a cartoonishly evil arch-enemy that wants to enslave him and force the mc to pump out magic items” or “the MC needs to make a body and learn teleportation then live with humans” will get shot down without consideration.)
